JackR
Jaws The bit in the shed never failed to scare me...On a slightly 'brighter' note: Not a huge fan of the supports... It's also interesting to see the colour contrast between the painted and unpainted parts of the loop.
Benin
Awk...Well, red and blue... Best colours to choose tbh
JackR
I suppose the old white supports would completely contrast the grey ones of Shambhala though... Blue is a step in the right direction.

TPGG
Ooh I like DK's re-paint, although I think if they didn't it would look a tad shoddy next to the brand new Shambala
thorpeparkjack
Anyone know when Shambala is due to open? I assume it is around June time?
Benin
Watching that video of Jaws shows how much difference a good Skipper made to the ride experience...It's a shame to see it go, but times change... Besides, it's still open in Japan ;)And here's an article on it from Jim Hill - http://jimhillmedia.com/editor_in_chief1/b/jim_hill/archive/2012/01/01/universal-studios-florida-s-quot-jaws-quot-attraction-sails-off-into-the-sunset.aspx

JackR
The Eagles head hovers more than 2 stories above the entrance to Dollywood's Wild Eagle coaster Its wing span measures 48 feet Weighs more than 2 tonnes and is made primarily of stainless steel. It includes the individual creation and wielding of thousands of intricate feathers. http://dw-2012.com/?p=630 Nice to see some new news emerge with this ride. It comes to show how the Wing Riders really can adapt to a very vast array of themes, and seeing this is the only one of its type that hasn't yet adopted a apocalyptic/destruction orientated theme (X-Flight is a bit controversial) I believe this will be a very unique ride for a fairly long time in the Wingrider department Sidders
Sidders
And on the topic of that eagle...Just the wings are to be finished and added now, along with a few textural renderings. The eagle has an enormous 48ft wingspan. And Wild Eagle's station is doing very nicely as well:Credit to Dollywood's official update site and CF for the image of the eagle. Benin
The turn on Skyrush made my neck physically twinge. And Cars Land (and the whole DCA redo) looks brill. Nom.Plus most international projects get ignored here. Nothing new.
TraX
I don't think that they've been ignored, I for one have been keeping a sharp eye on all west coast through last season and Cars Land is right up there on my to do list this summer.I think it's more the fact that it's a little further away from many peoples visiting range--need to be mentioned the Swarm, has probably taken over the UK forums too! AdamY
International projects don't get ignored here at all. Plenty of people take an interest, how boring would it be if we only followed what happened here? The forums would die altogether the years we get nothing. JackR
Can't wait to see a POV for this one, the underwater section and rocky walls will hopefully make this a great ride. I can imagine what the TPR POV will look like right now...

Quite sad considering its probally one of the best theming projects this year. There are so many projects going on for 2012. I think it's one of the most exciting seasons for ages. You've got Swarm, Euro-Montu (I know its not called that), Shambala, Voodan, Nemesis Sub Terra, Skyrush, X-Flight, Both US Disney park area expansions and the Dollywood ride to name but a few.
