We are not asking guests to do our job for us and I'm sorry you have interpreted our post this way.
The 'Queue Champion' role is a real position - every day on the Park we have a dedicated person whose responsibility it is to spend the day checking and updating Queue times to keep them as accurate as possible. But queue times are not an exact science and can fluctuate more quickly than we can always keep up with.
The text service is absolutely not something we will be using to replace this role - it is an additional form of communication for guests to get in touch and let us know if they believe any of the times to be inaccurate. We will not take a given time as fact, but rather we will then ensure we check exactly what the queue time is and update it accurately.
It is also an optional service - there is no obligation to use it at all!

There is nothing stopping them running three trains other than themselves. If the procedures needed to change for some reason they have two options to comply with them; put the resources in place to be compliant with them, or take ages doing what they need to to comply with them with the resources they have and blame a non existent 'health and safety'. They take the easy and cheap route.

I agree, although they could have spent most of the last few weeks doing the insides of the mazes (and we wouldn't know). Therefore they might only have a few finishing touches to the exteriors to make.

Good on Thorpe for having some staff on the look out for queue times. Also good that guests can contact if a queue is way different from what was stated.
Visited the park yesterday and actually the queue times were all accurate. Thorpe does need to alter the amount of time the second page of queue times is displayed for on the main LED boards though - currently it is shown for about 1 second and then you have to wait a long time to see it again!
On a negative note I don't think I heard a please or thank you from any of the staff yesterday. This is a basic element of customer service and on an even more simple level, it's common courtesy. Incredibly rude.
I also don't appreciate when members of staff drop a height stick on you when you're sat down on Inferno, and then get no apology...

Moan queue times are wrong
Moan when they actually try and do something about it.
Thorpe are hardly the only park with the issue, would you rather they just ignore the problem like the others?

Pending the reliability of Rameses and (to some extent) Ripsaw it is unlikely that we will be seeing one at Thorpe.

It's probably worth mentioning that the Creating your own Nemesis books are available to buy at Thorpe Park at the moment, although they didn't have any price on them when I saw them today.

Some changes/progress I noticed today at the park:
- Asylum has new wood on the exit door which I imagine will look like a cell when finished.
- There was lots of wood outside Asylum, not sure what it's for though.
- My Bloody Valentine now has speakers around the exterior of the maze (presumably for queueline audio/music).
- Cabin in the Woods has had it's "hellgate" entrance painted orange (it was previously grey).
- Lots of posters advertising the event around the park. It's going to be a good one!
Not much to see with TBWP at the moment, although I'm still not sure where to look.

I love how Saw is valleyed in that video!

OK we headed over to the park entrance to meet Coaster and wondered what the queue times were?

AN area of Fountain Square has been cordoned off.

Universal's HHN's The Cabin In The Woods for those who haven't seen it yet...

But it's not just enthusiasts who complain is it! Even if they don't voice their opinion on forums or to guest services all the time that doesn't necessarily mean they're fine with it, just that they probably don't care enough to bother with doing anything about it. Chances are the massively inflated, slow-moving queues have still made an impact on their day.
Come on Marc, you have got to admit that Thorpe do oversell Fastrack on some peak days, and it makes queueing a nightmare.
Tbh if complaints are happening at all then a problem must exist.

^ Yes! I liked it but I do like the new version. Either way it isn't really that good, but I am a fan of dark rides/coasters so I enjoy it, even though there are much, much better ones around.

There could be more than just them though.

Just had a thought - it would be great if the actors in Asylum wore the costumes that were used by the actors wandering around the park last year!
They'd suit the theme of Asylum as well

I was there today with a swarm queue stating 45 min queue so I bought a fast track got there and there was 4 people queuing in the main queue and the 30 min queue was after the fastrack queue. The girl told me to go back to the fastrack hut and ask for a refund as there was no queue at the normal entrance.
They happily gave me my £5 back and apologised!
Still misconception on queue times but at least they gave me a refund!

Ok here now going to try and take some maze pics. Experiment 10 signs still up in the arena. Gutted loggers is shut today and Colossus!

thorpe park said they are taking on the largest cast ever this year with roughly 150 actors in total

Asylum has had the layout tweaked a few times. The Freezer was sorta different, and the route was reversed at one point too.
I guess by dead ends, they were talking more about physical fake routes; pretty sure they never mentioned them before?
Also, I think the actors are meant to be the patients, but I guess it just means we could be new patients, who then have to escape after realising what 'The Asylum' actually is. It does say it is a live action maze, so it will definitely have actors in, and I'd assume there'll be the key aspect of the experience.
