I know I am pretty pessimistic but come on, it's a sign with a light behind it.
Also if there is not a scene where you think you are going to get hit by a train I will be stunned.
Edexcel did a paper a few years ago on stealth working out the acceleration, height and power. Then a year later it was a very similar question about kingda ka.
If it were to have a splash on the first decent the ride would slow down a lot and would require a lot of power to get the speed back up for the boat to reach the top. So the water level only rises for a splash to occur on the last decent.
£13m??? Is that all? What happened to £20-40m. £3m building, god knows how much on advertising. Doesn't exactly leave much. I know money doesn't equal quality but for the loved god I hope this isn't a zufari all over again.
It is an amusement park rather than a theme park. The lack of themeing I have no issue with. It looks clean and that it is meant to be there, rather than six flags.
The roof is not load bearing as it does not compile with Euro code regulations for suspended loads. It is being supported from underneath by that black pillar.
Not much you can really do with these large dive coasters. They loose speed so quickly and cost so much. It is a shame that it does follow basically the same layout as all the rest. Nice vest restraints though
For anyone interested there is a live stream about phase 2 of the alpha at 7pm on the 4th, 11th, 18th and a developer spotlight at 6pm on the 5th, 12th and 19th of may.
A £40m ride delayed so it can open 3 weeks before the end if season. You are joking right?
New tech is expected to have delays. It's no surprise its been pushed back. Especially with the 4009 companies seeming working on this. (Exaggerating for all those that take my words literally)
Hopefully while they fix the issue the other parts can be perfected.
They will just have to become clever with space. X, slammer samurai, loggers, rumba can all go on the chopping block when needed. There is still plenty of space.
Thorpe are not allowed to reclaim anymore land because of the water table.
If you look up the mtdp you can see the land Thorpe has permission for. It also says the heights that can be built to. While they can be renegotiated it is unlikely that they will apply for a ride higher than the stated heights.
As 10 year plans go that is a very empty plan. 1 coaster and some accommodation over the space of 10 years?! I think I can safely cross chessington off my watch list, best of luck to them in there very busy 10 years ahead of them.
I got that information from the local newspaper when they first introduced it. Clearly not the most reliable source.
20mph is fine in areas near schools, not everywhere. No one listens and to say it is environmentally friendly when it has no evidence at all. Elected morons who don't understand science and basic reasoning.
The academy plan is stupid but that's what you get when you make the education minister someone who has no idea about education.
The Tory's and the NHS is an issue I don't understand. They have been pouring more and more money in and asking doctors to work longer and as a result everyone hates them. The NHS needed infrastructure investment about 10 years ago so they could keep up with increasing demand. Instead labour chose to ignore it and the coalition did nothing as they could never agree.
They don't cover much at all. It's not even compulsory. All they need is 1 lesson over the course of the year. The whole education system needs seriously fixing. Something no party has yet offered a viable solution for.
