I don't think it justifies 5 moaning posts in the last few hours. Yes, Thorpe has mucked up. But why not be patient and just wait and enjoy the other rides Thorpe has to offer rather than coming to a forum to complain about an unfinished product that when finished will probably make us glad we waited. There is so much new technology here within this ride, which could be up there within the top 10 dark rides in the world, that I'm more than happy to wait for a product that's 100% done rather than a yeah it was ok 65%..

I disagree. The numbers logic makes sense but wouldn't Thorpe want group members getting different experiences so that friends can go "Well I got this" and so on increasing the want for ride re-rideability. Hopefully they will be random.

Now lets just look at it this way, yes they have delayed opening but what is the cause. Fingers crossed it's something minor like headset glitches and rehersals to put on a great show rather than oh crap the train won't fit in place, ok who mucked up with the plans? In other news the Merlin magic van was outside Jewsons collecting a delivery this morning, that may just indicate to some of you that we are quite possibly looking at more than a week or twos delays. If I'm honest I'm hoping for a FN opening right now to add to the tension and atmosphere as I'm certainly in no rush to buy my Annual pass.... On that note when is the next TP meet taking place?

Interesting what were you expecting bodies to be cut up left right and centre remember they had to keep it rated 12. I think that the theme / ride experience were bloody good.

Today at work I got the chance to use the Vive. This ride will be 10/10 for immersion with that piece of kit. However I don't think it will be through a walking section as the wires are a very large tripping hazard.

The one thing I don't understand tho is when did it become a merlin trend to open rides 2 months into the season =/. It seems to be a new and reoccurring theme.

I see this as some sort of get out clause for the ride not opening on time.

Are you a local resident? All big projects / building developments have these types of meetings. They are not aimed at the park go-er but the old local residents who like to complain.
