  1. I think his will simply be a wait and see game. It might, it might not.

Europa is simply awesome in every other way that you won't even think of the flat rides.

One drop. Those log flume aren't synchronised to drop at same time, that was a coincidence. It was the blocking system stopping the boats from getting too close to the one in front. It's standard and happens a lot on Fabbri / Reverchon models like the one at IX. Often happens on Brighton Pier's Flume which is the same type. Other manufacturers of log flumes will do this too if boats get to close, but this rarely happens. In Merlin theme parks I have only seen it stop boats on The flume as they often get too close

Yes it still jerks. Instead sending you slightly backwards instead of forwards as it did before. So there is still a backwards element after all!

Well to be honest actually expect this to happen on a regular basis. Each cabin has a smoke detector which is connected to main fire alarm system and even a can of deodrant will trigger it and what with the ceiling being so low this is likely to happen very often. In the picture here you can see a smoke detector and how low they are http://content.maniahub.com/photo/Thorpe/Crash%20Pad%20Opening/DSC01178.JPG
  7. What is it playing.. This... Or bubbleworks exterior music (station 06 - 11)? Or something else?
  8. The pushing down of the restraint is the reason I get major cramp in my leg half way through the ride most of the time. Makes my ride agony!
  9. Haha was hoping it would take a few more people until someone realised it was april fools. It would certainly be an appropriate sponsor though thats for sure.
  10. The Smiler has a sponsor. Colgate!!! Well certainly fits in with the "Smile" theme. http://old.towerstimes.co.uk/news/news.php?subaction=showfull&id=1364777224&archive=&start_from=&ucat=1,11&
  11. The water in the cup game happened on a visit in the summer on Vortex also many seasons ago. The water didn't last long!

Circus Clown Reminds me of my first "coaster", Toytown Coaster at Chessington. Just missing the giant drum!

Simple process to be honest (but of course involves a bit of money), replace smoke detectors with heat detectors.
  14. I'm sure the park also had around 3 or 4 days closed last year due to weather or power problems. So second year in a row with a bad start.

  16. Could Thorpe Park have been reading this thread and signed up to coca cola freestyle as the facebook page says:"Exciting news coming soon from THORPE PARK and Coca-Cola... Check back here on Monday as all will be revealed!"

It doesn't matter about flooding and snow. The water is pumped through from the water already there not actually affecting the water level at all.
  18. Worrying about this small paint job is the last thing on my mind.
  19. Nice find. Must say I still haven't seen it but guess its slowly being rolled out across the UK
  20. Ermm... isn't it the same as the entrance and upper dome???
  21. Not according to Burger King website or my area. I live near Wimbledon and the four branches nearest to me don't have them? But yep have to agree Coke Orange is awesome. Plus it has yummy coke vanilla which left the UK around 5 years ago now (bottle version) http://www.burgerking.co.uk/menu?producttypeid=47
  22. Looks like Chessington is setting themselves up to have a very negative year plagued with problems and lots of unhappy guests! Cancelling Annual Pass weekend at short notice Unhappy customers due to reaching capacity in half term (although I stuck up for them as I didn't believe it was their fault) Zufari delayed a week has upset a lot of people - especially when they delay it and then two weeks prior to it's delayed opening have a VIP preview Now these closed rides. Hmmm have I missed anything.
  23. Thorpe make far too much money from Fastrack so as much as I would also love for them to abolish it, I can't ever see that happening. But It was nice at Europa Park without fastrack. The queues moved sooo much quicker. But then again on most of the rides there they didn't bother to check the restraints so trains on some rides were sent out in a very short space of time. For example their Mine train ride Alpenexpress was dispatched in 25 seconds. That time included the people getting off the previous ride and the people getting in ready for the next.
  24. I am pretty sure that what you have posted is still in use. I heard it several times passing Tidal Wave last year.
  25. Well said! Was thinking exactly this when I read the post about keeping in line with the head back rule! Will definitely keep my head forwards.
