TPGG reacted to coasterverse in Hyperia Speculation and Construction ThreadJust seems that every few months there's yet another drama with either Taylor or Sarah. The very earliest one I can remember was just them being rude at IAAPA - pretty sure it was something about how B&M didn't want to engage in conversation with them (which is justified considering IAAPA is an industry conference and are therefore there to gain business, not to ponder to the needs of enthusiasts), as well as them pushing to the front of crowds to get footage for their YouTube channel.
Here are some tweets from the director of comms taking about it:
Another one is that after the tragic incident at Icon Park, they updated the tags on their Icon Park videos to include tags such as 'Icon Park Accident' and 'Icon Park Accident Video' etc to drive more traffic to their content... obviously a very disgusting thing to profit off of such a tragedy.
The third thing I can think of right now is that they did a paid promotion for a payday loan company with ridiculous APR levels (I think it was like 1000% or 10,000%?), something which is actually illegal in the UK, but granted not illegal in the states - just pretty immoral to accept money from a company whos profit comes from the less fortunate.
Incidents like the above tend to happen every couple of months, so just keep an eye out - I'm sure they're due another one pretty soon.

TPGG reacted to Benin in Europa ParkDepends again on the options.
Closest airport is Baden Baden. Further afield Basel or Stuttgart.
I've not gotten the train to the park but they recently announced a fast train to nearby Ringsheim. Alternatively hire car or lots of changes or expensive taxi.

TPGG reacted to Matt 236 in Europa ParkNot gonna lie, training it to the park is not as straight forward as some places such as Efteling and Phantasialand. But it is doable if you know what you’re doing and don’t go on the express.
You can get a bus to Basel railway station and then get connecting trains to Offenbach, then Ringsheim. Then get the park shuttle bus from there. But that may have changed from when I did it a few years ago.

TPGG reacted to Benin in Europa ParkStayed on site and the hotels are of good quality. Actually pay for what you get (though it is annoying that you have to add tickets on top of it as well). They are popular too but might be that the cheaper one (El Anduluz) is sold out.
Depends what you're after end of day. But as mentioned there are lots of b&bs around.

TPGG reacted to Matt 236 in Europa ParkI’ve only ever stayed off-site, but there are plenty of options throughout the village of Rust. Ranging from hotels, B&Bs and guesthouses. Most of which are 15 minutes or less walking distance from the park. Sites like booking.com and Expedia are worth looking at.
M with tickets they usually sell them as one or two day tickets.

TPGG reacted to coasterverse in Fright Nights 2022I think Fright Nights is always pretty busy to be honest, but your best bet is definitely some time during the week. Although with the extended park hours allowing people to travel down after work and still enjoy the event, being there of a weekend is usually just all-out hell even on a non-event day let alone Fright Nights.
Definitely try to go down mid-week, that way you should be able to avoid families - but just remember that it will pretty much always be busy at a Fright Nights... just a bit less busy during the week.

TPGG reacted to Cal in Fright Nights 2022From experience, the first Sunday and Friday are usually the best days to go for low crowds

TPGG reacted to JoshC. in Plopsaland de PanneAnother cool video:
If you look round the 2:20 mark, you see that the cars get an induced spin on the first launch track section, and it's quite a starting spin!
Time Traveller at Silver Dollar City has this as it leaves its station (into a vertical drop), and apparently these Xtreme Spinning Coasters are capable of having this induced spin on any straight sections. Something to remember in case any more of these rides pop up I guess

TPGG reacted to JoshC. in Plopsaland de PanneBobbejaanland is bit rubbish (although it's 6 years since I visited, so can't comment on Fury), although it's convenience within that trip is hard to deny.
Walibi Holland isn't too much further away from anything you're doing really, and with the likes of Untamed, Lost Gravity and Goliath, you get a huge bump in quality. Another one worth looking at is Bellewaerde - not huge and no must-do big rides, but a nice little park with a nice zoo to at least do once at some point, and again, not far from that route.
In any case, that's still a very solid trip with some very good parks and rides. Just down to taste (and cred counting if that's what you're into) whether you include or ignore the likes of Bobb, WalHol and Belle.
As a little aside: that's a bit of a weird route for a road trip, no? How are you planning on getting to/from mainland Europe? If you're getting ferry/tunnel, you end up having a long drive from Germany back there.. Might be worth considering turning it into a loop to make the drive times smaller?

On a high speed roller coaster a loose object could be very serious, if that phone gets dropped it could seriously injure someone and it could completely damage the park's credibility and reputation. Some rules you can bend, but not enforcing this rule in particular could end in complete disaster.
-
TPGG reacted to JoshC. in Canada Creek Railway: The Bear HuntThe Farm is still owned by the park.
The land area is now much smaller than before as it was 'permanently flooded' when the park infilled new islands.
The area is now used by Landscaping (for cultivating plants) and by Waste Management (for managing waste).

TPGG reacted to pluk in Chessington MusicWhat?
Having English spoken in an accent in keeping with the area the ride is themed to isn't remotely racist. So are we saying the 'seet back and hold tight, thees is a bumpy ride' in a Mexican accent is racist on the Mexican themed rattlesnake?
Should everything only be in the Queens English, banishing accents? Mental.
I don't think you understand racism.
