Coaster got a reaction from Inferno in Alton Towers News
Not the best lineup in the world, but it would be nice to see Thorpe do something similar next year!

Coaster reacted to stretchy in Alton Towers Fireworks
I took videos of the fireworks Sat and Sun.
Sat - Warning Sat has a bit of autofocus issue where my camera decided that the smoke was far more interesting than anything else
Sun - Warning my camera was so sad about the end of the season that it misted up gradually through the show.
And a picture I took on Friday that I quite like

Coaster reacted to AJ in Maniacs Brave The Bloody Valentine Tour - 19/10/13
As I mentioned within the towers topic once the project I'm running at work has finished and my exams and coursework are complete that have come in this month. Plus I just got out of an operation from which I'm awaiting swelling to still go down for the next stage of treatment.
Trip reports will come just at the moment I have other priorities at the moment. Please accept my apologies

Coaster reacted to Dodge2002 in Park Operations
The charge probably wouldn't be as insulting, were it not for the fact you get the choice of an uneven gravel pit, or swamped grassland to park on 90% of the time. And then just to rub salt in the wound, a 30 minute queue to find your way out of a completely ill-thought out exit route, as you encounter 20 lanes that must merge into 4, with no staff assistance.

Coaster got a reaction from StealthRider in Logger's Leap
Breaching health and safety rules in such a way is ridiculous, it's people like you who ruin our rides for everyone.
(Anyone remember the restriction on Rumba Rapids last year because of people standing up?)
What on earth went through your head to do an idiotic thing like that?
This proves my point about the park not being strict enough - you should have been ejected from the park for doing that!
Stupidity.

I don't know why we argue which park has worse reliability; they both have unacceptable levels.

Coaster reacted to pluk in Logger's Leap
Yes, I'm sure someone form the health and safety executive was straight on to the Thorpe Park hotline when they got wind of your ride photo.
You got kicked out because of stupidity, not because of health and safety.

Coaster got a reaction from Whiteknuckle in Drayton Manor
I really enjoyed the day I spent here on Saturday 2nd November.
The park was open until 9pm as it was their fireworks event, and we got plenty of rides on everything!
- G-Force was much enjoyed by us. Despite all the negative reviews we really enjoyed it, especially the hangtime on the first lift-hill (provided that you don't crush yourself with the restraint). The restraints did tighten throughout the ride, but that was our only niggle. It was nice to have inversions without OTSR's!
- We also enjoyed Shockwave, as it was quite forceful in places and didn't have a very big queue.
- Apocalypse was also very good - my favourite drop tower.
RIDECOUNT:
Shockwave x8
G-Force x7
Apocalypse x5 (Was planning to hammer this in the last hour but it closed due to wind )
Pirate Adventure x2
Stormforce 10 x1
Splash Canyon Rapids x1
Maelstrom x1
Pandemonium x1
Ben 10 x1
Golden Nugget Shoot Out x1
The Haunting x1
The park was coping well with crowds and queue times were not bad at all. Operations at the park were much better than those experienced at Towers!
The fireworks were also very nice.

Gone a lot more unnoticed than the Smiler for obvious reasons, but Th13teen seems to have had a really poor end to the season reliability wise.

Coaster got a reaction from Kerfuffle in The Smiler
They need to sort out these issues. After finally getting on The Smiler I really enjoy it and it's a great ride - now sort out the issues!

Coaster got a reaction from pluk in 2013 Thorpe Park Season Review
I think that they have had a great season this year!
The atmosphere has improved on park definitely this year (apart from the chav-infested Fright Nights!), and I think that they are finally getting better at operation/maintenance at the park.
Fright Nights was also very good this year as a whole, although consistency is still a bigger problem than it should be.
What I would like to see next year:
- The Swarm put back how it's meant to be - no backwards seats.
- Effects on ALL rides maintained throughout the season, so that it's rare to see an effect broken (rather than the other way round in some cases!)
- Operations improved further - one train operation only on dead/really, really quiet days.
- A revamped park entrance.
- Some of the rides cleaned up (Loggers Tunnel, Colossus Repaint etc...)
- THE ENTRANCE THEME BACK! They have that piece of music, it's a crime not to use it!
Maybe a small new attraction next year, as they have said on their website "We'll be back with MORE THRILLS in 2014."
However I think that the above changes are more important than a new attraction next year, as much as I would like to see one.

Coaster got a reaction from Inferno in Blackpool Pleasure Beach
Just thought I would throw it out there - Blackpool Pleasure Beach season passes are currently on sale for £89 (usually £189!)
I don't know how long this will last for, but I just thought I would make it known.
https://www.blackpoolpleasurebeach.com/book-online/season-pass/platinum+pass+2014/2761/
I've got mine ordered and am getting it for Christmas - I live over 5 hours away but am going to go to Blackpool for a week in April!

Coaster got a reaction from FrightNights04 in Closed Season
I would really like a newly designed park entrance.
Out with the temporary metal fences, in with a very nice new (possibly partially undercover) queuing system and the entrance theme back!

Coaster reacted to Matt 236 in Closed Season
It would be quite interesting if they ever did a February half term event in the future where selected rides are operating (mainly those nearer the entrance and that cope with the cold.
However seeing how unsuccessful they were in 2007/2008 where the maintenance level was disappointing and the park not prepared, I'm not expecting this anytime soon.

Coaster got a reaction from Glitch in Fright Nights 2013
Well Fright Nights 2013 was a big success (in my opinion) and a huge improvement on 2012. We saw two new mazes, a new scare zone and the return of their best maze (imo) which had improved greatly on previous years.
For next year I would like to see them work on consistency - for example at times MBV was brilliant, whereas at other times it was poor.
Overall a great year for Fright Nights, but in my opinion the best year of Fright Nights was 2011.
Went to Fright Nights 5 times this year!

Coaster got a reaction from OldFarmerDean in Nemesis Inferno
I must admit that before this year I never really rated Nemesis Inferno very highly - however this year it really has picked up some force and speed on the majority of the layout, which is particularly noticeable near the end of the day.
Whilst still not one of my favourite coasters (and, in my opinion, not as good as Nemesis at Towers) I now really enjoy it when previously I wasn't fussed about getting on it.

also went yesterday, and had a great time with very little queues... although would comment on how bad the operations on maelstrom were, just took forever to get people off and on! you could see a lot of effort was put into the event and fireworks, well worth the visit and to get to ride the rides in the dark : -)
