  1. Agree about Platform 15 - in daylight (and dark) it isn't scary but to start with do it when it is light. Try them all if you can - if you get scared then try to find humour in the situation - this is what I did when I first did Saw Alive (on my own) - was bricking it but coped by laughing my way through it - once you've done one or two you will probably find them more of a laugh than scary. They can be quite jumpy at times - I was fine the first 2 times I did Big Top but on my last go I did jump a couple of times and ran out at the end but I was laughing and wasn't about to have a heart attack.
  2. That is a damn good bargain which I would have got had I not got my MAP last month - isn't that the same price as gate price?
  3. UnLICK her bra?! lol! Well yeah - on Rush if your chest area is THAT big all I imagine you would need to do would be to whop them over the lap bar - could be an uncomfortable ride mind you
  4. Well if she couldn't fit on Rush because of her chest then all I'm saying is they must hang extremely low Plenty of people can't get on certain rides because of size restrictions and have to exit the ride (not walk through the queue line!) - she obviously wasn't that traumatised by the event because she went off to the press.

Haven't read this thread for a while now - I hate reading about pets who have passed away - it's so sad because they are part of the family and the loss is massive. One of my foster cats was taken ill at the beginning of Feb - she had numerous health problems which wanted me adopting her. She had to be put to sleep which upset me so much - only 18 months before that my own cat had died and I was still grieving for him - at least I got a chance to say goodbye to my foster cat - it's frustrating but I don't have the ashes for either cat due to mess ups along the way. I went ahead and adopted my other foster cat and she is adorable - one of her favourite places to sleep is in my wardrobe. I'm also currently looking after a cat for a friendThe white cat is the one that died and the tabby cat is now mine This was my ginger ninja would died following a cat fight 2 years agoAnd this one is the cat I'm looking after who likes to kip on my back
  6. Really glad I came along to this (thanks to Roodie for helping with my anxiety and for the lift) - my first meet in almost 3 years and was great to see everyone. Had such a laugh - and you lot that did FIA are braver than me - the state of some of you when you came out .
  7. Definitely NOT Stealth eh?
  8. Completely bricking it but am 90% sure I will be coming to this - it's been nearly 3 years since my last meet so it would be fab to see everyone again and of course meet new people. Really anxious but hoping that will ease off
  9. My order goes - Saw, Swarm, Stealth, Colossus then Inferno

Couldn't have put it better myself! In all seriousness, I have a mild clown phobia - it used to be a lot worse than it is now and I've read some articles about this clown craze thing and some of them looking terrifying. It seems to be becoming more a thing over here and I don't like it. I had to walk to the shop in the dark last night and was mainly scared I would come across one of the freaky looking things. I get that Halloween is just around the corner and I'm all for people having fun but this is a tad extreme - jumping out on people etc - lots of people hate clowns and the shock of it could give someone a heart attack (might sound extreme but ya never know). I did see a funny video earlier on FB of someone that saw one who was blocking his way home so he confronted the "clown" and said clown bricked it and ran away.

Oh blimey- ouch! Maybe lay off the piggy backs when you're pickled
  12. Wasn't it someone that was stuck on the ride that tweeted that she was left upside down for X amount of time - I mean really - how can you confuse being on a lift hill to being upside down. Such a non story yet you have people outraged by it - does my nut in

Took that pic last Monday - that's a bit ol' bit of land they are flattening out You think Falls is wet? I went on Raft Racers and got so drenched that my bottom half didn't fully dry until I got home - thankfully it was sunny but I was walking around like a penguin for most of the day
  14. Oooer - it's like Nemesis Infernos rocket LUNCH all over again
  15. Hmmm new destination eh? Can't say I'm surprised but it will be nice if they improve the 2nd sequence. Bag room was closed again on Monday though it was dead - main gates were shut so we went through fast track entrance - there was only about 6 of us in the pre show then we merged with a bigger group before boarding. 4th ride was better than the last go and I could actually hear the audio this time. The live actor part seemed more intense which was nice and the reactions of some of the other people were brilliant. Still enjoy it but don't think I would queue more than half an hour(ish)
  16. I don't think you'll be the only one annoyed as there must be people who had planned a visit Tues-Thurs. Fright Nights isn't to everyones taste but it is the parks busiest time of year so I guess if it means they will be fully prepared during the close days for when FN starts then they might get less complaints from the GP. You could always watch some POVs of....stealth?!!! Damn this has made me realise that once Fright Nights are over, the closed season will fast approach - argh!
  17. Oh dear Lord - those dolls seriously freaked me out. I used to be terrified of clowns but am ok with them now. What would seriously creep me out though - is if there was a maze (don't know how it could be done) but based around the movie Sinister - that demon thing, whatever the hell he is terrifies me

