September 9, 20159 yr comment_217195 The Cheetah Hunt ones were really really good, best part after the launches. Fun and twisty is a perfect description, Cheetah Hunt doesn't take them at great speed so I guess that's why it rides well and isn't rough or bashy
September 9, 20159 yr comment_217231 Cheetah Hunt's were really underwhelming for me. I don't know if it was the speed or the way the curves had been designed but it felt so pedestrian.
September 17, 20159 yr comment_217776 Few pics: Themed footers <3 Dreaded Intamin trims... A new tunnel being built Still some rumours over a second coaster coming in with this monster, but I'm not 100% sure on this as of yet... Would be insane if we do get another one though...
September 17, 20159 yr comment_217779 Desperate to know what the other tunnel is for. Seems to twisty to be just for a footpath but part of my hopes there isn't another coaster as it might look too crammed in and not enough room for theming. I'm certain Phantasialand can pull it all off though. I'm so excited for the next five years or so! New hotel, waterpark and more! Also looking forward to seeing which part of the park they knock down next! (Please be TotNH building)
September 19, 20159 yr comment_218031 Sorry if I sound like a newbie, but what is TotNH?Temple Of The Night HawkIt's an indoor coaster there which I hear isn't the best (I wouldn't know though as I've not been yet).
September 19, 20159 yr comment_218032 Ah yeah, I remember watching a Theme Park Worldwide vlog, 10 minutes long pitch black coaster? I think I'd fall asleep on that!
September 19, 20159 yr comment_218061 Temple Of The Night Hawk It's an indoor coaster there which I hear isn't the best (I wouldn't know though as I've not been yet). Correct It's very smooth, however it's super drawn out and nothing actually interesting happens! Mr Creek get your bum down to Phantasialand you'd love it!
September 19, 20159 yr comment_218066 Mr Creek get your bum down to Phantasialand you'd love it!It's all on the cards for the near future (unless anything more exciting happens) #MC16.On a serious note, maybe they could replace TOTNH with a dark ride like Ratatouille style ride, which at somewhere like Phantasia could do wonders.
September 19, 20159 yr comment_218069 Agreed. I can't wait to see what they do with this proposed hotel/waterpark too opposite the road! The thought of Phantasialand doing a waterpark gets me way too excited!
September 20, 20159 yr comment_218081 To my knowledge, Phantasialand already have a Ratatouille type ride, something about mice and chocolate? It's quite new, too. Meanwhile, I'm hugging myself inside for actually spelling Ratatouille right.
September 20, 20159 yr comment_218082 Maus au Chocolat's ride system is the same as Toy Story Midway Mania... A trackless dark ride at Phantasialand would be something amazing... But they need to remove Night Hawk and Hollywood Tour first, since that part of the park is bloody awful (not helped by everything else since then being next level stuff)... Wouldn't be surprised if they were next on the chopping block, either that or Geisterschloss or Atlantis... Hell Night Hawk's building could become another completely internal area...
September 20, 20159 yr comment_218088 Agree with all your post, Benin. Not sure if a trackless system is a bit too pricey for the park? I know they're loaded and all, but aren't trackless systems like Ratatouille and Mystic Manor horrendously expensive?
September 20, 20159 yr comment_218089 Oh trackless? Replace Hollywood Tours with a trackless darkride. As for Nighthawk, what is the ride like?
September 20, 20159 yr comment_218092 Agree with all your post, Benin. Not sure if a trackless system is a bit too pricey for the park? I know they're loaded and all, but aren't trackless systems like Ratatouille and Mystic Manor horrendously expensive? I'm not 100% sure how much the system alone costs... Ratatouille's price is boosted by the animation, music and voice-work all done by the same people involved in the film, and I'm not sure on Mystic Manor (though can't imagine Danny Elfman is cheap)... I'm sure if they wanted it, they could get it (or something similar)... Oh trackless? Replace Hollywood Tours with a trackless darkride. As for Nighthawk, what is the ride like? Dull and never-ending...
September 20, 20159 yr comment_218094 I guess a dark ride is a real possibility for the theme park side of Phantasialand in the near future! Now they have Taron, they'll obviously wait a little while for another high thrill ride (like they always have done except for Black Mamba and Talocan a year apart) so a dark ride in the TotNH site would be fab. I still feel like another thrilling flat ride is needed though. They have Mystery Castle, Talocan, Wellenflug and I think that's it? (Minus the carousel)
September 22, 20159 yr comment_218437 Little update! More footers have been themed behind the transfer track building. A Taron sign has been put up but annoyingly I can't quite figure out where! Some of the roofing for the village of Klugheim is almost ready to be placed! Looks fab <3 And the track that passes over the station building is now exposed fully!
September 22, 20159 yr comment_218449 That attention to detail just gets better and better. Judging from the look of the Hollywood & Night Hawk, they do look quite dated, Hollywood looks old, dated and a strange cross between the great movie ride and River Caves at Blackpool (amongst using the same system as POTC) although looks to hold some charm to it, whilst Night a Hawk looks dull (unlike space mountain or Vogel Rock). Whilst both are probably on the chopping block, they'll probably still have some years left, what with the upcoming hotel and water park coming, however chances are both will be gone by the time the next decade arrives.
September 23, 20159 yr comment_218460 Trying to work out where the roofs are being stored, whilst wondering if they'll also be part of the area... Interesting...
September 23, 20159 yr comment_218464 Trying to find more good words to describe this is becoming difficult. Genuinely can't wait to see trains flying around this thing.
September 23, 20159 yr comment_218474 Ok so apparently the application for the expansion has been denied and this was quite a few weeks ago now (I've only just found out however). I think they're going to try another time however it's not looking good!

September 23, 20159 yr comment_218485 What, Taron? No this is for the new hotel + waterpark which was planned and submitted earlier in the year. It was going to be on the large bit of forest opposite the main entrance, however a few of the neighbours were not happy about it (as usual). Sorry I should have made it clear in my first comment
September 23, 20159 yr comment_218506 Oh dear, so it seems this place has similar planning problems to Legoland uk & Chessington by the sounds. Have apparently heard they did similar plans like this before or something, possibly even with a park expansion, but that was dropped because the locals weren't happy about it, so lets hope they can get around it. Hopefully this won't restrict exciting future investments amongst the likes of Chiapas and what we've seen from Taron so far, but this could well become a major factor in the future. I hear their Splash Battle ride often receives noise complaints and like apparently.
September 23, 20159 yr comment_218508 To be fair, the lake where the (not-so) Splash Battle sits is pretty much sitting on several houses...
