  1. Not very safari if it's green? Stay away from arguably one of the best theme park safari's in the world then (kilamanjaro), you'll hate it.
  2. Don't understand the argument of the whole.. non-rider thing. Surely the amount of non-riders is so ridiculously low anyway, and there should be other things to do to warrant the cost if you really are gonna go and not ride anything. Not experienced it myself, someone coming when they don't do rides. They just stay at home or go cinema instead.

Thrill and pain are seperate for me. I know some enjoy that kinda stuff, but I personally do not. I'll miss the blueness of it all, and the WOWOWOWOWOW which appeared in the xmas Dr Who episode. But other than that, I'm glad to see it go.
  4. Nothing wrong with having a one area entry for small kids - cbeebies land is doing exactly that. Helps the lost children prevention. Just really poor planning, could've opened it all out had the building run alongside the area and everything around the outside with a large space in middle. Instead they killed off half the land by the placement of playhouse and capers.

Probably going in the bin. Shame, I missed out on last rides now!!!!111
  6. Do do dooooo, deeeee dooo dooo dooo. Bloody arcade machines. They instantly remind me of thorpe dome or towers valley arcade.
  7. Honestly? I don't think it'll ever be properly introduced. A phase, like the original virtual queue systems about 14yrs ago.
  8. Next they'll be saying it's worth riding. Bloody Pleasure Beach.

Apparently camelots were wild because they just had no sort of resistence - so, like legolands spinning spider, you'll be able to spin them literally as fast as you can physically turn them.
  10. It's very towersy. Very very towersy. Which is all good, cos towers advert and sort of branding is great. Buuut, some sort of individual identity would be nice.
  11. Excuses excuses excuses. It'd take a whole couple of minutes to test them. It'd be open on time regardless of if they had to check them or not.
  12. Hmm.. doesn't exactly spell exciting, sounds like a corporate inhouse video "This is what we've been achieving this year" style. Where's any talking or making people err.. wanna visit?
  13. Considering the rest of the rides say "if you're under 140cm you can not ride" it's obvious they just forgot to add the not in. Closed season creating a page of discussion, that's impressive!
  14. You can have emergency lighting which doesn't have a constant green light shining. They just chose to have that system without much thought process. Tbf, it's not like it makes a huge difference to the experience now does it?

Don't think space was as much an issue back then either. You don't wanna make a queueline where there could potentially be a new attraction etc. Nemmy is fine cos it's miles away, same with Air and to an extent thirteen. Shame thirteen doesn't interact with the ride but that was slightly the point of it.

Area three can't be connected individually, it has to be connected with area two, and would only be open if the queue went out the entrance which is extremely rare so yeah, not used as you say. That access road queue you can see the remains of the posts in the concrete, if you look opposite the nemmy entrance you see a bin and the queueline, followed by a gate onto that path. The road itself was used as a queueline, rather than an access road at the time.

Area 3s only not used because the queue never warrants it being used! Nothing to do with staff or access, it's well easy to access from multiple points for staff. Interestingly, very little of the original route has been demolished - sure, the fencing is missing, the rest is there, particularly in the woodland up by the carpark! Weirdly interesting looking at old queue routes, never see this happening for Rita will you?
  18. Your favourite park turns out to me my least favourite there, for the reasons you've stated making it good! Eurgh, Rip Ride Rockit can go eat a poo. I hated it so much.
  19. I queued 40mins for Crush's on all the times I went on it on a midweek visit in November. I imagine it'd be around the same during this off season?

The reason it's not in use is because air was built. That first drop is directly above the old queueline (next time on the ride, look to the left as leaving lifthill you'll see some bricks which just end up on grass.. that's the queue). Fastrack will remain the same. If that entire area is full from station to merge point, it's 10mins. With the extended queue open it'd be 15mins. You'd still be queueing longer with fastrack on other rides, like air.

Yeah, that queueline has always been intended to reopen, for those days when it's not quite busy enough to open the full area 2 (the queue to the left of the entrance). They've just never really gotten round to it. The main issue is that the queueline literally goes up and then opens straight into air's ride area, they need a couple of fence panels and level out the ground to reconnect both sides. Maybe one day they'll do it, or remove it. However, removing it would cost money and they're not prepared to do that yet.
  22. I think they've done huge differences to the perception of the zoo, and infact is the only part of the park to progress properly in the past 5 yrs or so. It used to be a right run down ****hole at one point, now it's comfortable, colourful and informative. They seem to put care into majority of it (creepy caves still feels 00s era though) and it's featured heavily in adverts since 06 or so.

Park building rides gains attendance boost shocker. I love this park though, needs a few more attractions to make the place truly worthwhile to visit. Currently, only worth visiting on after dark due to length of journey time to get decent hours worth there.
  24. Not particularly, every dark ride and scary things have fire exit signs, you can make them fit in. Who's to say scary buildings don't have fire exits? They do, all buildings do. It's a part of realism which is fine to exist. I was backing up Thorpe there, didn't say it was a bad thing at all apart from explaining the confusion (Note: Thirteen doesn't say breakdown, yet smiler does clearly explain a delay. Why? Because not saying it causes confusion and anger). You wouldn't just turn off an entire areas audio because it'd kill all atmosphere and make a bad situation worse, I'm not saying thorpe should turn theirs off either. Sometimes you're a penis and should read before responding.
  25. I managed to do Disney paris for 3 days for £193. It can be cheap (well, compared to what you'd probably expect). But all depends on time of year.
