To be honest I'm hoping people don't buy them! I went in the busiest week last year and we were about at the 10min to front point in saw alive and waited 45-60mins because of a 4:1 fastrack ratio! Once the fastrack queue is there staff don't stop sending them through and more fastrackers keep coming! It was ridiculous! I hope they sort this out or I will be having harsh words on my behalf. Saying that I'm trying to visit when it's empty anyway, I am going on the preview night and the first two weekends to give minimal queues possible.
-
How much money do you think we are talking? I won't buy it though as I will visit a couple of times and I don't need the fastrack or the car parking just the entry. I doubt I will buy it but would be interesting to see the price. I'm not happy about the fastrack, the ratios were ridiculous anyway and this will make them even worse!

^^^Just to let you know, there is definitely at least one new maze as a replacement for the asylum this year ^^^

I can't say I think of sitting on a queueline fence as an offence(it rhymes!). Whilst smoking and queue jumping are dreadful I have sat on queueline fences many times for various reasons, being tired etc. I don't think the park should have strict action if people are sitting on the fences but a simple "please could you get down" would be accpetable. For things like smoking and queue jumping however my view is that people should be kicked out of the park straight away for making everyone's day worse.

I'm not an expert but my guess is most people will be holding out till fright nights. I would expect to be an average Sunday with queues for the coasters ranging up to around 60mins. The flat rides and water rides should not peak over 30/40mins. The Monday will then be quieter as it is a school day(I think) so I think queues will definately not reach over 60mins on the Monday but should range around 15-30mins for most of the day. Please don't rely on this and get advice from other people as I am probably wrong!

The bus service is always too relaxed as far as I'm aware. Whenever going on the bus in the mornings, we always have to wait for 30-45mins for the bus to fill despite the fact that it is meant to leave every 15-20mins. On the way home, they leave relatively quickly on a normal park day, however the bus travels slowly and twice I have got to the train station just as the train is leaving the platform. I think the efficiency and the frequency of the buses needs to be improved seeing as they charge almost £4 for 2ways.
-
The buses were defiantly running at about 10:20-10:30pm as there was a queue at the bus stop. Its good that they are still providing bus services to those who cannot make their way back by car.

It looks like some sort of mimic of a Ferris wheel with free spinning cars by the looks of it. Looks pretty unsafe though so not surprised by the accident. EDIT: I found the website for it, it's made by a ride company called wisdom rides which I've never heard of: http://www.wisdomrides.com/viewnew/33 They make several other rides which are pretty 'unique' let's say...
-
When I went to summer nights, there was a queue for the bus at about 10:20 when I was leaving and a saw a bus just leaving the station. So they definately should be running after park closing for at least 30mins on fright night

It looks awfully slow... wonder what the ride experience is like.

The thing is the last time I visited I didnt have an ap and just after 10am when we got there the lady called us through annual passes even though I didnt have one but my friend did. So I'm wondering if it applies to early access, worth a try though right?

Oops, sorry it came out really stressy but no need to be sorry! Everyone has their opinions and it was just my opinion and feelings towards the area

No please no. The arena is one of the ONLY sources of entertainment and shows in the whole of thorpe park. It needs to remain. I have seen event after event take place in the arena whether it's just the fanta challenge or full on BMX stunt shows. It's always popular and it's something fun and extra for people to enjoy separate from the rides. If thorpe want to implement reserve n ride they need to make more shows and entertainment to take people away from the rides and reduce the queues for the smaller rides which don't have reserve n ride. Despite a new dark ride gaining more guests, the places for entertainment need to be kept to give guests something extra to do. There are plenty of spaces for new rides like MHFS and the new island so removing the arena would be completely unecessary. Not to mention the arena is also an ideal place for a fright night maze, which currently holds MBV. There aren't many ideal places for fright night mazes but the arena is one of them. It's better to have the mazes in places like the arena than places like the asylum and cabin in the woods which have to take up the pathways (and Colossus queueline) for their own queueline. The arena is a very ideal place for new enetertainment(as is the asylum building) and I hope it stays for the entertainment purpose. I would much rather have a new ride in MHFS or in a currently unused spot than using something very ideal for entertainment. Anyway that's my view on it!
-
Not sure if this has been noticed but the announcement has been changed from 'please exit to the right hand side' to 'please exit to the far side'. This is much more clear as the right hand side depended on which side of the ride you were sitting on!

