  1. Meanwhile single rider queues at Alton Towers means less people feel the need to dish out on Fastrack, when single rider queues can be just as quick! Why did Chessington get rid of the Single Rider queue on Fury? I remember using it a lot.

What do people think on Alton Towers' Powered rollercoaster in Katanga Canyon, Runaway Mine Train! I've noticed that this ride has been getting increasingly popular recently, on my last 2 visits the queue has been out the entrance! It's definitely a winner against other Powered UK coasters, Runaway Train, Flying Fish and Buffalo Coaster are all pretty pathetic in comparison, and this ride is great for young children and thrillseekers alike! Also, I adore the theming! 8.5/10
  3. There's still no doubt over which one is better value. And it costs £35, not £30.
  4. So now Ultimate Fastrack is cheaper at Alton Towers than it is at Chessington?
  5. Master Blaster is awesome, it's a bit rough though, and sometimes I wonder how on earth it passed a H&S test!

No, Cred St. Carousel was a Double Decker carousel removed from the park in either 2004 or 2005, I think. However I'm unsure as to where it is now.

To be fair Alton Towers charge £70 for their version of 'Ultimate Fastrack'.

I do care about CCR, if only so I can take photos of SAW.

On a brighter note, Canada Creek Railway has re-opened. Stealth had better be open when I go in 2 weeks time though.
  14. I like the Chessington website, very family friendly. I do think that a 'Rides currently unavailable' box should be added when a ride is shut, and then they can just delete it when all the rides are open.

Duel has now re-opened, however a section of the X-Sector path was destroyed and work is being carried out on it.
  16. Chessington wouldn't be complete without the Zoo in all honesty. I personally think that Chessington is the best theme park zoo in the country, ahead of Drayton Manor and Flamingo Land zoos. I think it's excellent, and the SEA-LIFE aquarium is a must visit!

In all honesty, I think Blade has been a lot better this year. This is probably because the park replaced the tyre at the end of the 2008 season, so this year it has been swinging higher. It still doesn't even compete with Black Buccaneer though.

A 10 year old ride is not old. Full stop.

1 Ride on Logger's!Would you ratherQueue 60 minutes for SAW or Queue 30 minutes for X:/ No Way Out?

I'm sorry but Logger's Leap and Rumba Rapids can't be described as 'old'. Alton Towers maintained Corkscrew, which was 30, and they also manage to keep The Flume, which I believe is older than Logger's Leap to be open 99% of the year. THORPE PARK just can't maintain their rides, next you'll be telling me Colossus is unreliable because it's 'old'.
  23. Air

D4n replied to Dan9's topic in Alton Towers
I think the long queues may be due to the large number of people who buy fastrack for the ride, and the all too often, break-downs.

I love Air, but along with Spinball Whizzer it attracts some of the longest queues in the park, on my last trip I queued 80 minutes for the ride. I'm starting to wonder how low the capacity would actually be without the (amazing) dual loading stations...
  25. I must admit that I've never actually played Extraordinary Golf, I think it should be free to Annual Pass holders as an added benefit. I'll certainly play it in the near future though as it looks really good! By the looks of things the Rita, Duel, Nemesis and Oblivion holes are all amazing!
