The Colossus audio sounds awful... https://www.facebook.com/thorpeparkmania/videos/vb.283706330623/10156204252015624/?type=3&theater

Agreed, it has run very well this season. Also, all scaffolding has been removed now. (Image from UK theme parks) Hopefully it'll open this weekend!

Samurai is back together again! (Image from UK theme parks) Could it open this weekend?

Yay, Vortex seems to run really well after it's been closed a while as well! Hoping it'll be ready for Sunday
  7. Cal replied to Phill's topic in General Discussion
Thanks Lew, is Vortex still covered in scaffolding?
  8. Cal replied to Artie's topic in The Past
She has indeed, hopefully it'll make it to the end of the season again!

Glad the park music has changed for Fright Nights this year, I loved some of the older stuff. Can't wait to hear it.

Went the same day last year and all rides were walk on from 6, and mazes were around half an hour. It was raining all night though so will probably be slightly busier this year
  11. That track looks gorgeous

I'm there the 11th. Can't wait. Hopefully it won't be tipping it down all night like last year.

Don't know if this was aimed at me, or a joke or whatever. The fact Vortex is closed hasn't put me off visiting at all, I just thought that it was worth mentioning that it won't be available for at the least the first few nights of Fright Nights.
  14. That new box now has a padlock over it, so I doubt it'll constantly be in use. My bet is that when it breaks down, the ride will need to be reset from that box to confirm the track has been looked at? Can't think of what else it could be.

Haven't seen Vortex with this amount of scaffolding before, looks like we won't be riding it in the dark this weekend (Image from theme park incorporated)

Only just started being constructed or nearly completed?

I did Altons mazes in 2012 and only really enjoyed COF, thought the mazes were no where near as intense as Thorpes are. Odd but there must be a reason for it.

This picture shows the water effect as well...
  19. Cal replied to Harry's topic in General Discussion
What season did the water tower actually stop working? And does anyone know why, was it just that it broke or it just stopped when the fire effect stopped?
  20. The website has also been updated, and if you complete 7 challenges you will be entered into a competition to win the following prizes... EDIT: Edwin beat me to it

    Still in pieces.

Park tends to open at about half 9, and rides will open as soon as they are ready.
  23. Hahahahaa. Just because someone has a different opinion to you doesn't mean they have to have there 'heads tested'

Hahahahaha. Basic. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Only going to do a top 5 as I haven't done that many coasters, and thought I'd do one before I go to Florida next month to compare it 1) Nemesis - It's Nemesis. 2) Oblivion - So short I know but the drop is amazing. 3) Nemesis Inferno - The most re-rideable coaster, and every time I go it seems to get better and better. Oh, and mist. 4) Colossus - Don't find Colossus rough really, love the layout. 5) Saw/Stealth - Depends if Saw is running well or not for which one I prefer. I love Saw when you get a good car. Seems more forceful this season as well. Flats 1) Slammer - It's unique. Nothing better than Slamming forwards <3 2) Detonator - The drop. The music. Love it. 3) Rush/Vortex - Love them both. Rush is a lot better when you're on the good swing, and Vortex is amazing when it's running well (which it has been a lot this season)
