August 4, 20197 yr comment_265700 I solemnly swear there was some discussion on Hagrid’s Bike here, but that may have been in another thread and Towerstreet. Probably both. It’s early days on this new project but I’m glad but not surprised they are getting a third gate (fourth if you count the Volcano water park). Nintendo areas imminent and the others sound guessable too. I guess they could do a Jurassic world area here as the Jurassic Park area will be in the other parks. I’m not holding off for this because I’ve never been to Orlando!
August 5, 20197 yr comment_265722 https://blooloop.com/news/universal-patent-interactive-tower-rotating-lift-stacked-rooms-ride/ This looks crazy. I will probably be to tall for it but oh well maybe I can just pretend to be immersed?
August 6, 20197 yr comment_265730 Bit like the old Pandora's Box from Vekoma all those years ago... Something for the new park?
May 17, 20206 yr comment_270096 Spreading this video for awareness of idiots. Few of my favorites: - Still allowing fans to do photo opportunities. - If you don't like the mask take it off to have a drink, as you can't drink with a mask on. - Not happy about wearing a face mask. - ALSO CONFIRMED HHN is going ahead, despite no source.
May 18, 20206 yr comment_270097 Glad to see the attractions are slowly reopening segments (albeit with restrictions and limitations). Just got to hope these all go to plan and don’t get breached. As far as current developments go, construction of (yet to be announced) Jurassic Park coaster are still going ahead, although we are yet to know when the park’s worst kept secret actually opens. Construction of Epic Universe on the other hand has been delayed for the foreseeable future, so we could be waiting many more years if this development is even still going ahead. The parks can currently submit reopening plans to the state governor, although reopening likely won’t happen until July most likely.
June 14, 20206 yr comment_270342 The Bourne Stunt Show Spectacular has opened to very good reviews in staff / soft opening previews.
July 24, 20206 yr comment_270843 Universal Orlando and Hollywood have announced that Halloween horror nights is going to be completely cancelled this year. Good decision I think as the future is still really uncertain and is better announcing this now than nearer the time, they have confirmed it'll be back for next year.
August 20, 20206 yr comment_271089 I think I know who the culprit is. Hopefully they will get it up and running soon though.
January 30, 20242 yr comment_314013 New promo for Epic Universe Introducing Universal Epic Universe And park fly through Epic Universe Flythrough Animation Edited January 30, 20242 yr by MattyB added link
January 31, 20242 yr comment_314039 Looks Incredible There doesn’t seem to be a huge number of rides in the park, but what’s there looks like it could be absolutely amazing. Great to see a duelling coaster returning too! Universal are really putting the pressure on Disney now aren’t they. Can you imagine in a few years time we get a similar trailer for the UK’s universal? A park like this will really shake things up here.
January 31, 20242 yr comment_314040 One would suggest that there's room for expansion. IOA didn't open with a massive number of attractions. Besides that, I feel that Universal are now leaning into experience park with rides as a bonus. The way in which they've pushed this "portal" entranceway (although I fear for exit policies) to make each area completely immersive shows this is at the forefront. Will be incredibly boring with the Universal and Disney fans pissing contest though.
February 13, 20242 yr comment_314690 Yeah park looks amazing. Was looking at the show building for the new Harry Potter attraction, its massive!

May 28, 20251 yr comment_325578 Epic Universe - Blue Sky - Celestial Park Really interesting Blue Sky concepts for Epic Universe
3 hours ago3 hr comment_333645 Finally visited Epic Universe last month, in what is amongst the most speculated theme parks out there currently. Avoid reader for spoilers.IMG_1564.movThe Entrance:It’s a bold striking open area, which feels like it’s taken strong inspiration from a number of European parks, such as Port Aventura, Port Laguna at Toverland and Efteling. They were definitely went for a Disney/European enthused entrance and design without a doubt. It looks beautiful. Areas/ The park currently has five areas featuring four portals and the central Celestial park, which is home to the impressive Stardust Racers. It’s a fun thrilling and impressive ride and an excellent signature coaster for the park. Less thrilling than Velocicoaster, but perfectly well paced. It’s better at the back. The carousel in the area is a unique and quirky addition. The Paris/Ministey area is striking without a doubt. They’ve definitely raised the bar from Diagon Alley, which still holds its ground with some amazing areas. Battle For The Ministry is an incredible ride and it feels like the Potter Version of Rise Of The Resistence essentially. The performance show in the area shouldn’t be missed, especially as it feels like a Westend show on a lot of places. The area just needs another ride or attraction, which they might receive in time. Dark Universe was my second area I ventured into and possibly my favourite. The Monsters Unchained Dark ride was phenomenal and is easily amongst my favourite dark rides out there. The Werewolf coaster is fun for what it is, but does feel a bit like an after thought for the area and maybe as if the budget was starting to waiver maybe. The Isle Of Baerk area feels like the underdog area in some ways, but still impresses. The hiccup glider coaster makes for a fun family coaster with a cheeky backwards bit. Hearing the flight theme made me excited for a moment. I didn’t do the other two rides in the area. The Nintendo Area is chaotic yet beautiful, much like the one in Japan, except this one requires an escalator to access which perhaps detracts a little bit, but I guess differs the area than the others. Bowser’s challenge still remains a sound interactive dark ride and Minecraft Madness is a highly enjoyable coaster despite the alarming capacity. Food/I managed to visit two eateries on my 1.5 days in Epic. Meads Tavern in Baerk and Pizza Moon in celestial park. I had a sausage based dish in Meads which was delicious and nicely served, a bit like Rutmoores Tavern in Phantasialand perhaps. In Pizza Moon, I went for the Space Cowboy pizza, which was tasty despite the slightly strange addition of chips. Numerous pizzas there had strange and wacky toppings, one was even purple. The park looks beautiful at night, with striking lighting and a closing show, featuring music from the park. Think Aquanura meets World Of Colour. We watched the show from Bar Helios, which made an interesting view, however missing the fireworks is the only setback. Overall, it’s a stunning park with so much potential. There are still creases to iron, whether it’s operational, ride selection or anything, but it’s already made a great start so far. Until next time.
