AdamY
Already seen the second video, but awesome find on the first! I'm sufficiently bothered by this that I just stood up and hung my head upside down for the duration. I wish I was kidding, really... Sheepie
Professional POV from the right hand side: The section of track after the second inversion looks brilliant. Mark9

Benin
LC12 will be better.Proof? This really annoys me to be quite frank... NO-ONE on here can say which of these two will be the better one... Since as (1) No-one's been on Raptor yet, and (2) LC12 hasn't even been BUILT yet!Obviously you have some form of amazing time machine that's allowed you to ride both rides and give us your amazing fact on life... I bow to you sir for manipulating time and space in such a manner... Bravo!
Mark9
Raptor is How sad is it that from those POV's you can see where there is buckets of hang time and doeses of air time; it's simply marvellous.Thorpe's version is going to have to do more then just take me upside down to impress. I love the aircraft wing which creates the headchopper effect at the bottom of the main drop. Does anyone know what the station building is supposed to look like? Benin
You've seen the plans for LC12 but don't know what the station looks like?Raptor seems to have a lot more chopping effects that LC12 does... There's about 5/6 on those POVs compared to... A plane wing and a helicopter?
Sheepie
Speechless times...Picture Trip Report: Raptor OpeningThis ride gets even better with every new picture I see of it. I LOVED the plaque with all the designers and people involved with the project. Brilliant.I'm honestly jealous, amazed and just blown away by the beauty of this coaster and the themed environment Merlin have created for this ride. Excellent. Benin
It's SUCH an old school Tussauds ride at heart with the way it interacts with the path...However...Is it just me, or is that part of the queue on the left under the lift as well? Unless the bit that says ENTRANCE just leads you to that area...
Mark9
Wow, just wow. Absolutely stunning. Even if it rides badly that theming and the 'look' of the ride is amazing. Definitley my most anticipated ride of the year now, and thats saying something.
Fred
Now I wish I could go. Oh wait, I have a passport, and free entry... bloody hell, I've gotta go!
AstroDan
To be honest, seeing this ride just makes me more angry that we have had overhyped claptrap like Saw and Th13teen. But... when the likes of Gardaland and Heide Park are up against genuine top brass competition such as Mirabilandia, Rainbow Magicland, Hansa-Park, Phantasialand, EP etc... then is it any wonder? Looks like a cracking "experience" based coaster. Just what Gardaland needed as to be honest other than Raptor, none of their coasters look that great - I guess Mammut looks it but apprantly rides very badly for a Vekoma MK900-M.;)One thing - it has an Air tunnel! haha! AdamY
Air tunnel actually fits in an industrially themed environment though!
AstroDan
Air tunnel actually fits in an industrially themed environment though! Still, it's an Air tunnel - could have had smoke and industrial gantries over it (think Blue Fire's dark ride?)
AdamY
Some great videos of the general area and atmosphere are starting to filter through on Youtube - I just searched Gardaland Raptor and set the filter to 'most recent'. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fjRL9ZDWCR8

Sheepie
Station of awesomeness. Full update from Raptor's preview day to be found on Theme Park Review. Fantastic photos taken by a very talented member there.Everything about this ride just oozes quality on an epic scale I don't think I've seen on any ride the company have produced. The amount of actual scenic elements to this ride surpasses any Merlin ride and many others across the industry too.The station is basically concrete, which would have been where they may have saved some cash on to theme the outside section so well. The good thing is though, the concrete feel of the station and tunnel fits so fluidly and beautifully with the theme and makes total sense. It's got such an intimidating, industrial tone. I love it. Also notice how they load the trains....
Benin
No words can describe the beauty of this ride...And even with the concrete... It makes sense for it to be as it is just a military base... Just... Amazing...Why can't the UK get theming like this?
Deleted Users
Because Merlin has little threat from other theme parks in the UK at the moment
AdamY
I've gotta say, I'm stunned... I think this might well be the best we've seen since Nemesis.
Benin
It's the pathway interaction that gets it for me...It's so old school Tussauds... Great concept, Great theming, Great interaction...<
AdamY
Also, loading looks cool and very efficient - queue splits and there are air gates both sides of the train, rather than the cumbersome 'everyone climb over the train!' approach of Furius Baco. Mark9
I think I'm actually in love. That station is gorgeous, that loading looks simple, the ride is so photogenic and the interaction looks to topple Nemesis and Colossus.I'm stunned and Gardland have pulled off something magical.
