I'm okay with that. Even if we only have Nemesis, many countries enthusiast groups would give their right shoe to have a ride like that.

  3. I get the feeling the Japanese are in general, the most enthusiastic people on the planet. When they go for something, they go hard. Long queues for the new flyer aren't surprising in the slightest.
  4. You should shop in Waitrose, we've had amazing lemon ice cream for years in much larger portions I bet
  5. I've always thought that Intamin and B&M work perfectly in different ways and there isn't really a need for B&M to suddenly go after the launch market for example, especially as Mack have pretty much taken over Intamin's stranglehold. Admittedly Intamin launches are faster then Macks but then Mack have better designs, smoother and better trains and are more reliable rollercoasters
  6. Ride Access Pass's and Yellow Wristbands directly affect park operations.
  7. I generally prefer B&M for their comfort and ease of riding. I find Intamins really need to warm up to be outstanding as Piraten was downright awful in the morning and then outstanding in the late afternoon. Wouldn't be fair to compare Expedition Ge Force because I wasn't a big fan of that especially as the train we were using with the ECC was cold. Shambhala and SIlver Star are good rides though, no question.
  8. The wikipedia page for deaths at Disney parks is a grim read.
  9. I've seen that guy photo a ceiling at a hotel in Europa Park. That is definitely not 'down with the kids'

Coaster Jamie, when I say the public think of Woodies, Blackpool springs to mind, in no way I am saying that as a bad thing. What I am saying is that there last woodie was built in the 50's, they are old rides and that is what has stuck in the GP's mind because Megafobia aside, they are the only parks to feature wooden coasters in their line up.

This viewpoint only seems to exist in the UK. I think when people think woodie, they think Blackpool.
  12. A carer along with other carers and a boy with MS once told me they used the main queue because they couldn't stand the judgemental faces from people when they got on via the exit.

  14. Darren Brown definitely wasn't.
  15. I give it a week. It' always exciting when its something new but that dies fairly quickly once the newness has gone. I remember the Swarm AP day and all the excitement from staff members.

I think it's the best Disney film since Lilo and Stitch. It's just such a feel good film and so timely what with the world seemingly at war with itself currently.
  17. It's okay, in a few years once the money has completely gone, they'll be encouraging us all to ride without headsets, completing yet another half arsed idea from Merlin entertainments.
  18. Disneyland and California Adventure in May. Disneyland Paris in November. Potential trips to Towers and Thorpe. If they prove to be on the up as the season progresses.
  19. This VR thing will be so short term IMO. It just completely destroys throughputs too much.
  20. The sense of entitlement is hilarious. Think about it, if they sold out that quickly, the chances of getting one would have been remote anyway. I find it genuinely amazing and hope the anger brigade, once they find something really worth caring about, fight for it because all this over 12 pence tickets has to be my favourite Merlin moment of the last five years.
  21. I'm thanking Thorpe for giving me so much entertainment today. People asking for compensation. They owe you nothing.
  22. The sweet scent of Twitter outrage.

I feel de-sentisized by it. Not because I don't care but because of the blanket coverage all over the media, the outpourings of compassion because a predominately white country has been attacked, because of the people out there who will use it to push their leaving EU agendas, because the idiots will use this to justify their Islamaphobia. Even before it was confirmed as a suicide bomber, certain members of society were assuming it was an ISIS attack or just those 'dirty muslims destroying the whites again' Last week Turkey was suicide bombed twice in a week. Apart from the odd news article and third billing on BBC news, not a jiffy or thoughts towards Istanbul. I feel exhausted by the media circus already.
  24. How many times do we have to say of course there's going to be massive cuts during the biggest accident in Alton Towers history. How. Many. Times.
  25. I wouldn't worry to much. It's the Californian one that seems more under threat then the Florida one at the moment.
