Unfortunately another Fire has broken out at Europa Park.

I wonder if Piraten In Batavia has been da again? This time the Fire started in the Austrian Section of Europa Park I believe this section is adjacent to the Scandinavian area where Piraten In Batavia is located.https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=newssearch&cd=&ved=2ahUKEwjku6eO-c__AhVIh1wKHXZKD6IQxfQBKAB6BAgNEAE&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.dailymail.co.uk%2Fnews%2Farticle-12211285%2FHuge-fire-breaks-Germanys-biggest-theme-park-after.html&usg=AOvVaw16FKoKiY98A2PwDoRKLh_x&opi=89978449

The Austrian section is nowhere near the Dutch one; neighbours the Spanish area.

The Flume, AlpenExpress & Diamond Mine are the main victims, belief is that it broke out in one of the technical backstage areas of the Mine. Some of Spanish buildings also bore the brunt. Fortunately the fire was seemingly contained and didn't spread too far. Pics from inside the building below (TW for destroyed Log Flume).

However park reopens today. Tweet from Michael Mack shows some damage.

Troublesome though. Might not be so lucky if it happens again.

Sad to see Europa is once again victim to another major fire. Kudos to everyone involved and lucky to see no one was hurt.

The diamond mine was one of the best hidden gems of the park so is naturally devastating to see this place decimated like this. Not to mention the severe damage to Alpen and the flume.

I have every faith the park will rise from this, as previous times have shown. But as to whether they fully restore (with updated elements) or change things completely, we shall have to sit back and see.

And we have some new POVS of the almost complete (and updated) Alpen Express & Wildwasserbahn.

I can pinpoint the start and the end of where the Diamond Mine used to be in the Alpen video. :(

it still isn’t complete, but what they have done is still astounding, especially when a park on the edge of Greater London still has a similar ride SBNO

I recently went back to Europa for an express trip. Contains spoilers.

The Croatian area looks splendid. So much lavish theming around the courtyard and buildings and nicely integrated into nearby areas.

Voltron looks the part with its photogenic angles and immense queue and station building. I especially like the water effect in the queue and the Teslas in the station are interesting.

Sadly I wasn’t a big fan in the ride, I just found it surprisingly rough and jerky on my first go, the second half is better. Although my second ride was a noticeable improvement, my first impression remains cemented for now. Much prefer the likes of Blue Fire & Euromir.

I went into the Austrian area with open expectations and whilst it (naturally) doesn’t live up to the since destroyed hall, I like what they’ve done to the area. The cool and interesting walkways around the area, amongst the interactions with both rides are lovely. I also like how the finale of the trail is similar to that of the Diamond mine.

I like what they’ve done, which has given new life into the area, especially since rebuilding the original setup probably wouldn’t have been possible.

Rest of the park (albeit brief) was a joy as always, from the near immaculate grounds and ride selection to even random entertainment. Did Snorri Touren for the first time and was a delight.

Just got back from first trip to Europa.

Wow. Where to start.
Stayed in hotel Colleseio which was impressive, and to be honest a strange experience in itself that such a lavish hotel was linked to a theme park.

3 days on park and 1 day Rulantica. &nbsp

The aesthetics of the park are incredible, it’s impossible not to feel the passion and pride that the Mack family have for their park. Everywhere you look it’s packed with hidden gems and is fresh, vibrant and visually stunning. More so, even after 3 days I know there’s so much more to discover, and the rich theming throughout really does elevate this park.

The ride selection is second to none. I went for the coasters, but fell in love with the dark rides! Pirates detail was impressive, but live all the little hidden gems throughout the park. In terms of the biggies. Voltron was my no1 followed by Wodan and Silver Star, but also really enjoyed blue fire, the last inversion really something.

Heard people talking up the ops for years, and was always questioning why people went on about them so much. Well not any more! Absolute perfection and efficiency. So obvious that the park is all about guest experience, the no nonsense approach in the stations is so refreshing to see, and keeps the queues down to sub 20 even on popular rides on a fairly busy day!

Overall can’t wait to get back, going to be hard to find a park to top the all round package that Europa provides, yes there’s parks with better coasters etc, but it’s the combo of the selection of rides, theming, cleanliness, food and beverage offerings and most of all OPERATIONS!

If you havent been. Get out there!!
