  1. Went today - no fire, barley any water and the helicopter blades were not spinning
  2. I wonder what it will be - I saw a poster outside the park today that said "Fright nights - New horror attraction".
  3. I have always thought that just calling it Inferno would be better tbh.
  4. Another great bit of extra theming for The Swarm! Although I think it would have looked better the right way up without the rock if you know what I mean - still tilted but not upside-down. Still, well done again Thorpe
  5. I went to Thorpe park today (Friday.) TIME IN PARK: 9:30am - 2:45pm RIDECOUNT: The Swarm x2 (Not running well at all today as well as last time I visited, for details please see my post in The Swarm topic.) X:/ No way out x2 Stealth x2 Storm surge x1 (Very few spinners now and the ones that are there don't work.) Detonator x1 HIGHLIGHTS: - Queues were not as long as I expected them to be (Except for The Swarm - One train service until 12 ) - Stealth being open despite some problems earlier in the week. LOWLIGHTS: - Almost all effects on Swarm were off and the fire stopped working at around 11 - Storm surge has barley any spinners and the ones that are there don't work much - Rumba rapids was closed - Dispatch times on The Swarm were lousy
  6. I would like to see a retheme of X no way out and a major clean up of Colossus and Nemesis inferno as well as theming and making Storm surge look nicer. A new flat ride would be nice though
  7. The dragon has had a great new paint job, I saw it on Tuesday.
  8. The Swarm was very poor today. - Until around 12 noon it was running a one train service with a 90 minute queue. - The fire effect stopped working today at around 11, meaning that I didn't get a ride with it on. - There were no water skims operating at all today despite the hot weather. - The sound effects were out of time - The dispatch times were quite lousy. - On some rows the LED's were not working. Sort it out Thorpe park!
  9. I went on Tomb blaster on Tuesday and I have to say that the ride experience is much better now - more effects, better lighting and some new scenery. I still think that the fences are a bit over the top though.
  10. This appeared on my Facebook newsfeed today from Park logic: Guests took for an unexpected thrill on the Alton Towers yesterday as after park close the park's Cow themed monorail crashed. While details are sparse on the event, however a recent Facebook post on the park's page from someone on board the Moonorail gives a slight insight in to what happened. "Hi, I just wanted to leave a message for your staff! Me and my friends were a little injured yesterday on the monorail and every member of staff who came to help us was fantastic, they kept everyone calm and were very understanding and reassuring. The medical staff were outstanding too and clearly knew what they were doing! The driver of the monorail even came to see us in the Medical Centre at half 8 last night just to make sure we were okay! What a hero! Hope everyone else got away as relatively luckily as us. Thanks again " No major injuries have been reported.
  11. That looks horrendous, it completley ruins the theming and looks tacky! Was it really needed? Couldn't the old fences have been fixed instead of all this?
  12. The fire and Ambulance look amazing!
  13. Wow, I haven't ever seen mist being used on that side before Can't wait for SW7
  14. If a maze moves from Thorpe to Alton then I guess it will either be se7en or curse - I would expect Curse to be in Mutiny bay. I doubt Asylum would move because it is in a permanent building and is probably left set up all year (correct me if I am wrong.) Chainsaws will just be used at the end of one of Alton's mazes imo.
  15. The Swarm - it's a great coaster experience and has the best theming on park in my opinion.
  16. I agree with that, if it wasn't over 18's only then I would go along because I love scare attractions and Fright nights and would like to be able to contribute my ideas!
  17. I think that now that the park now need to focus on adding more theming to the mazes and some anamatronics. I would also like to see much scarier face paint on the actors.
  18. Great new piece of theming! There seems to be some sort of pipe coming out of the top of it. Smoke machine possibly?
  19. I went to Chessington yesterday. Park was quite busy, and it closed too early - 5pm closing when the park is still full of people is not good enough.
  20. Hopefully it won't be a kiosk because it would completley ruin the plane theming where it is. I don't think that they would move that fire engine because it wouldn't really look good with both on the island in my opinion. Personally I hope that it is a new piece of theming
  21. 1. The Swarm - Sitting either side of the track and the theming interaction makes this my favourite B&M. 2. Oblivion - The sheer thrill of going down the drop and the feeling in your stomach as you go down makes this an amazing ride - It would be in first place but it is too short. 3. Nemesis - I love this ride! The intensity is amazing and it doesn't lose it throughout the ride. 4. Air - While I like this ride it could be a lot better and faster. 5. Nemesis inferno - While I like this ride I feel that it could have been a lot better and it is a ride that I won't queue long for. I think that it is a better coaster than Air but I have ridden it too many times!
  22. I would have to say Colossus. This is because while I like inferno it has nothing on the original Nemesis (which does beat Colossus imo) and it's thrilling moments are seperated by fairly boring ones. Also Colossus has my favourite part of the ride last - the five barrel rolls.
  23. I would like to see a B&M hyper coaster - I think that it would fit in well with the park.
  24. I am not sure what setting Samurai was on today but it was running at less than half it's normal speed and it was appauling!
