Zombies is tonnes better than Blair Witch... Then again, walking in my garden at night is better than Blair Witch...
  2. I wouldn't mind constant experience between guests, just a shame the current experience is DIRE and makes no sense...

    That map is VILE </3
  4. Probably sick and tired of it constantly getting smashed more times than people on a night out in Croydon...
  5. It was nice to see Swarm's effects all working yesterday... The plane looks so good at night <3
  6. Onto actual operations side, I see Thorpe decided that an organised queue to get into the park itself and the Mraws queue is shut possibly for good... One bad thing, one good thing...
  7. Were the ride queues REALLY that bad to warrant such hours yesterday? The answer, no... Of course later on during half term we might see packed things EVERYWHERE, but yesterday was a day of moderate busy times... Does Fright Nights only exist after 3pm? Aside from the entrance signage and the random dotted theming there and in the Dome, you wouldn't be surprised if it was any other day at the park, especially with the chart music blaring at the entrance... Also, Thorpe have decided that organised queuing to get in should be forgotten, and having 2 queues into the AP gate is a FANTASTIC idea... Why get rid of the old queue system that worked pretty well and was rather clear as to what was what? Rather than have lines of people waiting for 30 minutes to be effectively jumped because the staff member wanted a 2nd AP entrance queue? The ride announcements are cheese... Simple as, and I dunno, just not that great? I think it's because it's the same announcement on each ride bar the odd differing one (on Det) which makes it seem like a good idea poorly done, like every Merlin addition... You're Next actors were great, that simple really... The fact that they go around in one large group is both their best and worst feature, as it means you might never encounter them at all during your visit... Also bumped into the Director and his entourage a few times, he was fab and these were easily the best part of the day... Blair Witch is awful... People standing in your way does not constitute scary times, neither does a man running up to you and then as soon as you notice him retreat away... Perhaps this would be more suited to a 'Brave it Alone' thing, or smaller groups, as the constant conveyor of people doesn't help it at all... Plus B&Q shed theming </3 Didn't do the other mazes cos don't like them in the first place, and why queue 80 minutes for Saw Alive when Swarm is on a 10 minute queue? Queue estimates were all over the place as well for rides and mazes... Cabin advertised at 90 ended up being 30, whilst ones advertised at 60 were longer... Swarm's advertised 5 minute queue was aforementioned 10 minutes... All in all, it doesn't FEEL like a Halloween event with just music, actors, mazes and lighting that's there all year around... The park (and Towers) NEED to look into making the park look Halloweeny... Port Aventura made an obscene effort and Chessie no doubt will as well to make the park suit the Halloween theme, it's disappointing that our top 2 UK parks don't... A real air of indifference to the event... Mainly as outside the mazes, it's just another day in the park... Shame...
  8. How many people actually pay the gate price? With the numerous BOGOFs or online deals, very few will be...
  9. Someone I know on Facebook just posted this... Go Rumba!
  10. Still waiting on the completion of the American Wing-Rider trains to be themed...
  11. You said that you thought it was real, even though in the face of the video you posted it said the word 'UNOFFICIAL' in big letters at the very beginning of it... I felt it prudent to point out your mistake and not get your hopes up as there has been no official confirmation from the park in regards to getting a new coaster in the near future beyond the odd "We hope to do so"... If it's rude to point out quite simply that you were incorrect to assume the plans made it look certain Drayton were getting a Hot Wheels Mack Launched coaster, then I'm rude... Finally, it's "people expect when THEY'RE rude", just for pedantry...
  12. Can't really compare funfair pricing though, because those are mostly different operators and have to pay various different things (rent being one of them, I can't imagine Hyde Park being cheap to have a space in)... Thing is, until the BOGOF pricing reaches breaking point, this won't matter too much as very few people actually pay full price in the first place... Be it via BOGOFs or even pre-booking on the internet...
  13. So an unofficial video with plans of someone's own personal designs make it look certain Drayton are getting a Mack launched IP coaster? Nah...
  14. I would say the not touching thing is an American problem that unfortunately for them probably cannot be solved without changing their culture... "Ew they breathed on me, I'm sueing the park for mental trauma!"
  15. You mean the video that says 'UNOFFICIAL' at the very start?
  16. Probably because the current 'proper' walkthroughs we saw posted on here from Inside the Magic and the like were done on Media days by relative professionals with prior permission from the park... Tough potatoes really, as no-one here can really condone the breaking of park rules, especially when can't even take photos of the backstage tour event...
  17. Dollywood They did need a middling coaster between the kiddie one and Thunderhead/Mystery Mine and this certainly fits the bill... EDIT - Image of the full layout...
  18. Because Chessington... As for the Goblins, yeah not surprising they're covering them up, they make little sense to the new storyline and as such having them around (probably with half of them still broken) is best for them...
  19. £2 million is not enough to fix up the entire park... Especially when most of their problems cannot be fixed by throwing money at it...
  20. Depends if they get Rameses and Runaway Train open for March next year... And improve parkwide operations... And invest in improving the state of the park... And build something new... And improve throughputs... And theme Dragon Falls... A refurbed HPH would be sticking sellotape over the ever-increasing cracks...
  21. From what I've heard they're really pushing the boat out for it, weird for what is only a temporary attraction... Unless HPH refurb is gonna happen, which I doubt anyone would say no to, since it's crap...
  22. Most of the obvious mistakes are down to the theme park portion of it, rather than the actual safari side... Like, between leaving the station and the rhino paddock is decent enough (driver interaction would of course improve things, hell even zoo staff sitting in the front on a much louder PA system would improve matters), but everything else surrounding the ride is one big mess... You can see the inspiration, but the design errors just as much...
  23. Come on guys, break the park rules! What kind of enthusiasts are you not risking getting chucked out and your MAP revoked in order to get a crappy low-light video of some dark corridors and people jumping out at you?
