Galactica
It's okay, in a few years once the money has completely gone, they'll be encouraging us all to ride without headsets, completing yet another half arsed idea from Merlin entertainments.

Your Plans for 2016
Disneyland and California Adventure in May. Disneyland Paris in November. Potential trips to Towers and Thorpe. If they prove to be on the up as the season progresses.

Derren Brown's Ghost Train: Rise of the Demon
The sense of entitlement is hilarious. Think about it, if they sold out that quickly, the chances of getting one would have been remote anyway. I find it genuinely amazing and hope the anger brigade, once they find something really worth caring about, fight for it because all this over 12 pence tickets has to be my favourite Merlin moment of the last five years.

I'm thanking Thorpe for giving me so much entertainment today. People asking for compensation. They owe you nothing.

The News
I feel de-sentisized by it. Not because I don't care but because of the blanket coverage all over the media, the outpourings of compassion because a predominately white country has been attacked, because of the people out there who will use it to push their leaving EU agendas, because the idiots will use this to justify their Islamaphobia. Even before it was confirmed as a suicide bomber, certain members of society were assuming it was an ISIS attack or just those 'dirty muslims destroying the whites again' Last week Turkey was suicide bombed twice in a week. Apart from the odd news article and third billing on BBC news, not a jiffy or thoughts towards Istanbul. I feel exhausted by the media circus already.

Alton Towers General Discussion
How many times do we have to say of course there's going to be massive cuts during the biggest accident in Alton Towers history. How. Many. Times.

Walt Disney World Resort
I wouldn't worry to much. It's the Californian one that seems more under threat then the Florida one at the moment.

Colossus
Colossus yes, Vortex yes, Inferno no thanks. I agree with periodic updates, there's always room for improvement. I can think of a lot that Inferno could get before it gets new restraints, such as proper rock work around the station shed and the music being put back to how it was. Back to Colossus though, new trains would be perfect. I wonder how many complaints that seating plan has at guest services (if any).

Phantasialand
Do we know if this is just a normal rollercoaster (if the term can even be thrown at Phantasialand) or are there trick elements to this ride?

Nemesis Inferno
Hows the repaint looking? The red waterfalls working? Missing Ripsaw?

The Smiler Incident 02/06/2015
Must have been a tense moment on that initial first ride even though we as geeks all know the ride is safe. I'm glad the ride had a trouble free day and hope that the media starts to put the incident behind them. Hard to read some of the idiotic comments over social media frankly.

Universal Studios Florida
So the question that really matters is, is this a new coaster credit or is it not. After all, its mostly new track an yet part of it remains old track. Answers on postcards please.

Walibi Holland
Not far from the truth either.

Sea World
I kind of agree. I didn't watch Blackfish, I don't need to be emotionally manipulated into thinking animals like whales should be in tanks those sizes. My problem has always been, why in particular are Seaworld the targets? They've advanced marine animal research and saved thousands of animals from death over the years. Why just whales Miles? Why not dolphins, manatees, turtles, polar bears, walruses and countless other animals at Seaworld?

Port Aventura
To be fair here, iSpeed is a lot more then just a top hat and a dodgy break run. When all you have going for you is height and speed, it's a bit odd of a decision to have your idiotic barrel monkey rollercoaster launch faster then your new mini-parks icon rollercoaster. I love that pic of the wobbly track. Makes me think the owners of PortAventura threw as little money as possible at Intamin. Would explain why Baco is so awful.

Phantasialand
Good. That thing was terrible. And the rides on the hit list. Perfect. All way past there best.. if they even had a best.

Galactica
In short yes. Thats why The Swarm is considered a failure for instance when for me it's Merlins most complete attraction.
-
Closed Rides
I'm glad you're letting us all know how unacceptable it is just in case there was some that thought it was fine.
-
Galactica
Well... sort of. My understanding is that you only slow to a crawl on the lift hill when the initial part of the break run isn't clear. The Swarm does exactly the same thing if a dispatch has been particularly quick. The ideal way they run Air from what I've witnessed is that as a train comes into Station 1, in Station 2 that train is already assuming the position and dispatching.

Galactica
Agreed. VR severely reduced Alpen Express's throughput at Europa Park, and that only uses it for about a third of the train. Towers staff are going to have to really fight to get Galatica a high throughput.
