I seem to have the same problem if I quote something with a smiley in it. Is that the same problem you're having, or can you not use them in the first place?

Sometimes, it's pretty inconsistent. Like when I tried to use :ninja: once it wouldn't let me until I wrote it out. I can still see them though.

(I'm actually having the quoting problem now...)

I've had that happen, and there was an occasion when I tried to post a reply in a thread and was told "Sorry, your post is empty" despite the fact I had just typed a message.

I got the same message when I tried editing a previous post, but this hasn't happened since. Has it happened to anyone else?

Bandwaggoning yay.

I get problems that when I got to Edit a post, edit it, then post the edit post. It comes up with HTML font sometimes. Oblivion nearly lost the Alton Towers Ride Game because I was fiddling around with <br>, </br>, <p>, and </p> (and when you post a smiley you get about six lines of URL?).

Could've meant tragedy.

Also, can we fix the thing that says we can't use [ I m g ] [ / I m g ] tags on this community?

Sidders I have the same as you when quoting a post, but it only seems to happen when I'm on my phone (Android), regardless of whether I'm using the mobile or full version. I've not noticed it on my desktop but maybe I've never quoted a post on it :P I will have a try later. I also get it (again on my phone) when editing my signature.

EDIT: Just tried it on my PC and the quote works fine, although rather than having the usual

[*quote] stuff in it [*/quote] withtout the *

it just had the quote in it's little blue-ish bix without any codes.

Not sure if that is any help or not but just thought I would share it :P

I seem to pretty much not be able to post images at the moment? Particular culprits recently have been ones from Twitter.

Any help?

Hiya, I noticed an image you tryed to link from twitter was somthing like .jpg:large, that would stop it working as it dont recognize the file type, taking the :large from the end should have worked. I&#39;m sure theres somwhere we add which types are aloud, ill look into it

Why does my posts do this when I edit them?

<blockquote class="ipsBlockquote" data-author="Dan9" data-cid="148596" data-time="1358769580"><img alt="DOsA6XQ.png" src="http://I.imgur.com/DOsA6XQ.png" /></blockquote>
<p> </p>
<p>Always nice to see they found a good use for Cameron Diaz...</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Seriously though, I love that image. And the spider thing looks amazing too. Pleeeease make it that design.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>As for the lexicon thing: a lexicon is a bank of words or essentially, a vocabulary. It's not going to be the spider thing. Basically The Smiler will feature it's own jargonised language, possibly as a way of making the processes and experiments performed there part of an inaccessible elite to outsiders who won't understand terms like "Marmalisation" and "Inoculation" in the context of The Smiler.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>And also, it'd be worth noting Tussauds/Merlin were/are a bit crap when it comes to OTSRs in promo images. Stealth Inferno anyone?</p>

When I'm posting on my phone, when I press enter it doesn't move onto the next paragraph. Due to this issue these squiggly lines will represent a paragraph ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Also Dara I hope that issue gets looked at soon!

For some reason, and it's probably because of Apple software, but quoting on an iPad is far easier than on Windows. It goes back to the basic days of using the coding system, whereas on Windows, you delete sections of paragraph you don't want to quote and it goes corrupted.

I have to admit, I do prefer the

system.

As we know, most websites automatically use the mobile version of a site when browsing on a phone (like BBC News). And the same goes for an iPad. However, I've noticed we get the normal desktop view on an iPad, and am pleased to say that not being automatically forced onto a mobile site when viewing this forum on an iPad is an advantage.

Mobiles and tablets all have Apps for the big names to download. Amazon, Facebook, Ebay, to name but a few. These can vary and are good, but sometimes, accessing the desktop site on a mobile phone or tablet is easier, rather than using the app (if you have it installed).

The quoting thing is really annoying now. Not only is it overly difficult to type a reply to a certain bit of text in the first place, I just copied a post I'd written to check another page, went back to it, but when I tried pasting it it just produced an empty quote box and all the text had disappeared.
