Which is what they have just done, so don't fret!

I know these are soooo last summer, but I'm still loving them. http://youtu.be/S8jhXmfdRFY http://youtu.be/Y-nsrUoShQQ Also, Jessie Ware played some amazing stuff old an new this week filling in for Annie Mac. It reminded me of how Kiss FM used to sound when it was pirate, and remained like for about the first 10 years if its license. Then it slowly turned into the blandest crap imaginable, barely above the likes of Capital, and all the pirate stations have an angry man shouting over crap music played too fast. There really is very little music radio of any quality any more, such a shame.

Can we please stop reading so much into bits of non information posted on facebook, it means nothing at all and makes us look very stupid. There is no one in an office somewhere labouring over the nuances of every word to subtly release information, they are replying to the masses to try and get them to go to a theme park next year. Many thanks.

One of the highlights of my year, gone. http://www.echo-news.co.uk/news/10160485.Southend_Air_Show_scrapped_and_pier_shut_in_budget_cutbacks/ Seems so unnecessary, I'm sure a sponsor could have been found, especially as Southend airport has just been redeveloped and is trying to promote itself in a big way.

Superb advertising, love it. Lets all play a game of spot The Smiler, I'm guessing they're going to crop up all over.

Since 2011, when they ballsed it right up. Chaos ensued. http://forum.towerstimes.co.uk/alton-towers-general/oblivion-now-sponsored-by-fanta/90/

The last page makes me want to smash my head through the table. Back in reality, it's an office day again so hopefully some more hints coming our way about a modest X retheme and/or The Swarm modifications and/or anything else realistic we might be this year.
-
That looks an absolute mess, in the most magnificent way. If the duelling aspect is correct two trains in that section at a time will look chaotic, like a dog fight. This should be one hell of a ride for the spectators.

It is In The Hall Of The Mountain King (often written ITHOTMK) by Grieg. As it is well over a hundred years old there is no copyright on it and it is in the public domain, so Alton and anyone else are free to use it without any payment. The only payment might be to the recording artist but that is minuscule, often a one off payment for performance rather than a royalty when it is played. So it could turn up anywhere, and often does. Always feels wrong though, it is the Alton Towers music!

Although I thought I'd try it and this worked! But it is a problem I've had a few times recently.
-
I seem to have the same problem if I quote something with a smiley in it. Is that the same problem you're having, or can you not use them in the first place?

I suspected it had been left there just in case SW7 wasn't ready on time, good call for a replacement attraction. I'm guessing it'll close as soon as SW7 is open though, which is fair enough. And the repaint? Wow. I hope they do a good job on the station too including re-emphasising the videos, bring it back to the overall experience it once was. Exciting stuff
-
Although don't quote me on that if it turns out to be packed! Random busy days do happen without warning and if the park is geared up for a quiet one and loads of people turn up it can get chaotic quite quickly as there's not the staff in place to cope. You should be fine though. Good luck!

Should be dead, that's the sort of time I usually go and most things are walk on.

That is the impression I got from POVs. I also thought the inside looked to clinical and lacking in charm compared to the old one, but I guess that is made up for by it being spectacular? It's hard to tell without riding in person but I think it's a shame the old one has gone.

What would be the difference? A coaster, in the dark, with loud music playing and flashing lights? It already has no theme / a night club theme. If they just did it well instead of having one loud distorted speaker and rather knackered lighting, and it had a nightclub sponsorship/theme, how could that not be an improvement?

I know it has kind of already been said, but this could still be anything. We all know they like a bit of hype, whether it is deserved or not. This could still be as dull as a new coffee bar or something, they'd still try and tell you it was worth visiting for because, shock of shocks, they want you to visit! All means nothing until there's an actual announcement. My money is on X referb simply because it makes the most sense and has been a strong rumour from the off, even more so than every other year since forever. Whether that'd be done to be anything other than embarrassment I'm less sure on, because to do it well wouldn't be cheap, but if they do do it well I'd be quite happy. Vengeance in Pirates is an outside possibility I suppose, and how about the other dungeons left overs? Boat ride and Extremis are both going begging as far as I know, a mini dungeons? I don't really see it fitting at Thorpe but they've done stranger things. A new film in pirates could be good if it was the right film and not an abomination like Time Voyagers, I don't believe the building is in as bad a way as is sometimes made out. And then there is the reverse Swarm thing, which is so full of fail it is painful. Why on earth would consideration be given to effectively referbing the best shiniest newest thing they've got, which is pretty damn awesome in itself, when money is so desperately needed elsewhere to stop things looking like they will (or actually) fall apart. Turning a good solid and unique in the UK ride into a cheap gimmick it wasn't designed to be and no doubt ballsing up the operation of it in the process. It would be the sort of decision that would make me want to find the person who made it, grab him by the lapels and shake him hard until he saw sense. It is the dumbest thing the park could even consider, so clearly it will defiantly happen, as that is the way of Merlin the world. I really like the idea of an area of the park being designed for use with the snoozebox as an entertainment 'village', but am unsure they'd want drunkards wandering round areas with rides in late at night!
