    Guess who's back.......
  2. You got that from their press release, here: "A team of specially-trained scare actors is being recruited to deliver what will undoubtedly be the UK’s premier Halloween event – near London, without the need to go to Florida"
  3. I have also been wondering about this... Especially after this little comment they made in response somebody writing the 4D cinema off... Also ScareTour were correct about everything except their Dead Silence prediction, so could this still be in the pipeline? I won't be disappointed if nothing more is revealed, but I have been wondering...
  4. I agree that everything should be working 100% of the time, but I've been really impressed this year with Thorpe's upkeep & maintenance. It's far from perfect (Saw's queue audio is a disgrace for example), but it's infinitely better than it was a couple of years ago, and things are definitely on the up. I bet if you give them another week or so they'll have Stealth's launch smoke back up and running again. I imagine it is quite low on the list of priorities at the moment.
  5. ^ On Tuesday they were putting out announcements around the park saying that the Smiler had no queue. We rode 4 times, and on 3 of those the line started about half way through the indoor queue.
  6. I must admit I would normally avoid the water rides at night, although Benin, Rumba does sound pretty cool in the dark! Is this likely to be because they don't attract queues at night? (sorry, I don't know if they do or not!)
  7. I was there yesterday too! It was so quiet during the afternoon, queues of 0-10 mins! After riding it 4 times in a row, we had to move on. Riding the Smiler is very hard work. I'd definitely say it is much rougher now that it was when it opened.
  8. http://www.thorpepark.com/frightnights/ has had an update!! the plot Join a deranged film director as he takes over THORPE PARK to bring some of your favourite horror movies to life in the UK’s premier Halloween event. Experience terrifyingly entertaining horror attractions, and the best thrill rides this side of the Atlantic, long into the dead of night - on selected dates in October and November. Watch the trailer... go on... it’s not like we’ll be watching you back... much... The trailer is greyed out and marked 'coming soon'. Thorpe's main site has also been given a new run-down cinema look! <3
  9. Isn't there a facade though? I don't think we'll even be able to see the Ex10 logos from the public areas And this pic appears to show that horrific vinyl ripped off the wall already!
  10. ^ Oh brilliant! I was disappointed in Merlin for not selling these but it looks like they are!
  11. ^^ thanks for the update! Speakers outside My Bloody Valentine is a definite improvement already - Ex10's queue was silent as far as I remember. There wasn't any ambient lighting around there either, would be nice to have some of that as well. The work on Asylum is interesting. EXCITE!!
  12. But it's not just enthusiasts who complain is it! Even if they don't voice their opinion on forums or to guest services all the time that doesn't necessarily mean they're fine with it, just that they probably don't care enough to bother with doing anything about it. Chances are the massively inflated, slow-moving queues have still made an impact on their day. Come on Marc, you have got to admit that Thorpe do oversell Fastrack on some peak days, and it makes queueing a nightmare. Tbh if complaints are happening at all then a problem must exist.
  13. Do they? Or do they simply copy and paste a generic corporate reply and carry on regardless? Fastrack has been a problem for years. Complaints have been made for years. Nothing's changed for years.
  14. Sorry I'm not very knowledgeable on things like this, but could the 4D cinema just be where the actor auditions were held? I'd like to think they're doing something with it though
  15. I get what Mccy is saying (and thanks for sharing! Didn't know that!) , but that doesn't mean the system is fine does it? It doesn't matter who updates what, you can't get away from the fact that queue times are still constantly wrong on the boards, which means Fastrack is being falsely advertised.
  16. This will be me tomorrow morning waiting for GTA V to arrive. And if it doesn't arrive tomorrow........ This will be me at the Post Office!
  17. ^ So normal day-to-day operations then. Fastrack sucks.
  18. LOL ALSO MENTIONS THAT SMILER IS ALSO SHUT NOW UNTIL WEDNESDAY LOL GERSTLAUR.
  19. Sounds fantastic! I do worry about how it's going to work though, same reasons as Josh. So we've got My Bloody Valentine in the Arena, Cabin in the Woods in Hellgate, Saw and Asylum (obviously) where they always are... Where is You're Next going to go?? Is this another scare zone?
  20. Saw Alive is tonight's big reveal.
  21. Theme UK have put a brilliant little update online! http://themeuk.net/blog/?p=4236 Image belongs to Theme UK, from HERE Looks like the Ex10 maze is getting an extension and possibly some external theming!
  22. Yeah it got taken down minutes after it was revealed. They've also ballsed up the day count as well, meaning there is now a 2 day wait until the next reveal. (EDIT: this has now reverted back to 1 day... They can't make up their mind!)
  23. I have parked on that concrete in the past, even on quiet days. Do they reserve that for disabled maybe?
