True but fast tracks often sell out early and people don't really complain, I guess its just a sacrifice made arriving late.

Its a good point about people not wanting the second to back row, almost like queuing for the front and only getting second row. Hopefully they get the queueing sorted out and in my opinion I think online tickets would be best for the first few months. March and April could be chaos with everyone wanting to ride. Another option could be to give out back row tickets at the beginning of the day for free with allocated times? A short queue at the beginning of the day could ease the queue later on for the ride itself.

At least we know that experiment 10 will be back To be honest at this point they may not even know what changes they will make to Fright Nights, I can't see any real need to change things too much but agreed more actors around the park would be nice!

Thrill Chill has been renown for closed rides, with the temperatures today its good that they got as many rides going as they did, hopefully points to a good season !!!

Been watching this thread for a while and really want to go! Unfortunately with college there is no way I can make it but I wanted to say well done for creating this opportunity! Thorpe clearly appreciate the site and it is great to see opportunities like this opening up.

Awful line up IMO but can see loads of people going!!! Then again I can't see the likes of Pendulum/ Kasabian getting too excited by a gig at a theme park. Would be interesting to see how they run it though ...

It could be difficult to sustain interest if the finale is a one off shock. I wouldn't be surprised if they're planning on adding new animals each year to maintain interest and keep the attraction used. Its the sort of attraction that if well received could do great things for the park but there is a risk that it could be a costly unsuccessful ride. Hopefully a success!

Has anyone else noticed the facebook updates saying that Chessington reached capacity about four times last week! I know capacity cant be too high for a half term event but still cant be a bad sign for the park!!!!!!

Almost a week with no post. Remembering that Thorpe promised changES a month ago surely something else could still happen. Loosing optimism about an X retheme but the two new Swarm features don't quite seem to live up to the concept. Personally I dont see much need for anything else but would interesting to see another new idea!

Would love to attend this meet! Ideally a Sunday for me.

A bit of a shame the great fire section has gone! That was a good part with the spinning tunnel. Still, cant complain!!!! Anyone know if there will be any space for expansion?

The Keep Out sign looks good for a decent finish

The loading area also looks much better at Cypress Gardens! Hopefully over closed season they may fix the pads? The ride could be much better if it was enclosed I.e it was more like a tube, could make the ride more disorientating?

What about some sort of water coaster e.g. Rollersoaker, no space I know but would meet Thorpes love of water and thrill rides

Other than the stereotypical 'battle galleons' what new water ride could they add?

At least you get a good view on the lift hill! And its so slow you get plenty of time to enjoy it

X retheme still makes sense to link the ride to the club nights/ special events. Could be another opportunity for cheap and effective advertising!

At least it will be a new experience, almost a whole new ride! Can't see it bringing in too many new visitors but should keep old visitors happy. Still hoping for an X retheme but not looking likely. Like the idea of the billboard, will be good to add to the already quality theming!

Could make for some interesting merchandise too!! Thinking tee shirts with the smiler on :/

To be fair to Thorpe Storm Surge isn't that bad. It does after all still get decent queues. I guess for a park like Thorpe there aren't enough buildings or space for decent dark rides and they already have quite a few flats like Slammer. With few new flat ideas to add why not build on the water ride idea and then move to mazes and smaller attractions? There doesn't seem an obvious non coaster option left!
