I can see the slammer / canada creek (old town) area being used and totally redeveloped for the next coaster development

Think of the PR fallout and further damage to there reputation if they had fallen. Thorpe Park have long known the issues with the fence at monks walk with a number of regular fence junpers but havent fixed the fence to stop them. All the guests the next day would have had there days ruined as I doubt the park would either open or have areas closed as a result

Nemesis also has 32 seats vs infernos 28 so it easily processes an extra 80-100 people per hour

Coasters are sometimes dispatched at night for 1 run to switch trains over on nemesis and Colossus, so that could have proved fatal if they wernt spotted

Most likely there was a breakdown that needed to be repaird be it a sensor or something mechanical

If you dont have the history of incidents on Zodiac you cant comment on the reasons why this may have happen, for one not all incidents are public

Wasnt this meant to be open for the easter holidays ??

Coaster capacity on quiet days could be todo with staffing levels, as more staff are needed to run extra train on most costers , either so that in the event of a breakdown there is a member of staff with each train and to man entrance ect or because the ride setup needs more staff eg stealth Extra staff used to start later in day for break cover ect. it doesn't excuse poor operations or capacity but merlin ultimately give thorpe staff hour budgets to work to.

If you think the minimum staff required for each ride is at least 2-3 on flat rides and coasters require a minimum of 3-5 staff depending on the coaster however u then need to take into account break cover and additional roles on coasters for 2 train operation as the minimum number of staff increases on all coasters (unsure on saw Colossus can run with 2 platform staff on 2 trains) Then you have fast track queue line staff which is part of the rides teams. Its possible that staff from other departments where trained on some attractions eg bag rooms to enable more rides to operate with trained staff if they were understaffed

Chances are the launch issue is why its only on one train

Thorpe used to have 2 cafe neros, one near inferno and one in the dome

Remember rameses often e-stops if there is a larger guest on the ride if the restraints move slightly which is a fail safe system , although an annoying one

It could well be weight testing wasnt completed it could easily be due to a full train vs a few water dummies

Sad news indeed, thoughts also with the family, I wonder if this involved the actual ride lift mechanics or a stand alone inspection platform/hoist

Can I just add how long for the past 2 years did Colossus spend on 1 train operations.......

Having ridden silver star around 20 times in 2016 in various different positions and seating configurations... its a ride that can vary so differently. Sometimes its ejector seat madness thats amazing and others it just doesnt hit the spot ..... Its a marmite coaster because it doesnt deliver a constant or comparative experience from one day to the next regardless if your sitting in the same seat .....

I went twice in 2016, though due to current circumstances doubt ill be heading abroad this year :-(
