Genuinely wouldn't surprise me if they put something in the end of season/here's to 2023 video to be honest, where the people who created the promo can then speculate about what it means even though they know already.

I don't have room for this negativity in my life.

Oooh, updates to Hayride would be good. I mean it's iconic anyway but still!

Just looked back on a photo from the night with pricing in the background and Bounceback VIP was £90, vs £102 each booking in the sale - think I'll just do that on the night next year for the 2024 season!

Thought I'd add some photos from my visit this year, whilst I'm here. What an iconic place Tulleys is. Proper fanboi.

I did think that - it's just the idea of forking out £200 whilst I'm there that stops me I think!

There's no mention of any new haunts for 2023 in the email that was sent out, but then, considering they've just installed Doom Town, I can't say I'm surprised!

Don't recall seeing this before on the website....

"Please note - Shocktober Fest is a 16+ event. Please do not book tickets for anyone under the age of 16 as they will not be permitted entry on site."

Wonder how strict they will be enforcing that?! Looking into the FAQs, it says to bring ID if you look under 21, with a photocopy of a passport etc.!

    Prices confirmed for next year....

I'll still be getting a RIP Bundle because I do still think that represents value for money for us, with the food, drink and merch tokens - the main issue here is, I despise 98% of the general public who have a habit of ruining a run-through 🙃

I think Thorpe should be looking to spend the few hundred thousand pounds it'll cost to rebrand on more pressing issues to be honest...

I concur with comments above re: Swarm station. Who would have thought that having a station made mostly of wood, exposed to the elements, would start to rot....? SO much graffiti in the queue lines on Sunday, but appreciate it's end of season. The handrail on the far side of the station was completely hanging off the wall too. Suffice to say, the steel beams in the station that were once cladded and themed, are still bare, despite noises about them being returned to their previous theming.

Rush has a section of queue line fencing removed and replaced with temporary barriers - and spotted near the ops booth, some subsidence as the brickwork floor has caved in/sunk.

Still at least the new Tidal Wave effec.... oh.

I ended up last minute going on the last Friday of the event. Just had the standard ticket this year. It was surprisingly quiet (they had less than 2k people there) which meant with the new ticketing system we got on things multiple times, including Electrick circus and Doom town 4 times.

I'll just be getting the standard ticket from now on, and go on one of the first Thursday/Sundays for low crowds. They were selling them on the night for £30, on the blackfriday sale they're £37 (£2 fee) so its definitely worth buying the bouncebacks if you're there the year before.

I won't repeat what everyone has already said but I really liked the changes they've made to Electrick circus although its a little on the shorter side.

I was blown away by doom town. I was a little worried that with reports of it not being very intense I wouldn't enjoy it, but it really is an incredible immersive experience and a solo run through at the end of the night on this was definitely the highlight of the night for me.

From what I've heard, there won't be any new haunts for the next couple years but they are planning some BIG changes for the hayride. Whether or not that happens next year is all dependent on how well they did this year, but yeah I believe that is the next focus.

Might be the VR apologist in me speaking but upgrading from the massively outdated Vive’s would really help the ride. Many VR headsets offer in headset tracking rather the old Lighthouse method which would probably help with a lot of the issues. They’ll never spend the money though so what’s the point, absolute worst company to do an attraction that revolves around constantly evolving technology.

Double post cos I rode the Dezza Train on Friday.

    Preshow still the same.
Pointless numbers and questions about phobias (iS AnYONe ScAReD oF SPiDerS) in preshow 2 now gone, you just wait and are guided on to the train.
VR 1 worked fine for me (though my friends - not so much due to broken headphones - lots of headsets in bags again)
Live action bit inbetween was actually really good, an actor was hidden underneath the fake train which genuinely made me jump - lots of interaction with the actors and Tulley-esque tongue clicking noises
VR 2 all good - until we got the interruption to your service message - which I genuinely thought was part of the experience/add on due to the fact it was themed... screens told us to take headsets off. Staff said put headsets back on. Much fun.
VR then continued for the demony grabby trainy throw bit.
    You're back in the room.
And then hastily exited out - completely bypassing the fake shop and long disappeared Demon (he who has risen and is the whole point of the ride)

Shop looking really really empty now in terms of Dezza merch... what on earth are they going to do with this thing? Who's Ghost Train is it? Nothing to do with me bruv.

Was suggesting - in my mind, the only way they can really sort of save it once the Dezza IP goes, is to run as some sort of upcharge Ghost Train with live actors etc - something Dungeons-esque? That Underground station theming is second to none as I've said so many times. A scare attraction in there could be amazing - and if it's upcharge, it's only moving around and costing money when there's people paying to be on it. Would the maths work? Will the IP be renewed? Is it the future of theme parks? Who knows.

The most upsetting thing is that I wrote that, as Steve is my alias, and I have not yet had one call. Is it worth complaining to Guest Services?
