  1. I was generalising with four. But the point of your parents didn't own one until a few years ago, I'm presuming they do now. Which goes in line that smartphone technology and reach would have expanded since Josh's research quotes from 2013. Thats a taboo point. I don't know how people get through their whole batteries in less then eight hours. They must run every app on their phone and refreshing Facebook and whatsapp every few seconds..
  2. Isn't the likelihood in a group of four people, for one to not have a smartphone, very low.
  3. Was Guest Services on reduced capacity too!?
  4. Phew, that wasn't so bad. Thank you for keeping it brief LC12.
  5. I miss the optimistic AstroDan.
  6. So what you're really saying is ITS GONNA BE AWESOME.

Some excellent BS right there. Something to do with money probably. In the same way Towers likes to close earlier then it should Thorpe likes to run less trains then it should and pretends it's for the guests own good.
  8. I suppose for Florida it's pretty different to anything else there.
  9. I'd describe Boomerangs as okay myself. I really liked the one at Discovery Kingdom but hated the Knotts Berry farm one.
  10. Things like one staff member on those rides isn't a new occurrence, even 12/14 years ago, those rides had one staff member operating them. The difference is, take Buccaneer in particular, that ride use to take 20 seconds to unload/offload. Now with all the gating and seating rules, that process takes 5 or so minutes.

I looked on your website for the queue times and count 10 things closed but some of those things like Crush single rider, Main Street vehicles aren't really closed attractions (unless you want to send horse and cart and small cars in the way of a large parade. Captain EO doesn't even play at Paris anymore and Cinemagique has had its last performance of the day. So that leaves Big Thunder Mountain as the only ride under an unplanned closure.
  12. I don't like the look of it at all. It looks like its engineered to be wonky but doesn't look fun. And for a ride that is quite long, neither parts look that different from the other. Ah well.

Even though I wasn't bothered about Colossus's look particularly, that repainted bit looks mighty fine. Good work Thorpe

This forum has never been as fun as Grcade, lets face it.
  15. I hate it. But then I like Green Lantern and Kanonen so what do I know.

If there's any activity or sign of opening, there will be a flurry of activity, mark my words. Didn't it open around July last year?
  17. For the first time in a while I was tempted to go to this meet. Turns out I'm in Berlin. Bugger.
  18. I got a whole pizza for a £1 today. You just can't put a price on Nando cheeky experiences.
  19. The best way to have a cheeky nandos is to have a cheeky sangria. Otherwise it is worthless.
  20. True. And that scares me actually. Because what the population is saying is that for all the bad things currently occurring such as abolition of the human rights act or putting MP's in place who oppose same sex marriage or the equality act, the population is fine with it. Whether it comes to fruition is another thing. I'm seriously worried for the future of this country though. I don't say a thing like that lightly either. I'm proud of being a Brit and I'm proud of being part of a wider community in the EU. I don't want to see a friendly neighbourly relationship with Germany, France, Belgium and the rest being tarnished, I don't want to see the BBC wrecked beyond all recognition and I don't want the NHS which benefits every single one of us ruined in the next five years.

I somehow got into Disney pin trading which is a dangerous past time. I tend to choose badges based on my favourite rides, events I've been to or first year visiting. Currently have 2011 Walt Disney World Mickey pin Space Mountain WDW Pluto WDW 2014 Disneyland Mickey pin Everest pin Under the Sea with the Little Mermaid pin, bought on the rides first day of operation WDW Tower Halloween WDW Mickey Rainbow mickey ears 2013 Mickey Disneyland Paris Ratatouille Paris pin Walt Disney museum pin Up grape soda pin Lost my Epcot 30th pin, Stitch WDW 2012 and my Original Testrack pin broke in half. Also have The Smiler pin and logo pins for Inferno, Colossus and Tidal Wave.
  22. I've also been raised to work. I'm one of the higher earning people at the supermarket I work in because I put my heart and effort into everything I do. Life happens though, one day you can be flying high, the next you're earning next to nothing and going to the job centre. The people you say are given free money, a lot of them for the majority of their working lives, pay taxes. The benefits system is pittance compared to the tax evasion schemes that companies like HSBC, Vodafone, Amazon and Starbucks have been accused off over the past ten years. And yet its the benefit system that is made out to be the great evil. The way Cameron seems to be appointing his ministers at the moment plays like a game of 'What are you least suited to doing, okay you can run that part of the country.'
  23. That kind of talk is dangerous and assumes that people out of work are lazy good for nothings. Are you saying people unemployed don't deserve any kind of life at all. When I was made unemployed in 2010 (and the three months I was without a job), I relied on benefits (A measly £50 a week I add) to at least resemble a human being. In that time, I felt lower then I ever had before, visiting the job centre every two weeks to report on my progress. In that time, many, many people at the centre could have come from any background. Have you ever been on Unemployment benefits Project LC? I'm assuming you haven't based on your posts. Suffice to say, it's a life line to people who need hope and it takes more then 'the will' to pick yourself up from unemployment.

Europa Park is the best theme park in Europe, without the Disney name, DLP would be just another well received theme park in Europe. The difference between the two is massive. I feel like Europa is the most well rounded theme park out there with rides literally for everyone and shows in every corner. Half of a Disney park is waiting for a show or fireworks display to start and fighting iPads and kids on shoulders.
