Went to Winter Wonderland last night and it was extremely busy. Took 30 minutes to get in and it was virtually shoulder to shoulder everywhere. Managed to get on just Air and Wilde Maus XXL. I queued about 40 minutes for Wilde Maus! or rides in and saw prices for about 5 rides. Only managed to see prices for the following Wild Maus xxl £6 (thought it would be more) Air £6 Ice mountain £6 Starflyer £7

What I find strange is that a couple of years ago it remained open all night during Fright nights. Why the change?

Europa Park Winter Trip Planning
Mattgwise replied to pluk's topic in Your Planned Trips and Reports
The 2013 winter map can be seen at the following link and shows the attractions that were available last year. http://www.towersstreet.com/talk/threads/europa-park-2013-general-discussion.744/page-9 -
And rumours of Canada Creek Railway returning for the third time running...
-
A new animal type!
-
Could it be something "Arthur" style, like at Europa Park. People mention "dark ride" and that SouthParks article mentions "rollercoaster". Could be one of these: http://www.mack-rides.com/front_content.php?idart=146&idcat=140〈=2

Wish I had gone today instead of yesterday! Ride Queue times very short around the 5 to 10 mins mark for at least the last 3 hours, even the coasters.
-
fit the part for the 19th Oct? Or 19th time? Haha
-
It was brilliant in the dark tonight. Makes such a difference when the mist is working which it was tonight. The smoke machine coming from Blair Witch Project also added a great effect too.
-
Yep closed all day today. No cherry picker or mechanics on site so would say it is now waiting for a part, which I would say would mean it's unlikely to reopen before the seasons out. Hopefully I'm wrong!
-
Probably just due to this... http://www.yourlocalguardian.co.uk/news/11516986.Power_surge_knocks_out_nine_rides_at_Chessington_World_of_Adventures/

It hasn't gone anywhere. I have just looked at it. http://www.chessington.com/plan/today-at-chessington.aspx
-
We will end up with it taken down in a few years like the Loggers tunnel.
-
And not forgetting its unique smell!
-
There are rides missing though. Both Rocky Express and Quantum aren't on there in their picture form. Just says the names above paths.
-
No problem. I am the same not needing the map after having been to the park many a time since the early 90s. I always have a look at the start of the year to see the changes and admittedly Slammer pokes out quite small on this years map.
-
I didn't like the music used across most of the park last year. Was too generic and all rides had the same annoying announcements "prepare to deliver an Oscar winning performance, lights, camera, action!" and "you've survived this appearance on set" So annoying and too much focus on "film" rather than "horror" in my opinion! Much preferred the midnight syndicate music where every ride had a different track.

Last summer was dreadful. I remember reading complaint after complaint with regards to long queues, slow operations and wasps. Certainly has improved this year.