Wasn't sure where to post this so I guessed here would be an OK place. I am visiting on Wednesday and I know it will be super busy but annual pass holders get in 15mins early. I am getting an annual pass and am going with two friends, one has a pass but the other doesn't. For the 'early entrance' can my friend get in early with us even though he doesn't have an annual pass? Would be nice if he could to get on a ride first as it will be super busy.

I didn't like sunscream as such I just really enjoyed the entertainment as it gave guests something else to do apart from stand in queuelines. I hope thorpe do bring back entertainment in the arena and in other places just to take guests away from queueing all day. It would be nice to have the entertainment without it being overly advertised as the advertisement for sunscream made the park more busy than it would have been without it(better for thorpe but not for us !)

Chessington in peak season is just outrageous, I don't know how people put up with it. For a start the early ride time makes no sense, it should be BEFORE park opening from 9-10am before normal guests and allowed in. This would mean that it has no effect on normal guests and the system would work functionally. Unforunately, some stupid brain decided that it would be better to increase queue times at the emptiest point of the day by letting loads and I mean loads when it's online bookers aswell into fastrack lines. This means the staff just let fastrack through instead of having a care about the 2-3hour main queues lurking around the corner. I have not visited this peak summer because of what I have heard however visited at the beginning of July and despite the park not being too busy, the operations are still awful. They are slow, rides only have one staff when they should have at least two if not three. Amount of fastrack let in compared to main queue is a ridiculous ratio and this is not helped by the awful operations. The ride opening punctuality was also dreadful as the vampire team could easily see a 60minute queue waiting in Transylvania at about 10:15(luckily we were at the very front of it!). I can only ride vampire once a day at chessington because the queue times and operations for it are awful meaning I have to be the first in the queueline at the beginning of the day. Anyway, I'm blabbing but I think you get my point. They try to bring more and more guests in without adding ANY high throughput rides at all. The opening of a new ride just means that it gets 2hour queues like the rest instead of reducing queues at all. Can anyone tell me if ANY of chessingtons rides actually hit 1000pph. Not the theoretical throughput do any of them actually hit 1000pph when operating because I would be very suprised if they did.

From what I've heard the attractions are good but the way the whole park is run is terrible and the customer service and operations are awful. If the park atmosphere and operations are dreadful, it makes the park bad value for money despite how good the attractions are.Been reading through trip advisor again and there are yet more poor reviews including the fact that the customer service team completely ignore trip advisor comments and only take in written complaints to them in person despite the fact that they don't even read or reply to the written complaints and emails... "Terrible - read reviews before going so did not book online as some of the main rides were closed. Visited Oakwood to discuss reviews and was told by two members of staff at the gate that they do not give consideration to Trip Advisor comments - they only give consideration to complaints received by them in writing. Do they not think we read Trip Advisor hence my not booking online - had tried to phone them many times before travelling and could not get to speak to anyone - their marketing line is still quoting details for 2013. They still expect us to pay full price for rides that are not open. I do appreciate fully health and safety but they did not know when the rides were going to be fixed - I go a shrug of the shoulders - VERY VERY POOR - still enjoyed our holiday at other attractions - Oakwood needs to wake up and listen !!!!!" "On arrival several of rides were closed and the ones that were open queues were long E mailed oakwood park several times to air complaints and so I have received no replies (bad show on their behalf) Wont be going there again in hurry" Poor show in my opinion from the park. I certainly wouldn't want to be visiting under these circumstances and also from what I have heard from other members on TPM like speed being on 1 car op. Absolutely dreadful in my opinion aspro need to sort themselves out ASAP.

At least something in the whole of the park is decent.

