Whilst I agree it'll bring Detonator into the limelight, I always associated it with Inferno, I never even associated either of them with Calypso Quay anyway, I just saw them as two attractions which went hand in hand, so to speak. So I feel it could leave Inferno and it's area seeming a bit- I can't actually think of the word- empty? Although it won't physically be moved, the retheme of Detty in itself could leave Inferno seeming a bit isolated. However, it depends how much effort Thorpe put into this 'retheme'.

But I can see it seriously interfering with and possibly destroying the atmosphere and general theme of Amity nonetheless.

Have they got to KFC yet? That was my favourite part of Amity . Besides, if they completely overhaul the Amity buildings so that they all become a load of gaudy, overly bright houses, won't the whole Amity theme be lost, besides from Tidal Wave and Stealth (all though not many people realise it's meant to be a part of amity for some reason)?

I still don't understand why they're dragging Detonator into this 'land', if anything it should've been Rumba Rapids, that's screaming out for a retheme and some TLC, plus it's more of a family ride than Detty IMO. Also, the attractions seem to be a bit too spaced out, I saw what looked like the foundations for the dodgems the other week and it seemed to be more or less in Amity :L. But I guess I shan't judge until it's finished.

They will just stick a bird or two somewhere, maybe the odd pig and new signage, and I should imagine that they'd just play the Angry Birds theme. Thorpe must think they have this IP really easy. But atleast they had the sense to tie it in with an Easter event; this could really kick start Thorpe's family friendly image.

Thorpe could use this event to transition into Angry Birds Land's opening nicely, if it's even complete by then. They'd be rather naive if they didn't grasp this opportunity, but I'm sure they'll have the sense to do so.

Yeah, it's £48 untill April 27th, and £58 from the 28th onwards which still isn't too bad but the £68 renewal is a complete rip off IMO.

Rush had an awful cycle on Saturday IMO, and when I asked if we could get a better cycle, I was told it was already on the best as it 'reaches 90 degrees', the fact I was on Swing B didn't really help at all, but it seemed to get one or two high swings at best throughout the day, which was disappointing especially as it's my favourite flat, has it improved sine then does anyone know?

I plan on getting it before the £48 offer runs out, but last time I looked the renewal was £68! It seems like a bit of a rip off as most people would just get it renewed without looking into or questioning the price. It's a bit cheeky of Thorpe tbh.

I should be getting a Thorpe Annual Pass in a few weeks but the renewal seems to cost more than buying the pass brand new, but that doesn't seem to be the case with Merlin Annual Passes. Does anyone know why this is? The answer is probably blindingly obvious but it's always confused me haha.

I went on X for the first time after it's retheme on Saturday, and I must admit, despite thinking it'd be even more boring forwards I actually enjoyed it! The music and lights add so much to the ride and it's a great way to hype people up before they even get on it! And with what JTE25 said regarding the kids I couldn't agree more, the train I was on was full of young children and when the rise finished they were all so excited about their first coaster and one even said 'X is so EXtreme!' So this may also help thorpe transistion into a family park nicely, as kids too small to ride the big five will have something a bit more 'hardcore' than Fish to ride.

The mist- well, smoke was really good today. When I first walked past I saw it spilling out of the tunnel and I ran into it pahaha, but it was really thick,you literally just saw the smoke with a slight red tinge, it added so much to the ride it had to be the best ride I've ever had on Inferno!

I'm going on saturday so I should imagine it'll be busy, is Colossus still on one train operation? If it is, is it still worth going on that and saw first do you think?

Why make thorpe's signature 'thrill' ride a part of AB Land? A retheme is hardly going to change the height restrictions? That is if its not some April fools prank. But stealth is fine as it is, and why would they retheme it to AB if they have just erected a stealth shop and diner? Highly doubt this is an actual thing.

I think it being part of angry birds land is just making it more for children! It's not like drop 'n' smile at AI for goodness' sake! Thorpe would've been better off investing in a new ride for angry birds land rather than 'retheming' an 'extreme thrills' one.

Detonator is one of my favourite rides! I think that the whole retheme for angry birds land could remove some of the 'fear factor' though, and I always assumed NI and Detenator went together, mainly due to the similarities regarding colour scheme. IMO I think that the angry birds land retheme a la merlin (changing the sign and putting a bird on top) could remove the element of fear it brings into most people as it's not just the fact it's a drop tower which makes it so omnious, the simple theming and the music tie in nicely and contribute a fair amount also. So this should be interesting come may.

Maybe it'll get a paint job and new trains for its 15th birthday! But I think if they did repaint it it could end up looking somewhat tacky as it could end up being rather bright and it wouldn't fit in with the 'lost city' theme as much as it does at the moment.

I remember the noise from the first time I went to Thorpe so it must've been happening for atleast 4 years.

I know Mini Mega does it but I'm sure Colossus' lift hill stutters at some point or makes a noise.
