  1. To be fair last year rides rarely had a half hour queue so don't see why they would this year. The park empties so much between 6 and 7pm so it should be fine.
  2. Nice work! Was wondering if somone would make a mix of this!
  3. I'm not so sure, enthusiasts of course bring up many valid points because of how many other parks they see etc, but for example will slate things like reserve n ride and arnt willing to actually give it a chance, when actually given time it looks like it's starting to work and people seem to like it.
  4. Thorpe will have a much better idea on the feedback from the trials than we will! More times than not somthing which enthusiasts hate the general public love!
  5. I expect when the park refer to it being abused, this is the kind of stuff they mean. I agree it worked well on Stealth as that queue was designed with it in mind, but even then it works better now that they dont have disabled guests queueing at the exit.

I'm sure if it is as bad as you say they will want to fix it as much as we want them to, if not more!
  7. Have fixed the Vortex audio issue you was having - will look into your other few suggestions today!
  8. We are looking into this! Seems to be related to the launch of the main site.

I do have to agree, I've seen more problems with the baggage hold at the entrance (such as running out of space / huge queues at exit / people not realising to put their bags there!) than I ever have with it at its new (old) location.

I'm glad its moved back, the queues at the exit at times were horrible, I personally think it works much better inside simply thanks to the amount of extra space they have.
  11. Well its been a long time coming! http://thorpeparkmania.co.uk - We have now launched the new site, its taken a lot of work but we are confident its the best TPM to date, we've managed to pack in all new content (check out the archives!), and make our guides more in-depth than ever before. As with all new sites, there are bound to be teething issues, if you spot anything please just drop us a message and we can look into it
  12. Certainly something we can look into and will discuss - thanks for the suggestion
  13. Yeah Stealth currently plays a shorter playlist than it used to - Coaster Jamie's list covers the vast majority of what was on there.
  14. Looks like its back up and running today!
  15. The fact that its optional theres nothing stopping you queuing for Swarm "virtually" and queueing in Stealths physical queue getting on 2 rides in the time you would normally get on one?
  16. Its again optional so if you wish to stand in the queues you can. Personally not quite sure why anyone would want to

    FlowRider

TBH I'm not sure if its a good price or not as I've not been on one before to compare, I wonder if its ran by HB Leisure? I expect they will quickly adjust the pricing (up or down!) depending on the demand.

    Fastrack

I'm not to sure how thorpe will handle it, id assume just using the normal fastrack queues. Thorpe have always stated fastrack don't guarantee instant access, just quicker than the main queue line. As for the car park you are correct there is only standard parking at thorpe. Have a good trip!

    Fast track

Fastrack tickets are timed - there are only certain amounts per time slot so they urge people to stick to their times to ensure your queue times are a minimum. As for what you should do, personally id wait and see what its like on the day, theres no price difference between buying online and on the day so id play it by ear, if you get there and its packed then you can head to either Depth Charge or Inferno Fastrack units and purchasing the package / rides you want. It maybe worth arranging your trip to fall into a "Summer Nights" event, tickets are either £15 or £5 for annual pass holders and all the major coasters are open between 7PM and 10PM, last year queues were at a minimum so it was easy to get multiple rides on all the coasters https://www.thorpepark.com/events-experiences/events/summer-nights/

    Fastrack

At the same time at Portaventura you'll have MUCH more fastrack and those who dont wish to pay for fastrack simply push past everyone. Swings and roundabouts really, I dont think the disabled system at Merlin parks is to unfair, back in 2003/4 disabled guests could simply show their wristband and skip all the queues, now on the major rides they can not ride another ride for the length of the queue (so for example if a disabled guest rides Colossus and it has a 1 hour queue they will not be able to use their band for that hour) Though this only covers the major rides I dont think its a big advantage as it once was.

    Fastrack

I doubt there are a huge amount of banned people, security at the parks will probably have a pretty good idea whos banned, especially ones which have drawn alot of attention like this one.
  22. I think you can scan your phone at the turnstyles not but not 100% sure. Does it say if its your ticket? If you make sure when your there you have some proof of purchase you should be fine. Could always tweet @thorpepark they will know for sure

    Rush

Did notice on Sunday neither swing was even making it to 90 degrees. It's a shame but I guess the priority now is to keep it open for the busy summer period.
