  1. Could Thorpe Park have been reading this thread and signed up to coca cola freestyle as the facebook page says:"Exciting news coming soon from THORPE PARK and Coca-Cola... Check back here on Monday as all will be revealed!"

    Logger's Leap

It doesn't matter about flooding and snow. The water is pumped through from the water already there not actually affecting the water level at all.
  3. Worrying about this small paint job is the last thing on my mind.
  4. Nice find. Must say I still haven't seen it but guess its slowly being rolled out across the UK
  5. Ermm... isn't it the same as the entrance and upper dome???
  6. Not according to Burger King website or my area. I live near Wimbledon and the four branches nearest to me don't have them? But yep have to agree Coke Orange is awesome. Plus it has yummy coke vanilla which left the UK around 5 years ago now (bottle version) http://www.burgerking.co.uk/menu?producttypeid=47
  7. Looks like Chessington is setting themselves up to have a very negative year plagued with problems and lots of unhappy guests! Cancelling Annual Pass weekend at short notice Unhappy customers due to reaching capacity in half term (although I stuck up for them as I didn't believe it was their fault) Zufari delayed a week has upset a lot of people - especially when they delay it and then two weeks prior to it's delayed opening have a VIP preview Now these closed rides. Hmmm have I missed anything.
  8. Thorpe make far too much money from Fastrack so as much as I would also love for them to abolish it, I can't ever see that happening. But It was nice at Europa Park without fastrack. The queues moved sooo much quicker. But then again on most of the rides there they didn't bother to check the restraints so trains on some rides were sent out in a very short space of time. For example their Mine train ride Alpenexpress was dispatched in 25 seconds. That time included the people getting off the previous ride and the people getting in ready for the next.
  9. I am pretty sure that what you have posted is still in use. I heard it several times passing Tidal Wave last year.
  10. Well said! Was thinking exactly this when I read the post about keeping in line with the head back rule! Will definitely keep my head forwards.
  11. Cant beat coca cola freestyle machines. Wish they introduced it to the parks. The currently have them on trial in several burger king branches in london. Over 125 varieties in a single machine. http://www.coca-cola.co.uk/freestyle
  12. WWTP is still there as far as I know at Tidal Wave and Stealth. Its only the areas that play chart music (beach/dome/entrance) that have adopted the new radio station called "The Noise".

Yes the Capital letters THORPE PARK logo was on the Rumba boats last year.
  14. And the imperial leather contract run out a couple of years ago but apart from slight music changes did the ride change? No, there are still imperial leather logos around the ride in places.
  15. Though I havent heard it myself, Have heard it is back to the non piano one that was used between 2007 and 2011. Shame as I really think the piano theme that was brought back last year gives it a much better atmosphere.
  16. Actually what Alex said makes sense as when we were waiting for the name people thought it was going to be a gears of War ride as the font for The Swarm (or WAR as it was known as before officially named) is exactly the same as the Gears of War font.
  17. Good news. Saw was silent (queueline) on all my visits last year and about time that lost city was sorted out. Has Colossus' high pitch been sorted as that was still high pitched on AP day apparently?

That will mean the end of one of the last remaining old school Thorpe Park logos!
  19. At least Flying Jumbos are better suited now they have sneakily put them into the "Zufari" land on the map rather than Forbidden Kingdom!
  20. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that Samurai is programmed to have each pod start and end in the same position. I guess it refuses to lower if it is even a couple of mm out of place thus causing the common problem with finding its zero position. Other top scans I have been on lower you in any random place and lowers virtually instantly once the ride arm comes to a stop. In case you don't get what I mean, for example you could start by going to the pod at the back of the ride and then when the cycle finishes you are suddenly at the front of the ride.
  21. The reason it always seems so full and the extension built was because the queue line was split in two to accomodate fast track. Up until about 4/5 years ago the queue was twice the width and could fit more people in. As Ricky says a full queue moves quickly. Probably 20 minutes tops.
  22. Seems silly as the only neighbours to Vampire are the workers/customers of Beefeater of which you can't hear it inside there anyway and The premier Inn which it could affect although doubtful as the ride only operates daytimes and most of the hotel will be empty at that time. CoasterDude where did you hear this idea from anyway?
  23. Are you sure, As the post from Thorpe Park in the questions topic suggests otherwise. http://forum.maniahub.com/topic/9800-lost-city-soundtrack/#entry141916 I wouldn't mind betting we start to see this played in even more places around the park seeing as it seems they are turning it into more of a radio station with the announcements/voiceovers. Shame if that is the case as Thorpe have always been one of the best in the UK when it came to themed Park music.
