Tulley's Shocktober Fest Scream Park
I did - paid for the ticket though (RIP Pass bought in February 2019) - have to say, that's a complete no brainer, never queued all night, multiple runs through mazes, a drink, £10 of food and a t-shirt all for £87! Maze count: Coven of 13: 5 Hellements: 1 Creepy Cottage: 4 Twisted Clowns: 2 Wastelands: 2 Chop Shop: 2 The Island: 1 The Cellar: 3 Haunted Hayride: 1 In Merlin terms, that's £210 worth of mazes Coven Of 13 was evidently a highlight, and Cottage always is too - mainly we feel the actors there have to work even harder than the others.

Tulley's Shocktober Fest Scream Park
True.... we went to Bath festival on Saturday though and they did scan everyone! Victorious have made it clear they will do the same, but appreciate those who want to beat the system can do.

Tulley's Shocktober Fest Scream Park
Though it hasn't been mentioned at all thus far, do you reckon Tulleys will only allow access with Covid accreditation via the NHS app? Too early to speculate?

SHOTS FIRED 😁 New Thorpe Maze confirmed as being called Fulleys Tarm.

Fright Nights 2021 - 20th Anniversary
So this Friday, 13th August Tulleys reveal their replacement for The Wreckoning - would probably explain why Thorpe are starting to drop hints... I think the word "volts" makes it explicitly clear to me that Big Top is returning. Case closed.

I was just saying to Josh you do have to genuinely wonder if they have got a package deal going because it does seem incredibly odd to go for this choice when there are no doubt cheaper options available!

The Swarm
Yes was saying to Josh - I'm a huge pop and specifically Carly Rae (Bae) Jepsen fan but this just feels tacky to me. Like I pointed out on twitter, surely a better way of making the area more "immersive" would be to fix the TVs showing rolling news and audio in the queue line? How long has it been since they worked?! Far more integral to the "immersion" than audio from a phone box it you ask me.

2021 Season
Go on the Merlin Annual Passholders Facebook group... a RAP pass seems a rite of passage. You have to wonder how many children "don't want to queue" rather than actually "can't queue". People then complain that the RAP queue was "as big as the main queue" - proof in my mind of an abused and broken system. What about make a RAP VIP queue, the MAP'pers would be all over that...

Black Mirror Labyrinth
I have no idea who she is, nor do I want to. From the clips provided I am prepared to be a bit underwhelmed.

Derren Brown's Ghost Train: Rise of the Demon
Double posting again like the rapscallion I am. Less than a week now until the attraction that is the future of themeparks reopens... do we think it will still have VR? Personally I can't say I'd be too enamored with the idea of putting a headset on right now, it just seems an unnecessary risk? If they have to clean EVERY headset after EVERY ride that's going to make the queue even longer & slower than it normally is too... I think if they DO have VR still, they are going to have to make that clear from the offset/with signs outside, because if you haven't ridden before and experienced the future of themeparks, you might be a bit non plussed after queuing for it and then deciding you don't want to do it because of a potential increased risk of Covid. I'm someone who has been out and about as soon as permitted during these Covid times, gone to bars, restaurants, theme parks etc. etc. but all that said, I think a headset (even if it is just over your eyes) just seems a step too far as soon as 17th May comes - and I don't think I'd be the only one to think that? I can't really see the "experience" working without VR either - would love to know what the future holds for DBGTROTD if this is it's last year of the IP agreement, as rumoured. There's no way on earth that thing has been worth the money. I would say that maybe only Sub Terra ranks similarly in terms of Merlin "white elephants" - but the difference is there, it probably cost a fifteenth of the budget that DBGTROTD did and has done.

Black Mirror Labyrinth
Anyone else think it's a little odd that Thorpe have posted nothing about Black Mirror on their socialz? Or have they forgotten about it? What's everyone's wild speculation about what it's going to be like? My gut is it that will have a mildly clever thing in there, that's slightly impressive first time around but that's about it I am also more than a little concerned about the throughputs... but we shall see!
