  1. So have I. That doesn't mean I become an unwavering sycophant and just unrelentlessly criticise a ride that hasn't even opened yet.
  2. - We're either a forum that is too biased towards Thorpe or one that is too negative. It's funny, we've been accused of both. What you aren't doing is being constructive. It's all 'I wanted the last train' and 'rides should always be open'. Majority of members here like Josh C aren't happy Stealth is closed but understand that there is a reason for its closure. - Many times I've been to theme parks and their signature rides have been closed. I shrug it off, it's out of my control and I move on. Turned up to DLP with Space Mountain and Thunder Mountain unexpectedly closed all day and just got on with it as there are many more important things to worry about. The vast majority of paying guests do the same.
  3. 'Tidal Waves broken its lift chain' SHOULD BE OPEN ANYWAY, EVEN IF THE BOATS CANT GET TO THE TOP 'Fury's stalled' SHOULD BE OPEN ANYWAY, EVEN IF IT MEANS CARS GET STUCK AT THE BLOCKS 'Hulk has had the majority of its track removed for a massive refurbishment' IT SHOULD BE OPEN ANYWAY, EVEN IF THERE IS NO TRACK FOR THE TRAIN TO GO ALONG Do you know how stupid, 'it should be open' sounds? We don't know why Stealth is closed, it might reopen in a few days time, in the same way that Slammer was supposed to be out for the rest of the year.
  4. You didn't pass any praise or well done to Thorpe when they got Slammer reopened (at least, not publicly on TPM), especially when they announced it was to be closed for the rest of the season, so I can only deduce you're on this forum to whine and moan when anything goes wrong.
  5. Thats what terms and conditions are for.
  6. I've had several visits where some days have had Space Mountain and Thunder Mountain closed. Still enjoyed my visits though. Thunder Mountain desperately needs this refurb, it's been a long time coming.
  7. Christ. Organised fandom can be awesome majority of the time, but this kind of cynicism makes me wonder why you bother.
  8. Or go out in Hackney/Croydon on a Friday night.

    Slammer

    Oh slammer, you are amazing.
  10. Would going to pay per use attractions keep the queues down for some of the mazes. It may help increase the quality. Everyones raving about the Towers mazes, but I've heard nothing but mixed reviews for all of Thorpes this season.
  11. Well we say somber but we know it's coming back so it's not that bad

    Air

Where is it advertised on the map as a thrill ride?
  13. There is no time for TPM and chill. Reading this forum is rarely chill territory.
  14. On the other hand, WALK ON QUEUES ON THE SWARM. :D

    Air

It's not a thrill coaster and it has never been advertised as one.
  16. They must have money to burn if they are putting that much effort into a run of the mill teacup ride.
  17. I'll be at this one. Although, won't be doing Merlin attractions and just the pub/meal.

    Air

No. I'm hoping it's a touch up and a retheme of sorts. Air, as a ride has nothing wrong with it.
  19. Thanks to Europa Street. Woo!
  20. I'm the first to say something when a place or a thing annoys me, I certainly don't have a Thorpe can do no wrong attitude. The difference is, I'm constructive. Majority of your posts read like you just really hate the place and are only going to have a good old moan about it. Trip advisor reporters probably don't start their comments with 'I bought an annual pass even though I've visited a lot this year and really think its run badly'.
