Or just change to the ride to make the guns work! I havent ridden vengeance but surely an interactive screen could be a possibility?

Unless it is something like Vengeance that could just slip into the 4D cinema (not saying its Vengeance but just an example of a ride small enough). Agreed though it does seem unlikely. Sonic Spinball was advertised as a new attraction and in my opinion this could suggest that X could be rebranded as a whole new ride.

Would be much better to see a grand opening at Easter with a big deal made rather than a half-arsed almost winter opening with reliability low and only half the ride finished!

Rumour has it a new coaster is being built as we speak! In the Fungle Safari area! Or not! I like the interactive maze idea! Having said this it doesn't seem big enough for a theme park like thorpe.

I actually like the idea of turning the seats backwards but I agree that it is probably too soon to introduce a gimmike like that. Maybe in a few years time! I also think it is looking increasingly like an X refurb but the 4D idea does also sound likely. Why leave a perfectly good 4D screen unused? I can also think of few other things that could fill that space in terms of attractions. What ever surprise it is its definitely well hidden!

And the restraints really allow you to leave your seats which adds a whole new dimension!

Completely agree that would add a whole new dimension to the ride! That whole are of the park really needs something new and that could be just the ticket!

Although slightly off topic I remember thorpe fright nights this year when the Saw Alive queue was the same as the fast track queue. One of the most frustrating things I've seen. Both queues were frustrated and no one won. I think for SW7 if they're gonna do a limited number at £5 would suffice. If people really want to ride it that quick they should be able to but at least limit numbers severely and make the cost high to justify the queue jump!

The frustrating thing about the fair is that even when you spend the money to ride you just feel guilty about how much you've spent! Its takes the enjoyment out of the ride. I went on Blizzard this year and although it was great I just kept thinking am I getting my money's worth. I would love a ride wristband for say £30 quid or generally cheaper prices/ multi ride discounts but as visitor numbers rise there is no incentive to cut prices and they could rise further. A £6 price for Wild Maus with long queue implies that the price is right and not over the top! Maybe early morning discounts could be an idea? Having said this I thought it was brilliant year. One chocolate shop with lightbulbs and tools (made of chocolate of course) was exceptional is again over priced. The rides are brilliantly themed and there is an air of magic to the place. Some of the stools are actually pretty reasonable and hopefully next year (with the dream of falling prices) the park could be even better.

From reading the previous post I was left wondering could you get a racing bobsled? Could make an interesting attracation if possible!!!

Although unrealistic I think in the short term it would be great is the X queue line was opened up like a maze (as with nemesis sub terra) and this could go in well with the theming. The ride could make a decent scare attraction although it would lack a long term appeal as it could get very samey. Theres so much space in the pyramid for new ideas yet it looks as if little will come of it. Having said this a retheme would still be very interesting to see! WIth regards to Vengeance I havent ridden it yet but I can see how the low throughput would make the idea very impractical. Thorpe are without doubt looking at the Time Voyagers area and building but this idea just seems like a rushed thought of how to fill it. Something worth looking at in the future but no real need to for now. Finally although a new ride isnt really needed maybe a Thorpe Alive retheme or new scare attraction as a whole could be an idea. These seem really popular at the moment and would fit with the investment plan. Again this could be something to look into later in the year.

Chessington meet again? Ive so far been to two Thorpe meets and both have been pretty good. I missed the last Chessington meet and this would be something that I would really like to do next year! I also think that it could help with the issues of people not staying together/ knowing what to do.

Is it fair to say more people visit Thorpe than Alton? If you consider that Thorpe is so near London and therefore more appealing to tourists this could explain very long coaster queues. Alton is pretty much in the middle of nowhere and this could help explain shorter peak time queues?

Just seen on the news that Staines and Chertsey are at risk of flooding. Could Thorpe be at risk? I'm sure it wouldnt be anything drastic but its worth a thought with the amount of rain falling at the moment :s Anyone know if this could be a problem?

Maybe a Fright Nights ride opening? A new scare attraction/ X no way out re-branding could fit in well with the Halloween season. Would give Thorpe plenty of time to sort out a new attraction!
