I know there is always artistic licence and all, but I can see that advert being put up against ride footage on watchdog at some point this summer!

Over The Shoulder Restraint (which is a bad thing!)
-
Don't think they'll mess about with those 'little' things promotion wise. I think it will be quite simply WORLD INVERSION RECORD!
-
When people check their phone while I'm mid conversation with them I would like to smash them in the face. No need for such rudeness.

It might be a rip off but there is something about this that just works... http://youtu.be/N7xZUr37sq4 But this is the best thing I've heard in a long time... Luuuurv it.

The reason they, along with every other news empire, wants to destroy the BBC is for things like this. They don't want us being given news and entertainment for 'free' when they can try and hold us ransom for it without actually offering anything of any real value. Just a shame the government is in their pocket and so much of the public go along with this 'evil BBC' line the press throw at us so incessantly. We'll miss it when its gone!

Looks good to me! The sound system will make all the difference so I hope they've go that right - not easy in a big cavernous space. I used to enjoy the backwards aspect and personally think it is a shame they switched it, but understand why and it is probably right for the longevity of the ride. They've had the trains a couple of weeks now so surely this is a sign they are nearly ready to go?
-
Yep! Think there was some sort of multi level children's climb through thing where that picture was taken from at the time if I remember correctly.
-
If the Buddha rocks going were the best thing to ever happen to the ride surely you think it is approaching perfection now?! --- If this is temporary I'll be pleased, if what has gone is replaced to the same quality I'll be amazed, if I'm told this is part of some planned £2m improvement scheme and not that it had been neglected into becoming dangerous to operate I won't believe it.

Because in the opinion of many it is very poor and quite expensive for what you get. This comes as quite a cheap and nasty disappointment of an investment after plans for a full size proper hotel have been approved and shelved. Most of us only want what is good for the park, and we don't think this is it! Are you still really happy that there is on site accommodation considering that it is out side and rooms sleep 4 in a tiny tiny space for considerably more money than travelodge type places a couple of miles (and couple of £ in a taxi) away? Or would you rather a proper hotel?

It might be easier all round to wear a jacket with zipped pockets. If you do go with the bum bag maybe wear a top long enough to cover it up just in case this is an active rule I've never seen be enforced. (although don't brake any park bum bag rules related, obviously!) In fact it is probably a good idea to wear a top long enough to cover a bum bag anyway for fashion embarrassment reasons.
-
Bum bags are fine on all rides in my experience, sometimes they have to be worn to the side to allow the restraints to connect with you rather than the bag though. I have had nemesis tear one off of someone I was riding with once, so make sure they have good solid clasps etc. Guess they're not designed for those forces.

Oh, and Churros. The staple food of theme parks the world over, but not the UK for some reason. I want my cinnamony goodness.

Madness concerts should always happen. Television centre should never be closed. It is a travesty and the only reason there has been no outcry is its demise is a positive for the owners of our 'free' press so it has barely had a mention. This is something we will all regret in a very few years, just wait an see. Disgraceful.
-
Hey kids, real music on BBC4 right now. Madness in concert. Go watch it! Just a shame it is a concert closing television centre down, something which should never have been allowed to happen.

I totally agree with you Ian, they are selling the convenience above all else and they have placed a premium value upon that. The date I was looking at 2 nights and two days is £300 Crashpad, £163 T5 (9miles, no breakfast) or Hilton Bracknell (19 miles, with breakfast). All from Thorpe breaks page. For my own personal preference though the premium they have placed on it is excessive and the accommodation on offer not acceptable. Save between a third and half of the cost for a 15 minute drive? To a proper hotel with some space, corridors and a swimming pool? Give me the money! And a towel. They are aiming it at those who are famously short of cash and likely to take the cheapest option for a little inconvenience, but not offering what those with the money are likely to want. So who is going to actually stay? I want the parks and the things they do be a success, it is in my interest as someone who enjoys visiting. But as you point out, they seem be doing only what is 'good enough' - the minimum that would be acceptable. That is not the way to greatness. I sometimes wonder if they deserve to succeed. Although none of this actually matters it seems, we can all stay at Josh's place!

This thread is becoming a Tragedy.

http://forum.maniahub.com/topic/4523-random-picture-thread/page-32#entry153903 (lazy! ) Feel like crap. Horrible fever and stomach cramps thing going on. Labyrinth is making feel a little better though.

I'm no good at this stuff, but to add a pic direct to here hit 'more reply options' then bellow the text box click on 'add attachment', which will then let you select a file from your PC to upload. But it is easier to get a photobucket account upload your stuff to there and while viewing the pic you want to share tap the 'IMG Code' box on the right, then right click in the text box here and select paste. Your picture should then display.

Little bit more on the same one. http://www.winknews.com/Local-Florida/2013-03-20/Video-captures-moments-after-carnival-ride-accident#.UUsE7hxdCSo Just realised it is the ride Josh is trying to get on in Big! Always wanted to go on one of them.
-
My problem is four people in there is too much, and for two people it is truly extortionate. Random date... EDIT = link don't work. 17th may 2 adults, 1 noght, 2 days. Try it. Crashpad is near as damn it twice the price of hotels within 10 miles. No way is that right for that little box.

Chessington was just on a question of sport, some guy I've never heard of riding rides you had to identify. And guess what bit of music they used underneath? #Farewell to the fairground, these rides aren't working any more.# How sadly fitting.
-
Rather neatly answered for me there! As well as those points the biggest thing for me is the actual ride sequence. Paris is just perfect, the ridiculous never ending weightlessness they achieve without fail going into the second drop is miles better than either of the others have given me. While I can see the fun in the randomiser of the original at no point does it seem to be this good, and even if it was you probably wouldn't get it ever again! I too was surprised it is the case, but for me Paris wipes the floor with the others. Lovin the report.

They are free moving, so sometimes they will move and sometimes they will be balanced and happen not to move. Nothing funny going on.
