Hethetheth
I have no idea where you guys find the time and money to go to so many places: Definitely: None Very likely: Efteling Thorpe Park Possibly (would like to go, but money/time might restrict me): Blackpool Pleasure Beach (first time, depends if friends want to go when visiting up north) Parc Asterix Alton Towers
Mattgwise
Definitely Thorpe park Chessiglngton Alton towers Blackpool Pleasure Beach Cedar point Kings Island Phantasialand Possibly Liseberg Kolmarden Gröna lund Fantasy island @Hethetheth It doesn't work out too expensive if you look in the right places. E.g I always use a MAP for Merlin parks and use Tesco club card points for Blackpool. The only real expense is the American trip and phantasialand of which is saved money over several months. Hethetheth
My nearest Merlin park is 2 hours away so I guess that plays into it a bit. After I've had holidays with my partner I don't normally gave more than 3-4 days of annual leave left for parks as my partner hates theme parks. Admittedly that last part has a lot to do with it! JoshC.
When it comes to time - if you have a partner who doesn't enjoy parks / prefers to not go to parks on their holidays, have kids / family to look after or provide for, have a career where holiday time isn't as flexible, or any other number of things, it obviously makes it difficult to plan trips. As for the cost, that's a bit more workable, especially if you have the time. Do multiple parks in one trip (saves on travel costs), be thrifty with accommodation and travel at cheaper times (which are usually more inconvenient), you can really cut the costs. That's not to say it's cheap, as sadly this is an expensive hobby. But then again, so are many other hobbies - just a case of picking your poison I guess! I see it as a really lucky situation to be in too - without a bit of good fortune, being in the position to go on these trips wouldn't be possible. It's sometimes easy to take it for granted too I think!
Hethetheth
Last year I got one day at Alton, one at Efteling whilst on another trip and 3 at Thorpe, which is one of the lowest number of parks I've done in one year for a while. I'm hoping to hop on over to Pleasure Beach for the 1st time for an afternoon whilst I'm in Manchester visiting uni friends, but it depends on what their plans are and if there's time in between. I go to Efteling yearly and aiming to be there for 2 days in March. Parc Asterix is a maybe as I'm waiting on them releasing their opening hours. I'm tempted to Eurostar over there on a weekend if rates are good (it's been 78 quid return on some weekends). May depend on whether I have other plans too! Ideally I've got 3 days of holiday to play with later in the year which I want to either use for Phantasialand, Europa Park (both of which I've done before and were great) or somewhere new like Liseberg or Tivoli. Mark9
Florida Disney parks, Disneyland Paris and Europa Park are my only real definite so far. Potentially Efteling, Toverland and Walibi Holland although that depends on wedding financing. In the Uk, only definites are Alton and Blackpool. Right now, Thorpe doesn't deserve my time and I wouldn't mind going back to Chessington.

I'll even be hitting Efteling with the Planet Coaster community as an added bonus.

profburp
Planning on visiting this Friday for the opening day! Never been to opening day before as usually working, does anyone know how busy it will be? Wasn’t expecting it to be that busy considering it’s a Friday, but I don’t really know!
