  1. Was thinking the same as you, I visited the same day as you last year the 13th of October and it was great, pretty much walk on queues for the rides all day and no queue above 30 minutes for all the mazes. I'm not sure if this was purely because of the weather though? I'm thinking the first weekend might be a bit busier because it's the first weekend it's on so I might go on the 19th of October. I'm not expecting it to be like last year but I think it won't be as busy.
  2. Indeed it does, opposite Mr Monkeys Banana ride. Sent from my iPhone 5S using Tapatalk

They definitely haven't, I rode on the far end. I've never seen this and only recently I have heard this. Sent from my iPhone 5S using Tapatalk

    Logger's Leap

I remember it doing similar towards the end of last season as well. At fright nights last year it was doing the same thing, breaking down pretty much every day and getting evaced. Towards the end of fright nights, at 11 o clock I got stuck on it and ended up getting evaced and didn't open till the next day. Sent from my iPhone 5S using Tapatalk

    Fright Nights 2014

I went to Tullys a couple of years ago, thought the mazes at Thorpe Park were a lot better. For pretty much the same price (from what I remember) at thorpe you are also getting all the rides from 10-9, and Tullys you only get each maze once. There's not a lot else to do at Tullys either and if you do want to do anything else you'll have to pay extra for it. I think Thorpe is defiantly better value for money. Fright Nights 2014

I like the sound of what they're doing with Angry birds land, removing the 'themeing' and adding in new horror themeing. I'm guessing they will change the audio as well. Can't wait to see what they do with it, and of course the new maze.

    Slammer

If that is why it was closed last year, I don't understand why they seem to have a much longer gap between cycles and it opening later etc..

    Slammer

At first they weren't batching while the ride was in operation which I thought was odd, as they could of saved so much time. But later on in the day they were batching while it was in operation, and then when everyone had exited they waited around 2-3 minutes before they actually opened the air gates.

    Slammer

I think it's still meant to open for normal time, when I went it was open for normal time anyway? How long did the checks last by the way? I have only heard that it closes for checks around 2:30 then opens again after around 10 minutes

I'm in Like James said, if I'm not there (probably because I've forgotten, just start without me
  12. I don't get why they aren't sticking to it though? Earlier on this year a man was queue jumping on Vortex, luckily the host saw him and shouted out that he had to go to the back of the queue line. In some queue lines they have signs saying queue jumping may lead to being kicked out the park, so why don't they do this? I asked a member of staff later that day and she said there is zero tolerance with queue jumpers and they will get escorted from the park.

    The Smiler

Funnily enough I saw this on Facebook not so long ago. I guess it just depends how busy the fast track queue is on the day. If you do it let me know how many times you managed to do it, I'd be interested to know.

    Fright Nights 2014

I didn't think the buses ran on summer nights? At least that's what thorpe are telling people anyway?
  15. I think all tickets are non refundable but I think you can change the dates on them for a 5pound fee
  16. I don't know but I could only guess that if you buy a friends and family ticket for him he'd be aloud in with you (it's the same with Alton Towers) but if he buys an ordinary ticket online or at the gate, I doubt they will let you.
  17. Coasters for me is a hard one, but I'd have to say B&M because of my favorite coaster Nemesis, I also love Oblivion and of course Inferno Intamin is my second because of rides like Colossus and Stealth. B&M always seems to be the most reliable manufacturer (except Air) and there rides always seems to be smoother, For flats I'd have to say S&S because of Slammer and Rush. I know they aren't the most reliable or most comfy but they are just my favorite.
  18. Looks very similar to the CoasterCrazy app on mobiles, which I dislike.
  19. Went to the Brighton pier for a bit today as I was in Brighton anyway and ended up having a good time. When we got there Air Race, The Booster, Turbo coaster, Crazy mouse, Helter Skelter, Carousel were all closed due to adverse weather conditions. As soon as we walked up to the Booster, they were just about to open it so we thought we might as well buy wristbands which were only £10 because of ride closures. We then got on the Booster for my first time, and it was awesome, I loved the point when you go past the top and then your car thing spins, the feeling was awesome. Looking around at the top while they unload and load people is also nice, shame the cycle is soo short though! When we were at the top we could see air race testing, so then we went to that. Air race was awesome! The restraints were comfy and on my last ride I counted the inversions, 18! We then went for lunch and some shopping and came back later. None of the other closed rides had opened, but I wasn't really bothered, I would of liked to do the wild mouse but that doesn't matter too much. The manager said because of the wind it would just get stuck halfway through the ride. It was funny seeing the Carousel moving on it's own because of the wind! Air race did have a few problems but it was only due to the weather, they need to be lined up straight before the ride can start or for the restraints to release and the wind was moving them, so a member of staff had to come and stop them swinging or make them straight in order for it too work. In total we did 3x Air race, 2x Galaxia, 1x The booster, 2x Twister, 4x Wild River, 2x Dodgems, 1x Horror Hotel, 1x Waltzers. Bearing in mind that these rides range from £3 - £5 each, £10 for the whole day is really good value. There was no queues yesterday really, except from the booster and the horror hotel. I wouldn't recommend queuing for the horror hotel (it was awful) Everything else we just waited for the cycle to finish and we were on the next ride!
  20. The wristband offer is on for the whole of the summer holidays
  21. I was about to say I think I've seen similar ones at Thorpe park in the dome. I think it's a good thing to be honest. I wouldn't call it money making, think about the amount of people in the park, if they were free everyone would probably be trying to charge there phones even if they're not dead, I doubt many places let you charge your phones for free.

    Colossus

Exactly the same for me like 2 weeks ago, my friend agreed with me as well. Defiantly will be riding at the front more!
  23. Good that testing has started again! Toward the end of last month the lift cable had to be replaced, no idea why. Hopefully it will open very soon! http://www.pixelsattheparks.com/2014/07/20/falcons-fury-at-busch-gardens-tampa-cable-replacement-photo-update-from-7192014/
  24. They did this last year with Vortex, but it was for everyone not just hotel guests. Shame it's only hotel guests now. Hopefully it's Rush or Vortex
  25. Found a video of Vattenskidjon, never seen anything like it before, looks like a lot of fun. Would love somewhere in the UK to get something similar but can't see that happening!