Hi, like my youtube channel this isn't so much a site advert just stuck where to put it! I will be visiting various places in the next few months including the southbank, thorpe park, the london mela and maybe brighton pier. This is just a few of the places I will hopefully be attending and I will be taking my camera with me! My camera is of fairly high quality as you will know if you have seen my youtube channel and this means I am able to capture quality pictures, videos and soundscapes. Basically, I will update you on where I am visiting and what attractions are there and if you wish I can take photos/videos/sound of your desired choice. For instance it could video the swarm at several different angles for you and capture a soundscape if you desire. I know it is a bit bizzare but if anyone wants my media I am happy to offer it! When I know where I am going I will let you know and what attractions or rides are there. If you wish for anything specific please post letting me know and I will do my best to cater for you! Please note if you wish for onrides I will only provide them if I am confident with taking my camera on and if it is permitted by the ride itself. This means no rides at merlin theme parks will be able to videoed by me unfortunately! Anyway this is a bit of a stupid idea but if you want any media from me feel free to ask!

Well I did get on each ride for 38p so I have been spoilt I haven't really been used to queues lately if I'm honest. I went to chessington and waited 30 minutes at longest for dragons fury at the beginning of summer and the attended thorpe park the day after. I had some free fastracks at thorpe so the longest we waited was 30mins for samurai. I then went to Portaventura for 4 days and we had express as it was an absolute bargain of €50 for unlimited for the whole stay so I didn't have to queue except for hurakan condor where I waited 30mins at most. I then visited summer nights and had no waits at all. So yes I am used to not queueing at the moment and plan not to in the near future as will be visiting thorpe fright night on the preview night and then the first weekend and maybe the second aswell. This means I am planning not to queue as anyone would, most enthusiasts will plan their trips well to avoid queueing as much as possible

Aha never been on that version but always looked decent on videos with a nice long cycle . £3.50 is quite expensive however never seen an extreme over £3, ridden parishes and Benson's for £2.50 before and hebborns for £3. £3.50 is reaching onto the expensive side... I will be visiting the london mela 2014 on the 31st August and it always has an OK funfair provided by bob wilson. He usually brings along a KMG booster(storm), Super Bowl, a Miami and a jump and smile as well as a ghost train, funhouse and Dodgems. In previous years he has also brought along parishes/danters extreme and stargate also attended the fair one year . I would love to ride danters extreme and stargate so am hoping they attend once again this year. I will be going down and should be doing some videos maybe even on rides so I will post them. I know it's far away but I may know the line up sooner to the time and if anyone wants me to get photos or videos(offride or onride) of any specific rides or just the general atmosphere at the mela(the music, market, shows etc.) please just give me a heads up and I will be sure to bring my camera so let me know if you want any media of any sorts!

This is brilliant news. I am really looking forward to the event this year. I found the mazes last year amazing especially as it was my first ever time at fright night. However, I hope thorpe focus on a couple of things. All the mazes last year were brilliant(except Blair witch which I hope they can improve for this year!) and I hope they keep this high standard inside the mazes. However, I would like to see a few more roaming actors about as there were only ever a couple out and about. Also it would be nice to see more theming around the park and in maze queuelines. The maze queue lines were simply cattle pens and it would be nice if there could be some sorts of Halloween decorations or themeing inside them to make them look more exciting. I am also hoping that Blair witch has an increased throughput and proper queueline this year as last year it was a mess with the queue backing all the way down to samurai blocking up the pathway! I am really looking forward to the event this year and am excited to see what thorpe have in store for us.

Never been to this park but would like to, it looks very detailed and well themed despite not being very big. Still has some nice attractions by the looks of things though. Was just having a look at videos of talocan and it honestly looks amazing, the theming is excellent and the water and the fire effects are brilliant. It is of a really high standard like the rest of the rides in the park, wish merlin could have this standard of quality!

I don't think my expertness can work it out this time unfortunately I was doing youtube research and the only ones I could find with blue lightning in the middle were danters and smiths but they were both 4 arms (as in 4 sets of carriages instead of 6). Are you sure it wasn't 4 arms haha.
