  1. These packs remind me hugely of the old chessington style branding around 06? The maps used to look almost exactly like the front of the box.
  2. It's always been the case - Chessington hotel has had the same rules since they opened in 2007, they just do not put it on their website presumably because barely anyone asks about it. Remember hotel staff being very confused about 17yr olds in the hotel by themselves. Ooh.
  3. Slammer. At the top. In the rain in 2005/6. Freezing cold. Then offered a cold drink as compensation. Trolol.
  4. Wonder if it was for safety, when considering Ritas now says: Keep your heads back. Hold on tight. You must escape. Go Go................... *sips some tea*... GO.
  5. It may look bad, but expanding the hotel now should give them the additional gate figures on park, which'd give them the statistics and figures allowing them to argue for higher budgets and investment. Think lightwater valley building their holiday area, in the hope that it'd lead to more investment and replicate what mingo has done but on a friendlier scale.
  6. The same team which did all of Sub Terra Mk2 bar the scare corridor on the end, I might add.
  7. You can visit the parks as of today and collect them it seems.
  8. Sorry, who gets offended by someone saying a place is ****ty anyway? Next, you'll be crying over your mum jokes. Blackpool Pleasure Beach. In it's place just to remind you of how crap Mingo actually is. Oh, and also to give you an excuse to visit Coral Island.
  9. Should've just got rid runaway. That would've been the easier and more sensible option. Now we'll have bubbleworks v2 on our hands.
  10. Lol. It's trees that can't be removed (see other picture where LOADS of trees have gone). And that ghost is from the scarefest duel stuff they did. TowersNerd were taking the mickey when they posted this stuff y'know!!
  11. Was 2012 when they added the saw queue shop then?! Goood photos!
  12. Subway was obviously heavily thought of in the past, because it even appeared in the T&Cs of where we couldn't get discount on park. Just don't think you'd ever be able to get the volume right for a theme park subway.
  13. Blackpool isn't great, but your house is a right dive...?
  14. Less obvious than if you had BlAcKpOoL pLeAsUrE bEaCh!
  15. Hmm, blackpool are great at marketing themselves aren't they? "if you're stuck for stuff to do".

    Flooding

No, I understand that. But nothing substantial drains into the lake, so the lake levels won't rise. Drains spewing into the streets because the sewers and underground drainage system is full. That's the difference, it's a big difference. Otherwise the lake would've been the first thing to flood.
  17. The grandstand, as nice as it would've looked, would've been absolutely horrible to queue in. Much better the way it is now.

    Flooding

Nope, that's the concrete you're looking at. Unsure why they'd think a lake would flood. It's not a river, it doesn't have a billion load of water coming from miles around going to it. The only water in there is the rain that's landed in it or the extreme local area. Of course it's not gonna flood.
  19. Probably easier to get to than alton towers from where you are.
  20. I wanna ride the flying fish OUCH. I love the total unprofessionalness of this video. Must've paid some external company barely any money to make it. Brilliant.
  21. Stealth was definitely built in the short lived days of "Merch doesn't matter". It's stealth range was probably the biggest it had at the time, yet was still so poor in comparison to what you can get nowadays.
  22. Hmmm.. my first big ride.. I'd say big ticket attraction. Therefore.. Space Mountain (Magic Kingdom). Or Thunder Mountain Railroad if you wanna be boring. First inverting? Inferno. Edit: Oh crumbs, UK. Awkward. First big one would have to be X then, if we're saying 1.4m = big.
  23. Backing up guy above. The Lego movie is absolutely fantastic. If you've had any sort of even remote friendship with lego as a child, you'll absolutely adore this film. Go see it.
  24. Nonononononono. That's what people don't remember when they use these arguments. You don't ***have*** to go somewhere like this. Either you go, and you ride, or if you don't ride any rides you don't take your kids to those places and let their friends take them instead. Simple.
