Indeed all rides were open over the weekend with the exception of X. Some rides were abit temperamental as you would expect on a preview weekend but overall nice one

Of course they wont, the idea of this weekend is a rehearsal for the main season so things are ironed out for main opening on Thursday

Yes they are, although sounds like they may need abit of a clean out!

The chart music (being played at entrance / dome and lost city) is now called "The Noise" and is all professionally mixed together with Thorpe adverts in there etc sounds quite good, although I do wish it wasnt in Lost City.

Maybe we should wait till its finished till we start calling it the worse hotel ever etc, or is judging the finished product to much of a crazy idea nowadays?

Glad its working, although it now takes an age to get to the top, the musics almost at an end before it actually starts spinning!

Seems stealth was having a few issues today, but big thumbs up to them for opening it for the last hour In blizzard like weather for the few guests who were still there. Very cold though!!

It's worth remembering right now it is still running half of the capacity which it will, along with its the staffs first weekend on running it backwards. I've high hopes it will iron out and run well, and back left outside seat = amazing

All the buildings were stripped and repainted, look much better now. Colossus looks alot better too, the station looks the best it has for years and alot of the supports look cleaner. Inferno is great, the tunnel is like the old days with bright red lights and thick mist throughout the tunnel. Obviously loggers tunnel is disappointing but the rest of the park by far made up for it, the best it's looked in years.

It's one ride, I agree it's not great, but to judge the entire park on this is crazy with the amount of good what's been done across the rest of the park makes it not so bad for me. Budgets are not unlimited, the money they have had has been spent well, much better than spending it all on a new tunnel IMO.

Maybe they've not taken it all down so it's easier to rebuild in the future..?

Its not just a thorpe thing, Merlin seem to like it and rides will remain there till their either sold or they replace them. Things like Pirates 4d/ Fungle I dont mind so much as its easier to hide but yeah I do agree sometimes it does look abit bad (such as fungle before they did put a fence up!)

Hmm depends how you look at is :S The year Fungle shut (2009) we got a huge investment in Saw The Ride, the year TV, CCR and to some degree Saw Alive shut we got The Swarm. You say you wouldnt mind if next year the park gets done up (it does every year, maybe we should wait and see whats happend this year?) and replace these attractions, I cant see them getting 3/4 attractions in a year to replace the ones which are closed. What does bother me is how things like Fungle were just left (which was slightly improved by building a fence infront of it!) I'm not too sure where they can go with Saw Alive, its a good thing to have at Fright Nights so theres not much they can do to hide it over the season, its a shame its not nearer saw as it would make an awesome walk through addon to the queue line!

Whilst I agree with people, the map isnt fantastic at helping people find their way round, the majority of the GP must like it as weve had this style for a while, and if it was something what generated complaints I'm sure it would be looked at!

Glad KFC / Burger king and are still there. Nice to not be forced into eating at park branded outlets.

So, X:\ No Way Out is now X according to the new map!

I think it will be quite near, I expect that corner is cut out for a reason!

Errr.... Why would they go through the effort of getting in TV crews, people to ride the ride and what not to try pull the wool over the eyes of very few people who actually care about X? :\ An advert will go out once the park has opened just before easter I would assume.

Well in the picture theres one train (all facing forwards) going around with dummys, so its safe to assume that train has had its closed season work complete. There must be a reason why it wasnt turned forward during this work before starting work on the other, a reason I doubt we will ever know but there will no doubt be reasons behind it as if anything it gives the thorpe engineers more to do!

The way I see it is they have 10 days till opening to get it ready on 2 trains, 12 days for most importantly open weekend. I'm sure it will be fine! (I hope!)

Still over a week til open day, almost 2 weeks till open weekend (when it will really be needed) No need to worry yet!

Or maybe they just havent done this one yet.. Would explain the limited tickets available on AP day.

It looks like the back rows in the train going around at the moment are still facing forwards to me
