  1. Yes. On a 10 inversion coaster. What did you expect?
  2. For some reason this makes me laugh every time.
  3. Miniland was only made better by the Duckzilla sighting.
  4. Just seen there's an Angry Birds movie to be released next year...and once you're used to the games, the characters do look rather tacky. Anyone want to comment on this?

Something I bought on Steam the other day: Basically an expansion to Pinball FX2 with a Portal twist. Features quotes from both games and also includes GLaDOS, Wheatley, Atlas and P-Body. It's pretty much a Portal test chamber combined with a basic pinball table, as you guide Chel (the player's character in the games) towards the far end of the table. Losing a ball means going back a spot. Haven't even got as far as the third stage...but already it's pretty addicting!
  6. Dino Safari has to go anyway. I've seen the poor thing suffer with my own eyes. I've heard that the ride hardware is designed to be used indoors, which is why the cars pack up whenever it rains. Still, it would be a shame to see it go, considering it's the queue audio that gets me all the time. Heck - even when I'm checking the toilet block I always hear Johnny Thunder's excited remarks; "Kilroy! I've discovered a massive volcano in the distance...and it's about to blow!" But to be honest, I think Adventure Land does need to fit in with Atlantis Submarine Voyage a lot more (with the exception of the hotel)...and with S.Q.U.I.D Surfer around the corner, it's already had a start.
  7. ...or they can just sue the lying scumbags.
  8. Looking at a few posts on Facebook, I think the end really is imminent for The Simpsons. - Bart is finally going to be killed by Sideshow Bob in this year's Halloween episode. - Homer and Marge are going to split up. I dread to think what's next to be announced...
  9. Great. The moment the newspapers seem to cut the bullsh*t being put online...The Guardian starts it all over again!!! Why do these guys have to do this to a single theme park just trying to recover from an incident that should never have happened?!
  10. Also (this is probably the main reason why it has its theme), Alton Towers have always been about "Making Britain Happy"...so I really can't see them losing this theme either. It always gives my spirits a lift too! The thought of the ride, its theme and the 'HA-HA-HA' melody just pops into my head...and I'm sure my heart starts to pick up the pace. The Smiler for me has always been a great memory, especially from my first time on it. And now that we're currently in a sticky situation that's yet to be resolved, I can only keep smiling, let the important things happen first and wait for the good times to return.
  11. Tbh chlorine is all I ever get whenever I ride it.
  12. ^ Hmmm? A design update? This can only mean one thing - IMPROVEMENTS! Liking the sound of this!
  13. MOAR COLOUR! (Theme Park Guide)
  14. That's a tricky one. Of course it would be a good idea to ride Shambhala first to beat the queues...but then again it means you have to walk all the way to the other end of the park...and then back again for more rides. Do whatever you wish, but I'd personally do Furius Baco to start off, considering it's the first ride you see upon entering. (Not counting Dragon Khan and Shambhala which you can see from miles away! )

Must admit I've been unable to tear myself away from Worms 3 lately.
  16. Yes. Forgot to mention that The Beginning opens at 9:30, giving access to The BIG Shop and LEGO Star Wars. Land of the Vikings and Imagination Centre don't open til 10:00.
  17. Hotel guests can have early access to Atlantis Submarine Voyage and Dino Safari from 9:30, but regardless of package the rest of the park still opens at 10:00.
  18. This is now just far too much. Can't the newspapers cut the bullsh*t blasting out their backsides and the law firms lay off...and just leave Alton Towers to get on with the investigation? Because I reckon this mess will be cleared up much quicker if it weren't for any of this scam.

...and then on the other end of the stick we have a bunch of 10-12 year olds who think they're so hard just because they play COD. Really can't stand those sort of people.
  20. I think the most likely coaster that could possibly have a similar incident to The Smiler is TH13TEEN, considering how trimmed the thing is. Nemesis, Air and Oblivion are pretty unlikely, as they have no trim brakes or MCBR anywhere in the layout. I'm not speculating too much into this, so we can only let HSE do whatever they have to do.
  21. ^ I actually didn't find that myself. Zach posted that earlier in AT General Discussion.
  22. That does explain a lot! When I went on Wednesday, during lunch it was as if they were just repeatedly drilling in the exact same spot...when they were actually digging out the building outline (I assume).
  23. Clearly your brother has only heard of the anti-social life.
