  1. This ride is so painfully slow to queue up for. Half hour almost for three cycles as they were trying to find adults to sit on the edge. Such bizarre policies these days. Miss they days of quickly on, quickly check and off you go all in about 90 seconds. A shame as it is one of the better pirate ships out there.
  2. Didn't stop Cedar Point who already had Maverick. But yes I agree, extremely unlikely.
  3. You clearly haven't had a spin on the Carousel at Chessington! That might be possible to fall out!
  4. I think the main reason is preparing the area for this years new Halloween attraction Platform 15.
  5. It's all true. Here is the official press release on the Chessington website. https://www.chessington.com/press-item/38/bye-bye-bubbleworks-catch-the-last-bubble-before-it-bursts
  6. With all this talk of Bubbleworks closing down, at least they have given warning. Pleasurewood Hills have just posted this on their Facebook page: "Sadly the Rattlesnake will not re-open for the remainder of the 2016 season. Keep checking our Facebook and Twitter page for further updates and future developments." Wonder why?
  7. Sign away Bubbleworks lovers!!!! I would only want to keep Bubbleworks if they reverted to an exact replica of when it first opened, never gonna happen though. https://www.change.org/p/merlin-entertainments-keep-bubbleworks-open-a9f9fa4c-443b-40b8-bc33-70bc82d699f6?recruiter=577280066&utm_source=share_petition&utm_medium=facebook&utm_campaign=share_page&utm_term=mob-xs-share_petition-no_msg&recuruit_context=fb_share_mention_control&fb_ref=Default
  8. I reckon it will remain. Not going to be much time to change the ride system with whatever is taking over by March. I reckon it will simply be a new theme much like when Charlie took over Toyland Tours.
  9. 150 minute queue earlier on today, guessing it's running 2 boats as I haven't seen the third (green) boat all season. Anyone know what happened to it (if it's still not there)?
  10. So will the good weather probably!!!!
  11. They have also said via social media tomorrow is pre book only! Please be aware: we are expecting high volumes on park tomorrow due to summer deciding to show up for once! Entry to park tomorrow July 19th will be strictly PRE-BOOK ONLY! Please do not travel if you have not pre-booked.
  12. So this morning two staff on monkey swinger. Took about 10 mins for three cycles. Joined the same queue just now and one staff member and 8 mins between ride cycles due to slow attendant who goes to exit. Slowly walks to priority passes, faff about then waits for them to be seated before coming to general queue. Then waits so for people to be seated. Goes into cabin and takes a seat ready to do a 35 second announcement. Finally checks every single strap by shaking them. Shocking compared to earlier
  13. Well whatever you have been doing recently on park, you have done some very positive things Guess we shouldn't ask for two much, but a return of the original 10 minute entrance theme at the entire entrance area would be a treat too.
  14. By watch this space do you mean a return to the end of day music? If so that will be great
  15. How long have the park been playing the pop music park wide at park close? A video is shown on the facebook page of Colossus station playing pop music after 6 and comments of it being park wide at ride close. Never noticed it on my visits this year.

There are 4 trains on x as it is currently, but think only 3 have ever been used since trains have passed through brake runs. All season trains 1 and 4 have been in use on my visits. I know staff are not always 100% reliable but one host said he wasn't totally sure but thinks it will always only use two from now because of the 2 people per row rule. He said if they can't find a single person and it uses 3 trains one could be sitting in the brakes for too long as sometimes it takes several mins or longer to fill up if a single person cannot be found. But really who knows. Does anyone even know if train 2 and 3 are on site?
  17. Aftermath footage filmed at the site.
  18. Wasn't the ride originally a travelling fairground rollercoaster? So supports are free standing rather than in ground. Guess it's possible to have collapsed If not checked for some time. We shall find out in due course I'm sure.
  19. Very disturbing. Looks as If the whole train just fell off entirely.
  20. It is exactly the same as the park use but lately hasn't been accurate from the parks point of view. Yesterday is a perfect examples. X advertised as 60 mins yet it was 10, Rumba advertised as 30 mins, it was 10, Rush advertised as 25 and it was walk on, Saw and Colossus 25 mins, both were 10... You get the general idea
  21. The announcement is crystal clear now which is great, but actually that operator saying "All checks complete, ready for dispatch" was a tad annoying, and not really needed when you have an announcement and all staff simultaneously pressing a button anyway. None of the other coasters did that today. Did irritate me how the gates were not being opened until the ride area was empty of offloaders. Same happened on Swarm resulting in stacking for some time on both. Luckily the queues were very short today.
  22. So from 11:30 we should all keep refreshing the page!
  23. Great news! I have always thought it would be a better system using it's old method of tokens and wristbands.
