  1. I presume that's why you prefer DLP to WDW?
  2. But I think there's a small difference between "loving care" and making improvements. For example, the fact that Rita's entrance and surrounding area was being improved by vines and posters I think was a very good thing to do, and one that the park didn't have to do. Therefore when it was announced under the TLC programme, I wasn't thinking 'why are they telling me this?' To me that was a noticeable improvement and one that isn't expected in theme parks world wide. What I wasn't happy about was that pressure cleaning Battle Galleons (for example) was being marketed as a wonderful thing due to the TLC scheme. So, sorry if this post sounds contrived and slightly confusing, but my point is that I'm fine with theme parks advertising improvements (E.G Python or Rita) but what I'm not fine with is Theme parks advertising every time they pick up some rubbish.
  3. Indeed. Theme park TLC shouldn't be considered a marketable addition to a park - it should be considered a necessity.
  4. I don't think it does though. For me it just draws out the area and complicates it further. So, Amity comprises a fishing village, a speedway and a beach (which has more of an Atlantis themed than an Amity one). That's an awful lot of sub-themes for one section of the park isn't it? If they are going to keep the beach, surely the least they can do is make it fit in with the rest of Amity - because at the moment I'm getting more Neptune/Atlantis vibes.

Cheers Marc. It's not the fastest at the moment but I presume that's just a teething problem!(?)

What server is this on now?
  7. And the award for the best seasonal overlay goes to...
  8. A last minute Chessington trip has been sprung upon me later this week. We will have to rush of at the end so we won't be able to stay the duration that the parks open. I've never been before so I want to make sure we get on things that we want to. I'm up for all rides at the park. So, which order do you recommend I ride the rides? Do I start with Dragons fury or Vampire? Also, any other tips are much appreciated! Thanks.
  9. Ahhh. Sorry about that Sam. Just remember next time not to over think it.
  10. What!? Well, if that is true I assume that Ripsaw will just be used as spare parts for Heide's top spin: Aqua Spin.
  11. You hardly notice them! Honestly. Its just like doing a flip or a forwards roll. The speed and adrenalin is much more noticeable than inversions.
  12. @ChessingtonSam Don't worry Sam. There's no pressure - only go on rides when you feel ready for them. I'd go on The Swarm and Inferno before Colossus just because of the amount of inversions. But it'd up to you. Just don't over think it and enjoy yourself!
  13. @ChessingtonSam Ride it and see! Don't over think it too. When I was apprehensive of coasters I didn't know any enthusiasts who could tell me which seats had specific forces - and I think that helped me. I just sat on the train and let the ride happen. Just enjoy it!
  14. I think row 4 or 5 on the inside seat of the left side.
  15. A grand opening plaza with fountains as Benin suggested would be a terrific alternative to the beach. I think Thorpe need to remember one rule as they progress over time: put large rides on the perimeter of the park. Aesthetically, that would mean that upon entering the park and leaving the dome, your eyes would immediately be drawn to the horizon yet the centre of the park would look uncluttered and welcoming too.
  16. ^Well, TBH they haven't shut up about Harambe on our group chat either.
  17. ^ Exactly. The Island behind The Swarm is clearly large and will therefore probably be the spot for Thorpe's next BIG investment. Thorpe probably realise this and with therefore make sure that the investment fully utilises the piece of land as Thorpe do not have a large amount of space. Following the use of the land behind The Swarm, (whenever that may be), every small pocket of space will be made the most of. So, as this island is potentially the only big bit of land the park have left, I'm sure that the investment which uses it will be a very big one, and not a medium investment such as boomerangs.
  18. What's even worse is that you decided to vlog on the same day!
  19. I've never been to Chessington. (And I actually preferred the Flume to loggers. But I never rode Loggers with the tunnel so that may be why)
  20. "Don't press the big red button, it's big and it's staring straight back at you, but whatever you do don't press it. Just don't do it" Miles you do realise that everyone will now be clicking on that link!?
  21. ^Agree. Inversions and a possible launch seem much more marketable to TP's audience than a classic woodie.
  22. 5/10. It doesn't really look like real life you.
  23. Yeah, I'm up for a Larson Looper. Considering the fact that the park will not have had a coaster for 5 years (in 2017) then I'm sure anything that can possibly be marketed as a coaster will go down well.
  24. No, I'm sorry, this coaster would not be safe. Unique concept though.
  25. What about Rita: alive? Ohhhhh yeah. That exists too.
