  1. Which one is usually busier? Is scarefest busier or fireworks? And are all the rides or most of them open until 2100 on fireworks nights like on a scarefest or do they close a bit earlier and the rest of the time is fireworks?
  2. Has any info been released on the 2014 scarefest yet? And also why does it show the scarefest stopping on the 2nd Novemeber and yet on the 7,8,9th the park is still showing as closing at 2100? If it is closing that late does it mean if you are staying over you will get ert as during scarefest last year it said you didn't if it was a scarefest date
  3. Anyone noticed on Twitter THORPE keep retweeting virtually every positive comment about r&r? Its clogging up my page -.-
  4. anyone know what was up with stealth today? Heard it didn't open after it broke down until 17.40
  5. I think this website has got it pretty accurate: http://www.last.fm/tag/wwtp%20radio%20-%20amity%20cove%20-%20thorpe%20park
  6. On one of the comments on Facebook THORPE said its gunna cost £25 each, I don't know if that's good as I've never been on one before to know the rough price but that's still a lot to cough up per person once you're there

  8. I've noticed before that the back row is used for fastrack when they are using the exit queue, really grinds my gears.

The past two days on the queue times its been showing Nemesis as closed... Anyone know why?
  11. I know the theme music is something that people who went a few years ago instantly recognise but people who are new to THORPE won't, compare it with the one at Alton Towers which is very catchy after hearing it once and already relatively well known and is also played in different ways with the smiler and live bands on their scarefests and things, THORPE don't have this, I think in order to make the theme more powerful and readily associated with THORPE by people they need to play it more with things like bands and rides that slightly alter it if you know what I mean. Most people might think this is a load of ****e but they should play their theme more around the park

    Your Thorpe Park

I've always thought it'd be cool to have the noise play where it does now so around the dome I think and have it so if you connect to like a Thorpe park bluetooth hotspot and have real presenters that can then pick music from your phones. I know this would be extremely difficult to do and privacy would be an issue but that would be pretty cool

    Slammer

So is it running today does anyone know?
  14. I wonder if they've decided not to re-theme it?
  15. I've just realised its 2 days away from opening, really 1 full day and has anything happened to detonator yet?
  16. Found this on YouTube today, skip to 10:12 and I think you'll all like what's still here! SouthParks Event l Thorpe Park l Including Behind The Scenes Saw, Angry Birds l Vlog 2014
  17. Am I right in thinking that the new coaster are started planning like 5 or 6 years in advance? If so then couldn't that mean that being 1 or 2 years away from construction, which I assume would be late in the planning phase, that Thorpe would have already chosen the manufactures? Wouldn't this then mean that even though Mack have built some good coasters recently that its kinda too late for Thorpe to change it? Just wondering, I'm probably completely wrong !
  18. I agree all the times I've been on it this year its been rough and I'm 6ft 2 so obviously there's less leg room anyways but it is extremely painful and cramped, particularly trying to climb over the restraints even when they're fully up is still hard
  19. Does anyone know why it closed today at 3? THORPE announced it on their twitter page
  20. In Rumba you still have to take them on with you
  21. But I'm not here to solve problems? Yes I agree that ride attendants get a hard time but me refusing these tickets won't achieve anything, most likely I'd be ignored by THORPE and given nothing and some other people will just replace me in numbers with fastrack, for me its a good thing but while fastrack is still around and its their easiest commodity of course its gunna be what they offer as 'a gesture of good will' to people who complain, I haven't forgotten what problem was still there but if you look at the previous post of mine they didn't just throw them at me, they're actually trying to do something even though there's nothing big they can really do now at this time of year. Its nice that you would refuse fastrack tickets so everyone else will benefit but the majority of people, including me who would already have a returned trip planned I'm sure would accept them and its not WRONG to do so
  22. Ah they are trying to fix it though, they told me that they keep the park open later some nights and only announce it during the day so there is a pretty constant stream of crowds leaving for about an hour, they also are now going to place more staff into the car park to aid smooth flow during peak times and they will look into adding more barriers. It should also be noted that the majority of the time the bottlenecks occur is when there has been an accident on the M25 or roadworks in Staines or some other external event that causes standstill traffic outside the park which can cause the bottlenecks inside, this was the problem over Easter when I went and has happened to me before and there isn't much that can be done about that. So they have tried to address the issues, I don't know how successful they will be but at least they have not simply given fastrack to me without all these things being outlined
  23. I understand that this is what Merlin do, but seriously, unless you are a user on here or talk to people who know this is a long term problem then why would this not make it better? Whether it's true or not they pass on your complaint, tell you what they are currently doing to try and prevent this happening again and offer you some compensation. For a family I'm sure this is a particularly attractive offer as it satisfies most of your needs for just writing an email, you feel like you are being listened to, you feel they are trying to fix the issue, and you get something from them that you would normally pay for. To you that might not seem good enough but to most customers it does as they will see it as some freebies. I admit I don't agree that the car park should still have these problems which is why I voiced my opinion, if you are unhappy with your response just continue to talk to them, I've always found them to be open to communication.
  24. The problem was to do with bottlenecks when leaving the park; nothing to do with fast track tickets. However I was offered some free ones, I'm gunna use them and so are many other people every day, me accepting them cannot be brought into question when you are now bringing in a different problem and when so many other people do it. This system, as much as some want it to will most likely never close as Merlin must gain a lot of money from it, I have never bought them or ever will; however me accepting them will not change the queues in the car park.
  25. Yeah but now I'm the reason those queues are longer... 3 times over... For free
