Yep, I am keen on the Thorpe Rail branding - I'd actually consider buying a coffee cup with it on, quite cool and a proper EAstEr eGg that I can get behind - an "if you know, you know" sorta thing. That said, if the whole thing is absolute turd, I won't buy a thing xoxo

Fingers crossed for it being open for my visit obvs. We're going first day of Mardi Gras (Thurs 18th) - park is closed the day before so maybe that would be an ideal time to have a press event for SLKSTN & Co. ....or, the press event will be the day we are there, like with Black Mirror, and we miss the eXPerIENcE by 1 day 😏 ALSO - spotted that Mardi Gras is not showing on the website for 20th & 21st May but I assume that's a mistake, as elsewhere on the website it says "Mardi Gras is back at THORPE PARK Resort! Taking over the theme park every day from 18th May – 11th June – and it’s included with every park ticket." - as suggested by @JoshC. - that could POTENTIALLY be a GST TRN launch weekend now, but that would be quite odd to set Mardi Gras up for 2 days, for it to then sit there unused for 2 days straight away. But... Merlin.... so.....

We're probably going to go Thursday 18th for the first trip of the year - probably end up being the day before it opens, like when we were at Thorpe and Black Mirror had it's press launch, so saw Shane Sandwich, SLKSTN et al eXPeRIEnCinG it, but us plebs had to wait. Turned out it wasn't really worth waiting for anyway but still.

Think I'm just gonna get a visit in for May now and save holding off for GST TRN. My first ride will be Fright Nights 😄

This Smiler takeover at Towers looks fantastic... Particular points to note are the Argos karaoke machine, aeroplane seats (out of shot) with barbed wire on them (completely fits in), bits of old CBeebies tat (Fido dog house). When does it stop becoming an "easter egg" or "a NoD tO sOMEthIng" and not just never buying anything new and just repurposing/throwing in anything they find in the props cupboard? I say right now, personally. And I'm a Smiler fan.... but that stage in front of the Wickerboi just gives me the ick. Shane Sandwich is gonna be rippin' this a new one tonight.

Other than that point, I do feel the silence is deafening at the moment regarding it... they haven't even moved the old ride info sign away from behind the "Coming soon" fence.

I feel a point worth noting is that Jack SLKSTN in his latest video makes a point of looking up on his phone when spring ends when talking about the GST TRN - with that in mind, I'm sticking with my June prediction - end of May bank holiday weekend at a push.

Can I just say, on record, if all this wittering actually means something legitimate with regards to Exodus in the end, then I salute you. If it doesn't, may your Freestyle cup forever need to be taken to Guest Services to reactivate.

Hilarious scenes reported at Towers today of RAP queues being longer than the main queue on the Smiler for example. I give up.

Just seen on the Twitters that TCAAM has had it's queue time board fitted, praise the lord.

It's all part of an evil masterplan to bring back the "TLC" campaigns I reckon so they can just rebrand winter maintenance as something special again. Don't recall Paultons ever posting saying they've cut their hedges or painted something.

Yikes. One would hope that Vampire is getting it's second train added and not a problem with it's current single train... Have to say - really not the best of starts to the season for CWoA - and Towers - it seems. Thorpe seems to be faring far better.

This is exactly what I was getting at 😁 I don't genuinely think the facility should have a queue, was more a dig at thirsty "me first" and "I want what they've got" nature of the thirsty MAPpers, who will get triggered by not being able to receive a free circular piece of plastic, so one can only begin to imagine the anger at not being able to use "the free spa".
