Chessington General Discussion
Easter sunday will have a few gypsies on park, dunno how many but they are good fun. It seems like they've removed the top rocks from the tunnel, so they could potentially be removing the rest of the rocks.. or they might just wait until closed season to rip it down, and hopefully rebuild it at the same time.

Park Operations
It'll continue until someone has the balls to bother playing with it so it works for both worlds. Towers took the plunge this year (yet to see how that pans out - but it's more expensive for less rides and lower allocation). About time thorpe did the same, just for the sake of satisfaction.

The Smiler
The only reason terry is 1.4m, is because its the easiest possible way of preventing small children from riding and wanting to destroy themselves afterwards Trains look gorgeous.

The Poll of retirement
Is that photo taken roughly where the Monkey Swinger disabled ramp now stands?!

Cedar Point
I love how bare this trains are.. barely have anything to them!

Oakwood
It's due to open in June isn't it?

Compliments about Thorpe Park
Also very impressed with thorpe taking to social media, being very precise about what open and closed. Something towers, until today, haven't been very good at.

Legoland
Each have had their own little setbacks, all suffering from weather conditions as well. Lego also suffered as they refused to close waterworks early to allow construction to commence. So, to prevent complaints last year they've caused a wonderful delay this year. Least it's not an attraction worth complaining about.

Chessington TPM Trip
Anyone doing hotels or anything for this trip? I'm an almost guaranteed (for once) for this trip. Just trying to plan trains.. as I'll have to travel with useless trains on sunday or late sat night!

Legoland
The project is behind schedule, big time. Unsure if they're still quoting may opening time - but it won't be. Groundworks haven't even finished yet.

Alton Towers General Discussion
Issue with severely reduced ticket cost is it means more people want to visit, and therefore more people disappointed. At present, they're allowing people to enter under no pretense there's no rides available, then giving them return tickets as they leave. Easy peasy! EDIT: To add more to general discussion, towers is advertising Nemesis Sub Terra on da telly. They are really enjoying their old adverts atm, whilst awaiting smiler!

Rant
Good on ya. It's a fascinating documentary. Love it. Even made me apply for a job with trains after one of the episodes. On the sunday service note, I hate how late my trains (from home home) start from. The first one leaves at 1035. It's mental!

Wearing "Bum Bags" On-Ride
That's mainly because Chessie has absolutely ridiculous rules which go way OTT on what you need to do! Majority of rides and staff are fine with bum bags, shouldn't be an issue. As tommy says, should be okay in the ride platforms hold.

Alton Towers General Discussion
Towers had 2 closed days last year, but they were closed during the day rather than full closures. One was snow, other wind.

The Smiler
This has to be one of the worst snowfalls the parks had. It beats January by miles. The only picture which really does it justice is: http://instagram.com/p/XNZJbNg65t/ Courtesy of this person on twitter.

The Smiler
We've seen what was behind the blocked out pictures by other aerial photos. There was nothing there whatsoever (Well, a brake run).

The Future Of Catering
Yeah agreed with waffles - particularly as Legoland make theirs infront of your eyes and are god damn delicious! (if they are essentially a different product)

The Crash Pad
If we say it doesn't matter what it looks like as you won't use it, then we can include all poor decisions then. Like dung heap at towers, noone uses it as it's awful. Oh wells. Considering they are using this supposedly to "test the market", then by saying you don't have to use it because it looks horrible.. Crash Pad could be a flop, and then hotel won't be built? Make crashpad attractive, people will consider staying in them, hotel viability becomes apparent.

Logger's Leap
Wait.. they had a water effect on an inside tunnel? That's impressive.

SAW: The Ride
Agreed actually, Colossus is the only ride I keep my head back purposely, otherwise it'd hurt.

The Smiler
Red fleece with black stripe? Yeah, we know that's towers' uniform . Smiler looks good, dont it?

Chessington General Discussion
They were delayed, as per everything merlins done this year bar crash pad. Whether it was started late or not, who knows!

Chessington 2013
They had different furniture in BK era. They were all metal backs with bats or something on them. Best picture I can find with them: Or:

Chessington 2013
The main issue is BK take all their furniture with them when they leave. So, for some reason they would've taken it, even though they wouldn't be any use to any other BK site. Perhaps they just leased the tables and chairs or something.
