Yep closed all day today. No cherry picker or mechanics on site so would say it is now waiting for a part, which I would say would mean it's unlikely to reopen before the seasons out. Hopefully I'm wrong!

There are rides missing though. Both Rocky Express and Quantum aren't on there in their picture form. Just says the names above paths.

No problem. I am the same not needing the map after having been to the park many a time since the early 90s. I always have a look at the start of the year to see the changes and admittedly Slammer pokes out quite small on this years map.

I didn't like the music used across most of the park last year. Was too generic and all rides had the same annoying announcements "prepare to deliver an Oscar winning performance, lights, camera, action!" and "you've survived this appearance on set" So annoying and too much focus on "film" rather than "horror" in my opinion! Much preferred the midnight syndicate music where every ride had a different track.

Last summer was dreadful. I remember reading complaint after complaint with regards to long queues, slow operations and wasps. Certainly has improved this year.

A new rollercoaster simulation game is coming to Xbox. I have to say it looks pretty awful looking at the trailer. What do people think?

Just a thought. Could it be that the building that housed Asylum is set to be developed. After all people are commenting to say about markings on the trees of the Fungle Safari site. This building is adjacent to the back section of Fungle Safari so could be a possibility.

I don't think the music has been playing the last two or three weeks. It wasn't playing on July 8th when I went on a school trip and since then two of my friends have been on separate occasions saying it was silent at the entrance. Lasted long didn't it! But to be fair the track that played with the video would get highly irritating as it mostly consists of Quantum/thorpe theme which is a part I personally don't like, rather than the full much more pleasant sounding 10 minute entrance track.

It is probably that the 0 is stuck, therefore suggesting the wait time actually represents 30, 35, 45 and 75 minutes in the images shown in previous posts.

Went today with the school I work in. Was relatively quiet for a school day which was nice as we were expecting it to be busy. Some things about today: All rides except Stealth open. Saw that Storm Surge and Saw closed a couple of times for short periods of time Tidal Wave splash almost reaching the rocks on the grass area opposite which was rare. Guess the wind direction was in favour of the splash. No entrance Music. Silent at admissions.

They were batching people today whilst the ride was in operation. Once we got on it the ride was closed as it was noticed a metal fence panel had half come off. on the second to back row on the left side when looking from where the queue splits.

Still looks like not much has happened considering it has been shut since September.

Shock! Alton Towers have announced on their facebook page that they have extended their hours to 6:30pm this weekend. AT rarely do this!
