I don't think there is a thing such as a 'Vanilla coaster.' Your example of Silver Star for example, when it opened in 2002 was the highest rollercoaster in Europe as well as the steepest drop. It has become vanilla since but even now it is the highest rollercoaster in Germany which means it retains its gimmick, its cookie dough Ben & Jerry element.

Rather a ride that looks like its falling apart like Vampire or Runaway Train.

It's more exciting then anything Thorpe or Alton can do because Chessington is always close to my heart and for it to get something natural like this just makes me happy. Giraffes are fantastic animals. I've seen criticism around that Rhinos, Giraffes and Flamingos aren't exciting. I just think that's ludicrous and I am very grateful that some of these fantastic animals are coming to Chessington again.

You're saying that based on what exactly? Besides knowing Benin like I know Benin as a ride enthusiast who appreciates big thrill rides to all rounder family attractions, he wouldn't think of their family coasters as unworthy of mentioning if he thought they were of decent quality.

^ 18th is to good for Sonic Spinball, so be happy with that.

We're up to six then and even one of them hasn't been ridden yet. Out of 16 coasters, 5 definitely good coasters is a really poor number..

Just wanted to thank everyone for the meet on Saturday. From the ignoring of the viewing experience on the Eye and essentially talking about Disney for half an hour, to being utterly bemused by the Dungeons it was great to see you all again. Was admirable how we all managed to stick together so well for the trip too.

Air (5) Hex: The Legend Of The Towers (0) Nemesis (7) Oblivion (8) Nemesis +1 Hex - 1 Bye Bye Hex. Scores reset for the B&M showdown!

Really.. if it was any kind of ride we would know it is happening. Rides can't just pop up without anyone knowing about it in these days of the internet.

Alton Towers open day. Been a while since I last rode on Nemesis and Oblivion. Europa Park in May, a bit of Woodan and Blue Fire Denmark immediately after, blah blah 31 credits, it's all about Tornado, Daemonen and Piraten Hopefully a trip to Walygator Parc for Monster, if the park is even still open mainly because I have fear that Monster will head off to Asia instead of staying in Europe. Might visit Chessington and Thorpe on the odd occasion as well.

Yet again TPM proves it has excellent taste with those five rides left.

Like this entire game then.

Could we add a countdown clock for when we have to PM Fred please.

Now this is why I shall be getting a 3DS

And I presume you've been everyday for the last seven years and were there on its open day when it only ran one train all day then.
-
The same Thorpe that said Stealth would always run on two trains. Rule One: Thorpe Lies.

You'd never see Blue Fire or Expedition Everest at a fun fair either. I know which I personally would prefer...
-
It was really good, thanks to everyone!

On the bright side, if it isn't open there's still Nemesis and Oblivion to entertain us if SW7 doesn't open on time.

Can't wait to see you all in two hours or so. First time and last time for me in the Dungeons under London Bridge

Beautiful Rollercoaster alert.

The next big thing, good question. I personally want to see something completely unremarkable but something unexpected. There are only two types of roller coasters that I can think of that fit the bill, that being a wooden rollercoaster or a mega coaster in the vein of Expedition Ge Force or Silver Star. Wooden Rollercoaster People seem to be convinced that a wooden rollercoaster with an inversion is the way forward. I'm really down on this idea. It's fine for American parks to get these gimmicky wooden rides but I would adore it if Thorpe stuck to their guns and went for something that doesn't require an inversion to get people interested. Think about it, rides like Tonnerre de Zeus, Megafobia, Grand National, El Toro, Balder are adored by enthusiasts and public alike because they are the definition of rackety wooden rides that deliver bucket loads of air time without having a gimmick to uphold. Thorpe has enough inversions as it is, without chucking one at a ride type that doesn't really need one. Mega Coaster A Lot of companies could deliver this potential ride type. The only rollercoaster at Thorpe that really delivers nice air-time is Colossus's bunny hop. I'd love to see a ride that throws air time at its riders on every hill. I'd personally want a Mack as they have proven that they can deliver any variant of ride, one that is reliable and successful. But a crucial thing for me is why a roller coaster? Why not an epic dark ride. People often argue its not Thorpe's target audience. Rubbish, if thats true then why is one of the most successful rides of all time a dark ride.. Dark rides take up a lot of space but can be more satisfying for a larger amount of people then any terror rollercoaster. A decent IP, a long ride that scares and entertains would be a perfect ride for Thorpe, a park that does suffer from a lot of low throughput attractions and rides that are very samey (I'm thinking of the flats specifically) And finally, a few people have said that as its a low investment year, then a few existing rides should see some up-keep and repaints. The park should not be waiting for low budget years to be doing this. It should be a continuous thing otherwise you run the risks of rides like Oblivion being next to your brand new ride, completely letting the team down.

I've found the cause of the flood, it shouldn't be unexpected..

I have an a level in film studies, it doesn't make me a director of a multi million dollar blockbuster. Just because you're doing a degree in business does not make you Alan Sugar or a business tycoon. Could you please stop with this better then all of you attitude, I'd be really greatful.
