  1. I would guess around 12/1 odd as it has been the last few years...

    The Smiler

I thought it was only due to be closed Mon/Tues?

    The Smiler

Looks fab at night... From TowersStreet

    CBeebies Land

See also, Peppa Pig World for an immersive IP experience...
  5. Not when it's available for free And not allowed to mention the experience? That's not exactly a great form of advertising is it? Bit daft from Thorpe not to really use the word of mouth detail beyond people saying "it's good", considering how some are stating BWP is 'good'...
  6. I just hope they learnt from Rainbow Magicland's mistakes and build the theming very cheaply... Or suffer from budget cuts...

    CBeebies Land

Shaun the Sheep is the first one that pops into my head... I have a feeling the rights to what they can use will be set by Auntie Beeb, plus I'm sure a lot of their 'proper' live action shows will be the choice of theme for the shows/activities...
  8. If they wanted to use a film that fitted the themes of the park in general, why not use Pocahuntas? Be a hell of a lot cheaper... Then again, the only reason they went to Avatar was down to Universal getting Potterland... But as Avatar lacks the substance and character (Cars is a terrible Pixar film, but it still does have those qualities around it, making it better than most) beyond it's visuals, I am severely non-plussed about it...
  9. During term time week when the majority of it's target market can't visit? Course it's empty... Just cannot handle anymore than 15k in the park, which is really bad... It needs higher throughput rides replacing the crap ones first and foremost...

    CBeebies Land

Confirmed as CBeebies Land... http://www.blooloop.com/news/merlin-entertainments-and-bbc-to-create-cbeebies-l/24979#.Ul0C7VMwJLq Interesting to see how this competes with the likes of Thomas and Nick Land...
  11. Yet rides like Jungle Cruise, the Safaris and pre-destruction Jaws were all loved because of the available improv to the ride hosts... Even Tower of Terror has a fantastic array of experiences available to guests throughout the ride... Terminator 2 as well can be added to the list... There's a set dialogue blurb of course, but then the host can do what they want with it... Considering Zufari's dialogue is A - Crap (the Rhino dung and warning signs sections), B - Makes no sense as you never meet Chase in the pre-show now (Not that it did in the first place) and C - Dependant on the animals being out, it's not a very good experience in the first hand... In fact, the attraction itself is inconsistent due to the animals and their behaviour... Having a driver be in charge of the dialogue would improve things a lot more, because of being able to adapt to the whole thing as it changes on a constant basis... It's extremely boring and confusing to have silence because there's an animal in the way and you can't see it, or that the traffic lights are red and you're still sat in silence... So basically, long story short, improv would be an improvement... Unless they think that means more Gotzee, it which case, it should go away...
  12. To be fair, the road has slightly improved since the addition of the traffic lights outside the main entrance car park... Problem is, the road is busy due to rush hour as it's the major road in and out of Chessington towards either the A3 or the M25... Unless there is a way of turning into a dual carriageway (very unlikely) nothing can be done by the park or indeed the council to manage the traffic better... Of course, if the park could convince SouthWest Trains to increase the number of services to the park, that could go a step towards it... Won't happen though... Chessington do not have the power over the NIMBYs... No one does...
  13. It won't have to do much let's be honest considering the lack of expectation that Chessie have given us this year... Although it'll probably be the same recycling theming every year on park, the only hope really lies with HPH's redo... And of course, the park will still have it's other problems...
  14. Depends if that's the actual charge for it though in pounds though... Certainly looks high end, wonder what it looks like on a typical laptop/desktop without all the high grade stuff on it? Always the issue with PC games (both exclusive and multi-platform) these days is that all the imagery is taken off this wonderful expensive things that few people actually own... What they NEED to have on NL, is a simplified introduction and simple mode if you will, where it does a lot of the nitty gritty for you when designing on it (banking/supports/etc)... It's what never got me into the thing fully in the first place...

    Scarefest

Throughout the park now of course meaning a central point nowhere near half of the park?
  16. Not even Bubbles, HPH or Seastorm? Considering it's likely half the zoo will still be shut, the Zoo Days will seem rather pointless...
  17. Blair Witch I'm guessing will only open when it's properly dark, which is good for it because then you can't see the actors/other guests in front of you... Otherwise it would be REALLY pointless...
  18. Get there for opening (which should be a consideration for any park visit), then head onto Vampire/Fury depending on the entrance you arrive at... You might well need Fastrack for something later in the day depending on the operations, and judging by the year so far that is quite likely... Busyness varies greatly at Chessie, so best to just play things by ear...
  19. Can never have too much Midnight Syndicate, I was glad to hear it outside Asylum... Shame the rest of the music was rather undescript...
  20. Seeing the queue for Blair Witch I understand why Rocky closes, Loggers closes because of safety at night... It also has Fastrack, as people used it whilst we were queuing... Combined with the low throughput of the mazes, they'll always have long queues of burden... Though if that means the coasters get low queues, I'm not gonna complain...
  21. It might look nice, but it'll still be a crappy IP used that has no substance whatsoever...
  22. Chessie could dig down and have done before, but judging how half the park is shifting I doubt they'd wanna risk it...
