Love the lack of trip tray on the postmix taps. All this now bubbles down to actual food quality. Something I'm genuinely really worried about, as their food is the worst available at any UK theme park. Even lightwaters isn't as crap as Oakwoods.
  2. They won't have charged you twice, there's no physical way unless you decided to pay for the photos twice (by typing in pin that'd be) £10 offers the physical photo and a download as well.
  3. Meh. I wish they just removed Abdab now they've ruined him rather than keep him rotting in the queueline. Very sorry affair, morons whoever took them out of the storage cupboard (like you'd need the cupboard anyway).

Would make sense them running the ride a lot at the moment for staff training purposes if it's gotten to that stage - it's been closed 10 months, the old staff need refreshing (if any are around) and new ones trained up too.
  5. Still, music is music. Yay thanks!!!
  6. Yup. Might look alright. Hopefully they paint the buildings back to more than blue. Apparently they were changing the signage at entrance yesterday? Must look better already.
  7. Yup I can imagine. Mine train can't run on much less than it does now, did anyone go at end of scarefest and they had the back 2 carriages missing?
  8. I think that's the case with all of the mack powered's here. Mine Train runs on 3/4 of their motors hence not as fast as before, pretty sure fish doesn't use all theirs either.

From Oakwood rides teams themselves it's a nightmare, because their rides aren't designed to cope with them. Putting them on via the exit slows everything down anyway. But guests seem to expect and want this crap, the amount of people who go mental because the parks refuse to sell fastrack on a dead day with 0min queues because the guest themselves are idiots. Yeah.

    Rush

I remember the old days with really good staff. Even with only two staff they can proper get that ride going if they want to. Lazy attractions staff seems to happen everywhere nowadays, how did they get all the energy and oomph they used to and what's changed?!
  11. It's weird they provide ponchos, towers just run up to just 3 rows per train for a day whilst its raining, and then it is all fine beyond then. Sure, irritating, but at least you dont have to wear an awful poncho and still don't get rust on you. Plus dispatch times shouldn't be affected so maybe the queue might move quicker than forcing everyone to wear them.

Bloody fastrack system. Not like they really need it either. Heard it was because their spanish investors enjoyed using fastrack at Alton Towers. Wonderful. Sounds good if it is an actual restaurant.. that'll be miles ahead of any of their current catering facilities. If it's even remotely near the same quality as their current food I'd stay well away. Interesting though, may have to make myself a visit in the summer again, 3rd year in a row.

Nah Thirteens is automated but it's worked out at dispatch. If the train is full (as they need to run with minimum 18 riders) the trims set on, if the train is empty it turns the trims off.
  14. I love old attractions, especially ones which I haven't visited and feel bad for not doing so. Especially this one, considering I passed the entrance without realising so many times!
  15. Copyright lasts for 100yrs. Bubbleworks isn't that old. Trademarks and stuff, presumably so!
  16. Don't expect it to be released again anytime soon. Best bet is to try and save for an annual pass.
  17. Chessie's works massively because it's extremely conveniently located to M25 and london. Thorpes could work because it's a good stopover for heathrow. But it's a far riskier strategy.

I swear it opened in May 05?! Or was that just rush?
  19. I believe they disappeared the same time Abdab appeared outside. They must've emptied that cupboard unfortunately. There's an exciting couple of areas in the tomb queueline for your enjoyment though. Fire exit, then go right for 5th dimension themed wall. To the right of the steps inside (by the tv) is a locked cupboard. Climb over the fake wall, and enjoy many trapped chairs. Yay.
  20. You're all sad for constantly being on Chessington's fb page to realise this. Just saying...
  21. I wonder why he left. Was a nice guy to talk to.

The issue with the ride is that you'd literally need about 400 staff members like it had originally to get any sort of decent throughput. The 200 or so it got an hour in the last few years are likely to be what it'll forever remain with.
  23. I was thinking along the lines of electrical engineer. The person who would've installed them, for example.
