I get that on all of the floorless rides at Thorpe, bit awkward when you've sat facing the people on Detty and you collapse in a heap infront of them. To be fair, I've only experienced it a few times on Detty- as I usually end up getting stuck for a minute or so because I'm stupid and weak

Don't quite grasp the idea of it but I like the thought of people wanting me dead for fun and recreational purposes, I'll play.

People who take things for granted, especially if someone's going out of their way to do something for you that they really don't have to do.

The sound of Rush's hydraulics is one of the most glorious sounds ever and is abosolutely nothing to worry about! That's the same as saying the sound of a car ascending Colossus' lift hill has put you off of going on that in the sense that it's just a part of the ride working and I doubt that it can be helped anyway!

This happened to Jack with his lap bar last month actually. However he decided to tell me mid-cycle, so I was screaming like nobody's business- I'm funny with restraints as it is and the fact that this seems to be a bit of a regular occurence could prevent me from going on the ride altogether and I love Slammer but I'd sooner feel safe and reassured than spending the entire cycle trying to attatch myself to the seat.

I love it when theme parks consider the smallest details

Nemeshed Inferno

If I'm thinking about the same thing everyone else is thinking about, it's beyond the queueline fence and there's a bit of a slope to get down to it, so it's unlikely to be *intentional* vandalism(although an angry and hungry chav is a force to be reckoned with). I've noticed it during every visit this season and I thought it was decay or something - although I haven't really seen the hole grow in size- as I couldn't spot any bits from the volcano lying around, and it seemed like an odd shape and place to cut a piece from; it's rather noticable and it looks like a 'natural' shape. Don't see how a gaping hole at the bottom can be an indication of some sort of improvement or restoration work. Sorry

I just don't think they're trialling it in a very good way

Surely RnR would be seen as a good thing if you're just being let straight on with no acknowledgement of the main queue and I don't think this is fair, even if Thorpe want to enforce it permanantly on all/most of the rides, from what I've heard, it seems like they are just sugar coating the idea of RnR. Yeah it's good that they're trying new things but to essentially neglect those in the main queue who haven't got RnR (this could be down to a number of reasons- maybe they somehow hadn't heard of it or was aware it was happening etc.) just to make this new system seem fantastic isn't right in my eyes. It's not even like they're 'paying for the privellege' like I've heard some people use as an excuse for fastrackers to be grossly prioritised over those in the 'normal' main queue.

2, no offence intended- I just think you like Nemesis, a lot

1. Waiting the best part of 2 hours for Storm Surge back in 2011, 2. Waiting a solid 2 hours+ for The Swarm back in 2012, as I let my family convince me to go there first, even though I knew it was a bad idea, 3. First time I went on SAW, it broke down (surprise) and then they added cars and it was creeping up to the hour mark, I was still in the outside queue and it decided to POUR DOWN WITH RAIN- not even a little bit I mean like a torrential downpour of tropical proportions (but way more cold)- with one of SAW's resident pigeons perched in one of the holes mocking us, 4. Queuing for Inferno during FN last year in the (rather) freezing cold, watching the fastrackers gallivant up the stairs whilst we hadn't moved for a good 20 minutes, 5. Titanide at Terra Mitica. Nope. 6. Queuing for The Minotaur's Labrinth at TM for far too long for such an anti-climatical dark ride- the points system was ridiculous and corrupt and the sensors didn't pick anything up at all! 7. Oh, and Thorpe's KFC; it gets so congested around lunch time especially (obviously) and when Luke and I went back in July the tills decided they'd had enough and only one was working

Thanks, with regards to the touching not being 'that bad' something like someone grabbing my ankles would definitely freak me out a hell of a lot- even the puffs of air in Hocus Pocus Hall make me leap about 3 feet - but hey that's the point of HPH and the FN mazes I'm definitely going to take pluk and James' advice and keep my hands firmly planted on the shoulders infront of me and just make a bit of a joke out of it and laugh my way through. It's nice to know that I can ask to be taken out if I desperately need to though- thanks Altitude for the heads up

I haven't been on SAW for my last few visits so I don't know how rough it currently is, but I think the trick is to hold on and kind of move yourself in correspondence with the ride- or the complete opposite, if that makes sense- well that's what I do anyway- however I do still sometimes get the odd rough ride if I don't focus or brace properly. I'm not sure whether it's very good that I have to focus and concentrate on a ride to stop me from feeling faint! On another note, I've been suffering from a number of dizzy spells lately, and I did get a few when we went to Thorpe in July (that may have kickstarted it actually whoops) so it looks like I might be avoiding SAW for a while

I always assumed that there was a bit of a 'the actors won't touch you, so don't do the same' type policy at Thorpe also, hm. I've never been into a maze due to reasons and I'm hoping to go in some this year (with the help of some of these lovely members dragging me in ) but I'm afraid that if an actor touched me, I'd panic and possibly retaliate- does this make mazes not such a good idea for me? (Guessing it's an obvious yes).

^He'll probably fire whoever nominates him... N.B.: I am being fairly sarcastic

Get them to go on Colossus holding a bucket full of icy water please

If anyone else is looking into getting the train feel free to message me as that way we could book our seats together for the Virgin Train leg of the route as I can imagine that it'd be a bit horrible having to sit on a train alone, potentially next to strangers, for a good few hours Also, I'm just waiting on accomodation now (aka Adam getting his car fixed and/or Jack making it amongst other things) as I'd sooner stay with people that I know fairly well and stuff, sorry to be awkward!

I just saw a bit of a post about that on Facebook, courtesy of TPR. Quote taken from TPR's forum

Bit of a question, my literature result was called a 'provisional grade'- I'm assuming that's just called that as it's until I receive my certificate?

How would a comparatively tiny bird compete with a rather heavy and large metal object hurtling into it at 80mph?!

Like Alex, this is in no particular order but yeah: 1. Nemesis Inferno 2. Rush 3. Stealth (backrow ) 4. Slammer 5. Samurai 6. Detonator 7. The Swarm (not intense enough yet</3) 8. Vortex 9. Quantum- the cycle I got in April converted me 10. Loggers provided I protect my head from the slightly stagnant lake water

Well maybe they were getting stressed over a potential legitmate issue? I heard Stealth's had some issues at some point this week or late last week- it didn't like the rain. So maybe it was linked to that or was just a minor hiccup

Right. But surely if the batcher was being 'derpy' they'd have soon got them to snap out of it and just continue to batch the ride? However I feel that you can't necessarily give a reliable account as you weren't really close enough to get a true idea of what was up and I'm sorry but your time keeping isn't your strongest point either with regards to then ten minute wait.
