This must be a massive blow for them. I honestly wish them a swift recovery especially out of all things going on with them ATM.
Then make sure you head down to the park for opening day!

I thought storm Dennis wasn't allowed into Europe post brexit.

I have strong confidence in my sources.
As said already the project has already been discussed over here. https://coasterforce.com/forums/threads/thorpe-park-what-could-the-future-hold.42699/page-9

I'm sure someones has suggested it before, but I think this whole 'System Initialising', and glitch, relates to the start of the marketing campaign for a new attraction for 2021, and the park may be using Stealth as part of the campaign. Similar to how the park marketed LC12/The Swarm with the barriers they set up under Stealth's launch/top hat.
This is just speculation, but I think the system initialising may be the new 'ride system'/theme beginning to take over the park by glitching. The park may incorporate Stealth somehow as it's very near to the potential new island where we may have seen land clearing beginning already, and as we all know they may connect the islands together through the 'Secret Garden'/under Stealth's launch. I'd love to see small hints dotted around the park this season to this 'glitch' starting to take over such as new music/sound, imagine the Stealth launch countdown audio slightly modified to hint at something. Potentially some new small themeing elements such as the billboards we saw for LC12. etc
Spoiler alert: This marketing campaign has nothing to do with 2021.

Apologies @Marc for linking a competitor forum.

Looks good. I really like how passionate John is about his job. Also loving the easter eggs.
Only concerns from me are the look of lack of legroom and the ride vehicle itself, the manufacturer isn't speaking like its been smooth sailing.

Now I know this is said to death to the point even I am tired of it, but this is where I think an RMC would do wonders for Thorpe.
The enthusiasts would absolutely descend on Thorpe and the traction the park would get in the European enthusiast community could very well be big. When I was at Walibi, I encountered many enthusiasts who had travelled from all over the continent to ride Untamed. Hell some even came from America to ride it. Wildfire at Kolmarden was the same story. Enthusiasts from all over have made that trip to the middle of nowhere in Sweden just to ride it. So Thorpe to me would be wise to cash in on the overwhelming popularity RMC has gained in recent times. They may have to act on that soon however before the popularity and hype surrounding RMC dwindles and they miss the boat.
I know the enthusiast community is a drop in the ocean compared to the general public, however the general public just want good rides as well which an RMC would almost certainly deliver. Would an RMC boost the gate massively in regards to the GP?? Only time would tell. That's the calculated risk you have to take in buisness sometimes. A good ride will almost always capture the public's imagination.
I could sit here and talk about why an RMC makes sense to Thorpe because they usually are amazing rides until the cows come home, but I find it more crucial at this stage that it's pointed out why it makes sense buisness wise.
In a recent talk with Merlin's CFO, she said that even the Wickerman at Alton Towers hadn't succeeded financially. Yes families go and enjoy the ride, but its still seen as a one and done. Remember the enthusiast market is still very much a niche, and so would the millions spent on an RMC payoff? Probably not, hence the need for a hotel and secondary attraction first to make it a resort.
Investments at the end of the day are a risk, just like Derren Brown.

That would 100 percent confirm to me that Thorpe is indeed bottom of the food chain when it comes to the companies priorities. I maintain that if they don't want to give Thorpe the money it needs to get itself back on track, just sell the damn place. I know that's not happening any time soon but when even the general public are waking up and smelling the coffee as well as the so called "entitled" enthusiasts, it's game over.
I don't think asking for the SBNO rides to finally get removed and space developed is too much to ask. It's hardly asking them to build an expedition everest level of detail attraction.
In terms of a new coaster, Alton Towers has now been given 2 (3 if you include the Galactica overlay) major coasters since Thorpe last had one. So I agree, a new coaster at Thorpe is really not too much to ask either. Unless the future of the park is indeed just cheap short term tat and IP driven summer events.
Alton has the family market. Families = ££££££££
Thorpe has the teen + annual pass + enthusiast market = Not wanting to spend money.
Alton Towers is also a household name whereas Thorpe perhaps not everyone knows the brand therefore ofc they will favour Alton

Maybe they are referring to Alton/Legoland/Chessie (parks that are actually getting something decent this year?)
If Thorpe were getting anything at all we probably would of heard about it by now. Unless they were referring to the shameless aroma prime advert?
Still a month till park opening, anything can happen.

Just remember that the dollar used to be 2 to the pound.

Blimey, we'd be lucky!
Looks like we're getting some sort of new technology/dark based attraction for this year. Another short term indoor attraction? Clearly with the season opening being a little over a month away, we will see Thorpe ramping up the marketing for this. Keen to see a Jack Silkstone over-analysis video of this image like Matt said 😂
Maybe this could actually be a highly themed immersive attraction if there is a strong IP involved. I'm hoping more Living Nightmare standards of theming than Angry Birds. Realistically it is going to be another couple years of short term investment, but hopefully all will be worth it soon. RMC 2022? Or who knows this could just be another flop of an attraction that we will be talking about being replaced in a years time! Really excited to see what 2020 brings at Thorpe now
Who is this person and why does he have so many posts.....

So whats everyone's guesses then, interested to see if you can get it from this pic?
-
I guess it will just be as a result of feedback / KPI reporting.
I'm pretty sure most with a standard ticket would suggest that their main downside was not being able to repeat their favourite mazes again.
-
I think me and @Marc found the best way to do it when we went. Get there at opening, did all attractions / shows and then buy a £5 fast track for the Hayride which looked to have a 60min+ wait, the others all took 20mins max. With a capacity of 6000, queues move at a respectable speed to get everything done in one night with time to spare to soak up the atmosphere.

Hearing rumors that Thorpe have changed the beyond vertical drop on Saw into a Spiral turn to promote the new Saw film Spiral in cinemas May.

It can’t make it any worse - only better. The current readers are not the best and they really struggle to read barcodes when it’s sunny (ok that’s not too often!) if the majority book in advance and ANPR opens the barrier automatically, where the others can just swipe a contactless card at the barrier it will only be a vast improvement on what’s there now.
Lets hope its like the Two rivers car park. That system seems to work well.

It's good but it lacks a Nemesis Inferno.