I used to drink tea all the time in my teens (couldn't even stand the smell of coffee) and I would put 5 spoons of sugar in - when you get to the end of the drink its just like syrup sat there so I cut it back to 2 or 3 and you can't really taste the difference - probably because with 5 spoons it doesn't all dissolve. And I wonder why I've had so many fillings
  19. To be honest, for me personally I find it quite difficult judging the time of certain queues - I remember once queuing for Swarm and thinking "Oh it isn't too bad" and joined the queue - didn't realise that they had the flaming extended queue open which was a pain in the butt. When I went on DBGT the second and third time the queue board did look fairly accurate but after having our pic taken and bothering the person in the shop the time just flew (and we were definitely on the ride before the stated time). The queue does wind around a lot but you can see a lot of it standing outside. What I did on my first go was asked the people outside when it was opening - they said they didn't know so I had a gander in the shop and asked them and they said midday so my friend and I just hung around the entrance to it from about 11.30 - and once it opened the queue was pretty big so its worth just waiting about a bit. The bag drop was shut when I last went - thought it a bit odd at first but as long as you don't have anything bulky it doesn't really matter. Yeah Saw does have a shop in the queue but I think ive only seen it open a couple of times. Hope you have a great day - what I would do is have a look around DBGT to see if there is movement from staff, ask if they have a rough idea of opening (and then ask shop staff) then go to Saw and come back if you have time (which you probably will). Argh I would hate to lose a phone on a ride although I don't take my current phone on, my tiny little old phone I used to always keep in my zip up jacket pocket - though to be fair if I lost it it was a piece of crud anyway. I did lose a hairband on Colossus though - was a bit miffed - weird thing is I've worn hairbands/headbands (the things you use to keep yer fringe out of your eyes) on Stealth and its never come off. Very odd!
  20. I REALLY need to get to Blackpool in 2018. Looks really good!

Oh Gawd - bikes - jeez. Generally I am ok on them (I can even ride without stabilizers now!) but my younger sister used to always fall off, or end up crashing into something - I'm not quite sure how or why but I used to get very anxious going out on bike rides with her. I had an incident a few years ago now - was cycling into town going very fast down a quiet road, turned into a public carpark which, back then was gravel - thought to myself "hmmm, should probably slow down" so I stupidly slammed on the brakes - went flying head first over the handlebars. Got up (first checked to see if anyone saw), then had to put my bike back in the right position as the wheels were a bit skewed, cried and realised my knee was in agony and I had grazed both hands. Hobbled home in tears and spent he next few days walking like an 80 year old thanks to chronic knee pain
  22. Yes there are 2 different VR parts and the bit in between you do walk a little bit (don't want to type too much). Regarding queue time boards, I've only been on DBGT 3 times - first time we were first in, second and third time we queue for about 20 mins less than it stated - but obviously this varies as with every ride - queue boards can't be 100 per cent accurate. Yes the queue is outside but lots of it under shelter, and you have 2 photo points (if they are open) which makes things a bit more interesting (if you're easily pleased like me!) - they have the obligatory shop where you can purchase a bottle of water for a mere £50 aswell . I love listening the the music in the queue - the music is fantastic! Oh lord - I remember going on Space Mountain back in 2000 and was wondering where to put my bag - was shocked I had to take it on and thought I'd lose it but I was squashed in so tight it wasn't going anywhere - still find it odd though - wonder how many people have lost bags/loose change/phones etc on that ride
